The hunt to defossilize continues

Quagsire pulled up on shore. He shook himself off, but Burton was still on his back and was sent flying. Burton got up and shook himself off while Mew laughed hysterically. Burton let his other Pokemon out and looked around. Quagsire seemed rather tired, and got back into his Poke Ball. So did Spearow and Rattata. Burton noticed that the sky was darkening. "Alright, guys," he said, looking around at Charmander, Mew and Epillar, "Let's go." He wandered around the city a little, then came to a stop in front of a building with a sign that read:
He went inside and approached the first person he saw. "Hi, do you know where I could get this restored?" he asked, holding out the fossil.

"Upstairs, there's loads of strange devices up there, im sure you can find what you need, up there" a receptionist said

"Thank you so much for responding to the question I asked, doing your JOB as a worker for the Devon Corporation which nobody else would," said Burton, glancing around at the staff of the Devon Corp. He hurried upstairs, Charmander huffing and puffing behind him. Upstairs they found a room with tables, each lined with equipment and electronic devices. Burton approached one with a picture of a fossil on it. There was only one device on this table. He picked it up and put his fossil in a little slot in the side of the machine where it fit perfectly. A green button was right next to the slot, and he pressed it. There was a hum and a sound like a motor whirring to life, then after a few seconds there was a DING! and all the noise stopped. He noticed the fossil had vanished. A flap like the one on a gumball machine where you get your gumball gave a little click, and Burton opened it. Inside was a Poke Ball. Burton pressed the button on the side, and out popped a female Omanyte, level 17! (I used an RNG.) The Omanyte didn't look like it was enjoying itself in the present and Burton figured it might need some time to get used to it, so he put it in a nearby PC storage system and left the building; the hunt to defossilize was over. (Thank God.) "Well, Charmander, now what?" asked Burton, squinting in the sudden sunlight. She grabbed his Pokedex and scrolled up. It stopped on Charmeleon. She pointed at it, then herself. "You'd like that, huh?" Charmander nodded. "Alright then, let's find you something worth loads of experience!" And just as he said it, a(n) ______ attacked!

Silana! (F, lvl 12)
She uses Sweet Kiss

The attack confused Charmander. "Charmander, Growl," instructed Burton, readying a different Poke Ball. She growled, hoping to lower Silana's Atack.

Silana is affected and starts singing (Ancient Song)

"Charmander, come back!" Burton cried, recalling Charmander. Now she'll get the experience and she won't be squashed like a bug, he thought. He waited until the Ancient Song had ended, then said, "Let's go, Quagsire. Use Surf!" A great wave of water rose up underneath Quagsire. He rode it until it hovered directly above Silana, then it began to tumble and crash down on her.

Silina takes off flying faster than you could have thought possible and the wave misses her. She then uses High Jump Kick on Quagsire

But the wave crashed down right at that moment, and Silana kept going and crashed!
"Great!" exclaimed Burton, "If we can just get her to do that again she'll be finished! Let's go, Mew!" he shouted, recalling Quagsire. Mew darted forward, bouncing on air. "Just do everything you can to avoid Silana, but whatever you do DON'T GET HIT!" All of a sudden a Watchog tottered up to Burton with a Poke Ball and got inside. It clicked. "Cool!" said Burton happily. "Spearow, why don't you take Rattata to a PC?" Rattata seemed happy to go, Spearow... not so much. Spearow came back minutes later.

Silana uses Sweet Kiss at mew

Burton started to shout, "Mew, avoi-" but it was too late. Mew was confused. "Alright, Mew: stay away from Silana. Try to look like you're just within her Hi Jump Kick's range." Mew hovered a moment, then nodded and floated to a different spot.

Silana wasn't that dumb and heard him. She starts laughing her head off so hard she had trouble keeping in the air

Burton sneaked over to Mew and whispered "Pound" in his ear. Mew shot forward and smacked Silana with his tiny little fist. He wavered, unsure if he'd done what he was told since he was still confused.

Silana had gotten a stick and the Pound had broken it in two as Silana's laughing dies down. She then starts Singing (Ancient Song)

"Mew, cover your ears," said Burton, but Mew just stared Dimly at him and used Pound on himself. The attack hit and Mew was hurt. "Gah... Let's hope you snap out of your funk soon," said Burton. He didn't tell Mew to do anything else for fear of making Mew inflict damage on himself again.

Silana could tell Burton was worried about Mew. She flies off and returns a few minutes later with a small bucket of ice water that she dumps on Mew

Mew gasped and shook his head. He shook himself off and gave Silana a look like:

Burton tried hard to hide his laughter but it wasn't easy. Mew flew off, grabbing Burton's hat as he passed. Burton sighed and looked at the Silana. "You're one tough cookie. But hey, at least Mew's out of his funk." He tossed Quagsire's Poke Ball forward. "Mud Bomb," he said to Quagsire. Quagsire spewed forth a ball of mud and hurled it at Silana. A fuse stuck out the side.

Silana dodges and clings onto Burton's back where he couldn't reach to get her off

Burton flailed about madly, attracting quite a few stares. He felt his felt grow hot like it was on fire, then realized that was it: He stopped, dropped, and began rolling over, forcing Silana off of his back.

Silana covers itself in a Aura Shield and kept clinging on

"I- can't- get- this- durned- Pokemon- off!" Burton stood up, his hair rather tousled. "Well, she can't hide in there forever. Quagsire, come to my side and use Water Gun at the side of the Shield until she takes it down. Make sure you come from the side. If you come from the back she'll just zip away and you'll be squirting water all over me." Quagsire ambled to Burton's right and started using Water Gun on Silana's Aura Shield.

Silana warps the shield so the water hits it and sprays all over Burton

"Bah! Pwuf! Quag-fwah! Qua-pbbt QUAGSIREWOULDYOUQUITWITHTHEWATERGUN!?" Quagsire stopped jetting water. Burton, sopping wet and cursing Silana said through gritted teeth, "Use Mud Bomb, Quagsire. Use Mud Bomb until you hit hit the bi-" BOOM! The first Mud Bomb had exploded.

Silana falls off Burton's back laughing her head off thinking it funny how he reacted to getting wet

"Quagsire, now's our chance! Mud Bomb!" Quagsire jumped at Silana at bent over her; his face was a foot from hers. At point-blank range Quagsire used his strongest move, right at Silana's face. The mud shot out of his mouth at lightning speed, faster than Silana could've hoped to move.
(I'm doing this part because I've had this danged egg since December 4th and it hasn't hatched.)
Suddenly, Burton's fire egg began to quiver. It cracked and a hole appeared in the side. Suddenly, the whole thing burst into a thousand pieces, and in Burton's hands was a baby __________!!
