Silana is hit and is left very weak. It can't even get up

Burton saw a Poke Ball laying on the ground and stuck Vulpix in it. Now he had to decide: did he want the Silana or the experience?
"Charmander, come on. Scratch." Burton felt it appropriate that Charmander should finish the fight she started. She stepped forward and held up her claw then brought it down hard at Silana.

Silana manages to lift her wing and block it though it left red marks on her wing

Burton had one last chance to consider: Did he, or did he not want this Silana? No, he decided firmly. This one isn't for me. "Charmander. Go on." Charmander used Scratch again, as hard as she could.

Silana faints and Charmander gains some EXP

"Right. That was good! We won," said Burton. He glanced around and sighed.
"Charmander, let's go to Pewter City and start challenging gyms. Are you up for that?" Charmander nodded.
"Char!"
"Then let's go," said Burton, waving over Quagsire. Mew bobbed up behind him, slightly damp. "Mew, why don't you fly Vulpix here to the Daycare on Route 117?" asked Burton, holding out the Poke Ball. Mew took it and disappeared around a corner. He reappeared minutes later.
"Okay, everyone, let's go!" called Burton, and he climbed onto Quagsire. Quagsire kicked off and began paddling quickly. Mew replaced Burton's hat on top of Burton's head. They were off to Pewter City.
