Reluctant first steps

Anger was his main focus. Having to start providing for himself was not exactly what he had in mind for today. He was gonna go try out for a role in the new Gligar Man. He stomped off down the road. He knew the part would have been as good as his. Letting his feet take him wherever, his mind to focused on that Gligar Man role, he ended up walking out towards the wilderness that surrounded Rustboro City. If he wasn't going to be allowed to be spoiled, he was going to need to get away from the city or else he'd go crazy. Reaching into his pocket, he grabbed his minimized pokeball. Holding it in his hand and looking at it, he smiled. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad. Pressing the button on the ball with his thumb, the ball maximized to normal size. He threw it in the air. "Come out, Katie! You can get some fresh air."

Out of the pokeball came his light blue Nidoran. He smiled, actually happy to see her instead of thinking about all the money that he didn't have. "Katie, we should train so we can put on amazing shows. I think we'd work great as a show team. I can be a Coordinator and you could be the most beautiful Nidoran in there is. What do you say?"

Her reaction was instant. She squealed with happiness. Katie leapt into Yaji's arms and nuzzled him. "Niiiii!"

He hugged her in his arms. "I suppose I can get used to this. Let's go find a Pokémon we can fight, sound like a plan?"

Katie got a determined look on her face. "Nido!"

Then a geodude level 7 male went infront of yaji's feet to try and trip him

It worked. The tall, lanky guy fell flat on his face. A sharp pain in his foot and shin now permeating as well. He was wincing in pain, rolling over and sitting on his butt. He glared at the Geodude, but didn't stand up. "Katie, time to get scary. Use Growl!"

Katie was the opposite of scary. Her growl was actually cute. But with hope, it could frighten a Geodude.

Geodude laughed and petted katie then used hammer arm at katie's face

Katie squealed like a pig as she got punched in the face with some powerful force. She was thrown backwards, being rolled over and over for a few feet. She struggled up onto her feet. She was able to shake off the attack, it just knocked her away. She charged at the Geodude and tackled it.

"Katie! I didn't say tackle it! I was gonna have you growl again!" Yaji yelled in shock.

"Niii!"

it hit but didnt do much,geodude then used its own tackle

"Katie, be tough and take the tackle. Try and focus on you Poison Point ability to let Geodude get poisoned. You can do it."

Katie had a sparkle of affection in her eyes as she stood her ground. "Nido!"

Geodude then hit katie,but got poisoned,while it was close,it tried another hammer arm

"Katie, dodge his Hammer Arm!"

Katie tried to dodge, but was punched in the face again. She whimpered, but wasn't ready to give up. "Raaa"

"Katie, use growl. You can weaken Geodude's attacks and he'll faint from poison."

With that, Katie ran up and growled right in Geodude's face.

Geodude then used defense curl

"It won't do much, but use Tackle. We can really go for the bulking you up, Katie!"

Katie ran at Geodude as fast as she can and tried hard to tackle the rocky Pokémon.

it hit but since geodude is rock,it hurt katie's head,geodude then used another hammer arm

"Alright Katie, dodge it and come back here." He smirked and pulled an empty pokeball out of his pocket. "Geodude. It's you and me. Pokeball, go!"

Yaji threw a regular pokeball at Geodude.

Geodude rolled at yaji,dodging the pokeball and then used tackle at his shin

Yaji was knocked to the ground. In fact, his shin was broken from the attack of a rock-like creature. He screamed in severe pain. In no way was Yaji tough, and there was no reason for him to pretend. Katie ran over to him.

"Nii!" She tackle, hugged Yaji and made sure he was okay. Then she turned to the Geodude, furious. She charged at the rock thing and tackled it again.

Kenjiro and Rai stood off to the side watching the two Pokémon fight. "It seems your having trouble friend." he said with a lazy look in his eye. Watching the geodude roll at the guys shin he simply said "Jump." before looking at the geodude "It WOULD make a good partner to the team Rai." he said. He looked when he heard the scream and simply said "Rai...Force Palm." as the Pokémon unleashed said attack.

Geodude was hit by both then used hammer arm at them both

Katie ran back to Yaji and jumped in his arms while watching the new human and Riolu come and fight the Geodude that practically beat her and Yaji.

Yaji's leg was bleeding and swelling from the break in his shin. He was gonna need crutches and a cast. Going to the hospital was going to have to happen and soon. He held onto Katie tightly and tried not to cry.

Rai was hit but got back up quickly "Force palm again." he said as rai launched the attack at the geodude once more.

Geodude dodged and used defense curl

"He's all yours. If I try and catch that geodude... I'm gonna end up breaking all the bones in my body." Yaji continued to sit and just held onto Katie.

Kenjiro nodded before walking over and stealing one of the mans pokeballs. "I'll pay you back for this." he said. "Rai...Force palm again." once the attack was going to attempt to hit the geodude. He threw the pokeball in hopes of catching it.

it hit and geodude flew back dodging the pokeball

"Katie, go tackle that Geodude from behind!"

Katie ran passed the Riolu, circled around the Geodude and tackled it from behind.
