Practice for the contest (open)

A warm sunny day had been ushered into the Sinnoh region, and of course the town was bustling with excitement for the contest that was drawing near. The pokemon center was full of trainers either getting ready for the contests, about to face the gym, or simply passing through. Out back in the practice feilds, a young coordinator was prepping for her big day fastly approaching. Alice stood with her sun yellow hair tied back against her head, and a pokeball capsule in her hand.
When her Pichu Seraphina saw her trainer nod, the samll Pichu pressed play on her trainers MP3. Alice's scarlet red eyes snapped open and she threw up the pokeball in her hand.
"Dante let's go!!"
She cried, the pokeball snapping open to a blazing inferno, out fo the inferno shot up a figure in the sky, with a mighty wing flap a Charizard showed itself and cried out intimidatingly. With a flap he hovered above the ground as the music picked up. Then as a voice rang out huskly Alice raised her hand.
'FALL!'
"Dante, use Dragon Rage!!"
The mighty fire type reared back his head and shot out a dazzling purple and yellow fire toward the ground, the attack licking at the ground. With a falp of his leathry wings the attack rose even higher toward the sky.
"Now, use Smokescreen!"
A black fog surrounded the Dragon Rage, dulling it to make the area appear dark. And only Dant'es red eyes gleamed through the smoke.
'Now the dark begins to rise
Save your breath it's far from over!"
Then, havign practiced this so many times before, Dante flapped his wings in a Wing Attack. The fog and Dragon Rage disappearing as he assended into the sky, then flipped backwards into a spiral nose dive.
'Leave the lost and dead behind!
Now's your chance to run for cover!'

Hearing the voice that was approaching her, Alice motioned toward her Pichu and she cut the music. Dante, wondering what had happened, landed beside Alice and craned his neck down to beside his trainer. Alice then softly petted his head and horns, making him smile and croon happily.
"Thank you very much. I just got him a while back, I think he's ready for his contest debut. I'm sure I'll get far with him."
Seraphina, the Pichu on the bench, hopped over and was lifted onto Dante's head with his tail, the Pichu squealing in delight. The big Charizard had a huge soft spot for the little lady, and he'd become like a father figure to her.
"My name's Alice, this is Dante and this is my Pichu Seraphina."
The Pichu hoped up and stood tall with her paws at the ends of her face with an adroable wink.
"Pichu!"

"Wow! Impresive team you have there! My only other pokemon is my Snorunt Rune, but she and Seraphina still need a lot of training if they want to get in on the action too. They both show a lot of promise though."
As if on que, her Snorunt hubbled over and jumped up and down at Gallade. She seemed to have taken a liking to him and wanted to be friends. As she watched Alice laughed softly with a smile.
"Speaking of, that's my Snorunt Rune. I met her in Snowpoint city a ways back. Her parents were in a big fight with this fire type and her mother was captured. Lucky the capters sister taked her into letting the mother go. And then Rune just wanted to come with me, she and Seraphina are attached at the hip.
Though I don't think she likes Dante very well at all.."
She said, watching as Rune backed away from Dante a bit more. Maybe it was cause of her fire type weakness? Who's to say?

"Seems like you do have it down to a tee. Dante's got his rutine down pretty well too, so much that he knows his cues from the song yrics without my help. We've praticed for weeks, my kind of appeals take all that time. You see-"
She said, walking over to Rune and picking her up. While holding her in her arms Alice softly petted Dante head, and Rune coward a bit but after a reassuring smile from Alice she slowly climbed from her arms and onto Dante. Once on, Dante falpped his wings and took Rune for a little joy ride, the Snorunt enjoying the ride very much and holding onto his wings so she owuldn't fall.
"I share a passion for music as well as a passion for pokemon. So I decided to marry the two worlds and that's where I got the idea to do my appeals to music. Not only does it take me a few days to plan the appea, but their's finding the song, mixing it just right, and then actual rehersal. It's hard work but it's a real crowd pleaser."

Alice watched the two bonding, Rune now finding Dante much more freindly then she first though. While he was big and strong, Dante was also a very good guy, who loved Seraphina and rune like his own. A smile crossed over her face as she heard Sky compliment her that way, but then she took a double take when he asked if she wanted to travel with him.
For a moment she simply stared at him, then she looked over his team. So much potential, they could learn a lot from them all. Then with a smile she turned and nodded, as she watched Seraphina playing with Infernape.
"That's pretty off the bat, but sure that sounds like fun! You all seem really nice too, I think me and my team could learn a lot from traveling. Plus, I think they've all taken a shine to each other."
She said, and pointed to Seraphina hopping from Infernape's arm to Empoleons crest and finally to Torterra's tree. Rune and Dante joined the group shortly after, Rune jumping right onto Torterra's back with Seraphina as Dante watched while discussing with Infernape.

Alice watched as Sky went over and talked with his team, Infernape throwing a few punches in excitement. It made her happy to know that she'd now have great friends to stand by her. But with the up coming contest she couldn't get too soft, it was all or nothing no going easy.
Joining the crowd, she smiled and tossed one arm over Dante's neck, and with the other she nudged Lucarios arm in a teasing manner.
"We may be friends now, but don't go thinking I'm going easy on you in the contest. Dante and I are going to give it all we got no matter what, right big fella?!"
Dante craned back his neck and shot a Flamethrower toward the sky in excitment.
"That's my boy! I don't ask the universe of my team, just that they do their best, if they gave their all its all that matters. Win or loose I still have my friends."

"I think it starts in a few hours, let me see..."
she said and dug into her back pocket, present a folded peice of paper. Unfolding the sheet she read her registration info and nodded.
"Yep, looks like it starts at two this afternoon. I went and registered yesterday me and Dante are all set to go. Right buddy?"
Dante nodded, giving a determined face with a victory pose, his head down and wings spread out.
"Yeah that's the spirit!"

Dante huffed through his nose, hot embers shotting from his nostrils before his tail flicked back and forth with a smile on his face. He was only playing, and giving his new friend a bit of a challenge, if they should happen to meet in the rounds following the first. As Sky mentioned food her stomach growled and she laughed sheepishly.
"That sounds like a plan, I'm hungry myself I just hadn't realized it."

Alice returned Rune and Dante, and Seraphina hopped onto her shoulders and smiled.
"I don't know many places, let's look around shall we?"
She said as she followed beside him. Seraphina leapt from Alice's shoulders and onto Gallades head. She giggled and held onto the crest on his head.
"I think Seraphina likes you Gallade."

As thye walked Alice got a really good look at the city. It was absolutely beautiful! No wonder it was a meeting place for pokemon coordinators and others alike. the contest hall was getting ready for the approaching contest, that staff hanging banners across the enourmous building. Oh the potential the place had for her performance. She hoped it would leave the crowd breathless.
As thye appraoched the restaurant she looked around herself, what a fancy place it was! As they were shown a table with a lovely veiw, she watched the children run around with the baby pokemon and play. As Sky asked what she'd like, she scanned the menu and finally caught something she'd like.
"This sounds good: spagehtti and meetballs. Simple but it's my favorite."

Giving her menu back to the waiter and watching him leave, she looked to Sky as he asked what song she'd be playing for her appeal.
"I'll be using an editted version of I will not Bow. It's a really great song and I think it really shows Dante's battling style. He's a tough guy who won't give in easily at all."
She said, and watched as Gallade cam back into the restaurant. Seraphina hopped onto the seat beside Alice and sat in her lap, getting her head pet, giving off a soft squeal.

Finally the food came and Alice looked even hungrier then before. She devoured her food almost as soon as the plate was set onto the table.
"It's delicious!"
She said simply before going back to it. Seraphina crawled out from Alice's lap to let her eat, and hopped over to Gallade and Lucario.
'You're trainer is a really nice guy, I hope you guys will do well in the contest!'

Seraphina turned around to face Sky and then gave a sheepish smile, rubbing the back of her head with a blush. Alice laughed as her little Pichu became embarrased and then heard Sky talk about a designer that might be a good asset to her. As he stood so did she, following him out as Seraphina hopped onto her shoulder again.
Alice already had the perfect outfit that would really flare when it came up in the appeal, but it could never hurt to look could it? She followed after Sky, curious to see how exactly this person took to designing clothes.
