Training in Viridian Forest? [Mod needed...]

"Metapod doesn't look like she can stay in any longer, Charmel could probably take a few more hits. But that's it. Neither of them want to lose, that much is obvious. And I don't want Metapod to get hurt anymore then she has to..." Kevin said as Charmel's fist glowed dully with fighting type energy as he charged at Eletrike, swinging his fist as hard as he could at the electric type before swinging his tail at Tynamo in an attempt to seriously burn it..

Electrike saw the incoming fist and opened it's mouth, fangs bared and glowing for a Bite, to chomp down on the wrist should the fist come closer. Of course it would get hurt in return too. Tynamo was blown back by the flames, hanging on weakly before releasing a Charge Beam at the Charmander.

"Ma..." Machop looked ready to jump in should the situation turn critical.

Charmel winced as he was bitten, he then swing his other fist at the others face before using Ember at the Charge Beam. Metapod, forgotten for the moment, used Harden then Tackle. She charged at the Tynamo as fast as she could. She knew that she had to rely on speed, strength, and teamwork if they were going to win or get any closer to winning. She knew that she was at least slightly faster and stronger then most Metapods since her small bit of training not to long ago.

Tynamo dropped to the ground, limp and fainted. Electrike grew enraged and yet afraid. Growling from between it's teeth and released a Shock Wave at close range. Sure as it was to hit, it released a couple more of them at the Charmander.

Charmel cried out in pain before snarling. He glared at the Electrike as he panted heavily before he punched the electric type with another Rock Smash in the nose then launching an Ember attack. Kevin held his breath, he knew the look on Charmel's face; it was one of impatients, irritation, annoyance and anger. Charmel wasn't going to let himself be beat, he was a stubborn and prideful little fire type that Kev figured he spoiled to much.

"Metapod, you can get off the feild now." he called out to the bug type, who tiredly made her way to her trainer to be picked up by him. He looked over her wounds and sighed. "You did great, just rest now." he murmered, patting the bug type affectionately as he watched the battle. Metapod watched as well, curious as to who would win in the end. It was obvious that Charmel was getting tired, but he also wanted to win very badly. To her she could tell that becoming stronger was important to the fire type. Kevin pulled a Pokeball out and tossed it at the Tynamo, he didn't like the idea of just letting it lay there.

The Tynamo was absorbed into the ball. Offering no resistance, it was quickly caught. Electrike was hurt and its nose sore what from previous adventures. It whimpered and released another Shock Wave.

(Mhm.)

"Charmel..." Kevin said quietly, he was sure both Pokemon didn't want the battle to continue. He tossed a pokeball at the electric type. Charmel had made some distance between himself and the other Pokemon, tired and in pain. He watched the other warily as he waited.

In the weakened state that Electrike was, it made for easy picking. Immediately the ball clicked.

"I'll call Tynamo Nemo and Electrike Ryu." Kevin said, putting both poke balls on his belt. He then turned towards Charmel. "You did great, the both of you." he said before returning both Charmel and Metapod. He then sighed and sat down in the middle of the field.

"Yoku should be back by now..." he muttered.

Just as the words were spoken, Yoku appeared from the trees. Stray leaves and branches clug to her hair while sharp burrs from the weeds lay now entangled in her clothes. Yoku herself had the look of pure exhaustion on her face, and Tamogo, who still sat nestled in her arms, didn't look any better. It looked as if the pair had fought off the forest come to life, and in a sense, they had.

Spotting Kevin, she breathed a sigh of relief before bounding toward him and slumping onto the ground in exhaustion. "Got lost," she said, her labored breathing finally able to catch up with her, "and fell down a hill. The bushes were hiding it," another large breath, "took us this entire time to untangle ourselves from all the brush and find you." She smiled, deciding to make light of the embarrassing moment, "but don't tell anyone, it'll ruin my reputation."

"Don't worry, I won't." Kevin said with a small grin. "Let's head back to the camp sight." He added before getting up, then extending his arm and holding his hand out to help the other up.

Yoku gratefully took Kevin's hand and allowed him to help lift her back onto her feet. "Sounds good," she said, before noticing two more Pokeballs in his arsenal. "You caught two Pokemon while I was gone?" she said, more an observation than a question, "I have some catching up to do!" Her hand lightly grazed Dansei's Pokeball on her belt, "Tamogo and Dansei are great, but I'll need more Pokemon to be a top Breeder and make my brother proud."

Kevin nodded in understanding. He then looked over at the Machop and grinned a bit. "Well, let's head back." He said, walking over to the tree he slept by earlier to get his guitar case and his backpack. He really wanted Machop to join them, but only time would tell if Machop wanted to join them or not. It was dark by now, only the early hours of the night so the teen was still able to see fairly well.

Yoku walked ove to the sturdy oak she had sat under before, and deemed it a good time to let Dansei out again, she would be well rested by now. Unclicking the Pokeball from her belt, she let out her fiery companion. Dansei looked from Yoku back to Tamogo and sulked as she took her spot in her trainer's lap.

"So," Yoku started, "how was your training? I noticed you caught some Pokemon."

"The training went well." he responded before glancing at Machop, he wasn't sure if he caught the Pokemon's full trust yet, but he knew he had the fighting type's trust to an extent. He yawned lightly then headed to an oak next to the one Yoku was sitting under, opening his backpack and pulling out two sleeping bags. He, conveniently, had three in total, which he was sure his dad snuck them in there when he put the supplies in his bag in the first place. "Want one?" he asked, raising a peirced eyebrow as he looked at the breeder in question.

Yoku chuckled, and extended her hand toward the offered sleeping bag. "I hadn't expected to sleep out in the wilderness, I guess I was ill prepared," Dansei rolled her eyes, but pictured the warm, easy environment of their usual stay in a Pokemon Center, much more keen for that than the cold, damp, leafy ground they found themselves on. The flames on her head and back suddenly flared out, so she could warm her trainer and companion Pokemon. "I'd gladly borrow one if it's not too much trouble," Yoku answered after the bright flare of the fire, relaxing slightly as its glow chased away the crippling cold that descended upon the forest.

Kevin hummed in response, climbing into his sleeping bag. It reminded him of how him and his dad would camp in their backyard. The thought made him smile as he slowly drifted off to sleep, snoring lightly...

(If you want you could say it's morning and we could have them stop by the pokemon center, get supplies, have Kevin catch the Machop then head to Pewter or whatever. Your choice. ^^)

(Sounds good, and sorry for such a late reply. I'll try and post at least once a day, save for Saturday of next weekend because of Marching DIII and hopefully getting a copy of X. It'll occupy my entire day XD)

The brightening dawn light filtered through Yoku's shut eyelids and woke her. Sleepily blinking her exhaustion away, she slowly sat up and placed her hand on the knotty bed head she always gains after such a heavy sleep. It was particularly bad from sleeping in the spare sleeping bag. Yawning, she glanced over toward Kevin's sleeping bag, unsure if he was inside it or not.

"You awake?" she asked, erupting into another huge yawn. Both Dansei and Tamogo were still sound asleep, and Dansei was shooting out small puffs of smoke with every snore. Giggling at it, Yoku shook both Pokemon awake and awaited Kevin's response.

(Ok, I'll try and be in once a say as well. But it's not really certain. And I don't mind the late reply. :3)

Kevin shifted, then sat up and looked at Yoku groggily with a nod, still half asleep. Charmel came out of his pokeball in a dull flash of white light, standing in between the two trainers and yawning.

"So," Yoku started to say after several moments of rubbing her tired eyes awake, "what should we do now? This forest is like a maze, I walked through it all day and never found the exit," she chuckled apprehensively before suddenly focusing on the Machop, who had seemed to settle near Kevin and slept by him for the night.

The fighting type lifted his head, and followed the trainer's words, glancing deeper into the forest, toward where the exit truly was. Being a native, he knew his was through the forest, unlike Yoku and her Jhoto originating companions. "Chop," he said, offering to lead the two trainers out of the forest.

Charmel looked at Machop, then followed his line of sight. The fire type then looked at the two trainers, waiting for their reactions.

Kevin looked at the two, then at Yoku. "I think he can get  us  of the forest." He said with a yawn.

"That would be..." Yoku paused and tilted her head, trying to think of the right word, "amazing," she settled on, grinning at the Machop. "Y'no, I've never been a huge Fighting type fan, but any Pokemon that can get us out of here is sure a friend of mine!" Dansei rolled her eyes at this remark, but got to her feet. Yoku stood as well, putting her now rolled up sleeping bag in her backpack. Once it was stowed away, she grabbed Tamogo and held him loosely in her arms.

"You ready?" she asked with a glance toward Kevin. The Machop looked to him as well, a blaze of sudden loyalty in his eyes. He would lead the way as soon as Kevin was up and ready.

Kevin got out of his sleeping bag, rolled it up then put it away. He nodded, signaling that he was ready to go. Charmel noticed the look of loyalty in Machop's eyes and knew that they had a new companion. The thought of a new friend made him giddy with excitement.

"Machop!" the Machop said excitedly, and began to happily bound down the forest path, taking the lead so the other trainers and Pokemon could follow.

Yoku followed contently, and glanced around to all the different trees and Pokemon they passed by as they walked. In her lost daze the day before, she had never actually looked at the forest or saw its beauty as it is now. The vivid green of the pines, and the sturdy bark of their towering neighbors were enough to make Yoku rethink the forest not as an inconvenient maze, but a place of wild beauty.

Suddenly, though, one thing interrupted the natural grace of the wilderness. A brick building suddenly came into view, and Yoku couldn't help but crack a grin toward it. "The exit!" she cried enthusiastically, overtaking the Machop in a run toward it, "I can't believe how much I've missed warm buildings."

The Machop turned away as Yoku ran passed him, and looked to Kevin. He took a step toward the trainer and simply nodded. He was ready to join him as a companion and loyal Pokemon.

Kevin smiled as he pulled an empty pokeball from his belt and gently tossed it onto Machop's forehead. Charmel at this and snickered quietly to himself.
