The First Chapter to a grand adventure

Ducklett slammed into Riolu and immediately took off. Already in it's misty little mind, it had worked out that one needed to be on their feet. The law of the wild was, beat or be beaten. And possibly captured. It caught sight of the pokeball and went into convulsions of fear. It wasn't weak yet. That gave it some hope. Circling around, it rushed at Riolu, pulled back and hovered in mid air before unleashing an Air Cutter.

Ace jumped from the tree back to the lamppost to dodge, from there he shot an aura sphere to hit the ground behind Ducklett, and then leaped straight for the pokemon coming around with its real attack "Bullet Punch" case said in sync with Ace's actions.

The Aura Sphere caused dust to fly up, enveloping Ducklett in a cloud. However, it was nowhere to be seen when the cloud cleared, obviously evading the Bullet Punch. Wherever Ducklett was hiding, it was doing a good job of it.

(Because Riolu can sense aura, I can tell you that Ducklett's hiding underneath, in the hole the Aura Sphere caused and was filled up with the dust.)

Ace pretended notice where the ducklett was hiding, he pretended to lower his guard, but through sensing its aura he watched the ducklett's movements, ace was ready to attack at a moments notice.

Ducklett sat still, not moving a muscle. It lay there frozen. It may have been made out of marble for all it cared. It had no idea it's aura was being sensed.

Ace walked around with his back to the hole as if trying to find the ducklett, he stops with his back turned a foot away from the hole.

Ducklett heard the footsteps and tensed. Every muscle was geared and coiled up for immediate and explosive action. Already some water bubbled up at it's mouth.

once again in sync Case called it as Ace attacked "Bullet Punch", Ace span his whole body in a split second aiming to hit the ducklett on top of its head slamming it into the ground, before giving it a chance to attack.

Ducklett was smashed on it's skull but suddenly erupted from the ground and fired a Water Gun and Air Cutter simultaneously, at close range.

Case didn't need to call it Ace had used Endure as the attacks hit.

(Hmm, since both attacks probably hit, Riolu's in the red and Ducklett's probably hovering between orange-red. Probably. Estimation.)

Ducklett smirked and released another Air Cutter.

Ace dodged it by ducking/running/side stepping ( ducking when nessacary) towards the ducklett. Ace threw an aura sphere as he ran and threw a bullet punch, ace's image was hidden behind the aura sphere. after the attack hopefully hit the Pokémon Case would throw the pokeball at the ducklett.

Ducklett swooped up, was hit by the Aura Sphere and hovered atleast 20 feet off the ground, releasing an Air Cutter and a Water Pulse simultaneously.

"Bullet punch dodge." Case yelled at Ace (same thing as ealier of using bullet punch to throw himself around to try and dodge) with his free hand he shot an aura sphere.

(final health check, if ducklett is red my next move throw to a pokeball)

Ducklett eyed the dexterity of it's foe and decided enough was enough. It couldn't match the Riolu. Even with the resistance and type advantage, the Riolu had won out. It turned tail and ran.

As it runs case throws a pokeball. hoping he still has a chance to catch it.

Ducklett let out a quack as the pokeball struck it. It was absorbed in and fell to the ground. After moving weakly for a few seconds, against all odds, it erupted from the pokeball, gasping. It had apparently taken a huge effort to get out. The pokeball flew back to the trainer's hand. Eyeing the Riolu with pure malice and matred, it unleashed an Air Cutter. It wanted a battle, fine. It would give it one.

"Aura Sphere, Ace." Case yelled as stomping on the ground, Ace shot the aura sphere underneath his feet hoping it would create a dust could and hole like earlier giving Ace the advantage of surprise that the Ducklett thought it had earlier. while ace did this case threw the pokeball that had returned to his hand at the Ducklett once again.

This time the pokeball hardly shook, the weakened Ducklett proving no challenge. It quickly clicked.

Case walks over to Ace and carries him on his back, before collecting the pokeball. (due to the huge graze on his back (its going to leave a scar) carrying Ace is putting him through pain.)

He smiled as he felt the blood from his opening wound drip down his back, "you did it buddy," he said to his partner, "We caught it just like you wanted, We'll leave it with nurse joy to give it her."

Ace had now fallen unconscious from exhaustion, "before we leave for Oreburgh City, lets go sighting." Case carried both Pokémon to nurse joy who healed them, (during this time Case got a new bandage for his back), they left the ducklett with nurse joy to give to Tera.

*night time

Instead of sleeping at the Pokémon centre Case and Ace sleep under a tree in the park.

(Why is his back wounded?)

An Illumise napping in the trees lost her grip and tumbled down onto the trainer below, still asleep.


Level 13

(if you read over the events from before you came our mod you would find that he grazed his back badly from breaking a Pokémon's fall, from carrying Ace on his back the graze burst open making it an open wound)

Case being a heavy sleeper doesn't notice it, Ace on the other hand is woken up and tries to wake up the sleeping Illumise (no violently)

The Illumise blearily opened her eyes. She sat up drowsily, saw the Riolu and panicked. Unfortunately the fall had crumpled her wings. With a little time and effort, she could easily clear out the crinkles and fly again, but did she really have that time? She sat there, trembling, already feeling her wings clearing out the crinkles and becoming smoother by the minute.

"Ri," (hi) ace smiles at the Illumise. "Riolu, lu, ri, ro, riolu" (you fell out of your tree, while sleeping)

It feebly raised a hand in a futile gesture of friendliness. "Ill." (Hi. So it seems...) She trailed off and it looked up at it's perch.
