Zach and The Z-Force

(It ought to fail if the foe is not readying an attack...)

Drilbur just managed a sly grin before diving in the ground, avoiding the attack. It burrowed in the ground and exploded out, leaping high in the air and released a Mud-Slap.

Kex was hit hard from Mudslap.

Zach: Ember!

Kex coughed up an Ember attack on Drillbur.

Drilbur absorbed up the attack, then Dug down back. It exploded some way off and lashed out with it's Dig attack at the fire type.

Kex was hit even harder from the Dig.

Zach: Smog!

Kex then blew a strong gust of Smog at the Drillbur.

Drilbur endured the Smog with a good-natured grin on it's face, but didn't get poisoned. It quickly raked out it's claws for a Metal Claw.

Kex got hit with Metal Claw. He endured this attack, but was still not looking good.

Zach: Sucker Punch!

Kex tried his luck again, and used Sucker Punch on Drillbur.

Drilbur burrowed back down, getting tired now. It decided to end it quickly and attacked with Dig at the Houndour.

Kex didn't see it, and he got hit. Once the impact collided with Kex, he fainted. Zach sighed, and recalled his Houndour. Then he sent out Bien the Starly.

Zach: Use Quick Attack!

Bien used Quick Attack on Drillbur

The attack itself didn't hurt much but Drilbur eyed it's foe warily. This could be hard. It slashed out with Metal Claw.

Bien was able to fly out of the way of Metal Claw.

Zach: Wing Attack!

Bien threw a wing at Drillbur in Attack Formation.

Drilbur was struck but shook it off, clashing it's claws aggressively. It lashed out with another Metal Claw at close range.

Bien wasn't looking good from this attack after he got hit.

Zach: Wing Attack!

At closer range, Bien swept his sharp wing at Drillbur.

Drilbur dodged with Dig, and burst out high in the air, behind Starly. It lashed out with a Metal Claw.

Bien suddenly got hit, and he was fainted too. Zach recalled him.

Zach: Give it a try, Neo!

Zach sent out Neo, and the Shinx used Tackle on Drillbur.

Drilbur bore the attack with a grin as it Dug in, then continued it's attack and tried to connect it's powerful Dig to the Shinx.

Neo surprisingly jumped out of the way of Dig, and caught Zach by surprise.

Zach: Uh...use Thunder!

Although Drillbur is a ground type, Neo still used Thunder on it.

Drilbur absorbed it up, barely feeling it. It lashed out with a Scratch.

Neo was hit by Scratch, and was defeated, fainted. Zach gritted his teeth, and recalled Neo. At this point, he knew he had already lost.

Zach: One more...go Snorunt!

He sent out his Nervous Snorunt out to fight.

Zach: Use...eh...bite!

Snorunt looked confused at first, then flew at Drillbur in attempt to use bite.

Drilbur seemed troubled by the presence of the Snorunt. It wasn't exactly strong against Ice types. The Bite landed but didn't do much damage. Drilbur shook it off and used Metal Claw, raking it's glowing claws through the air at Snorunt.

And with The hard impact of Metal Claw, Snorunt was not entirely fainted, but close to.

Zach: Uh...Powder Snow!...wait, what does that do again?

And Snorunt suddenly used Powder snow.

Drilbur was struck and staggered. It brushed itself with it's claws once and stared down the Snorunt aggressively. It fell to it's knees as weakness kicked in. It lashed out with a Metal Claw.

Metal claw hit Snorunt. Hard.

Zach:...I Just...

Snorunt then keeled over, fainted.

Zach: Lost...

The trainer withdrew his Drilbur and moved forward, sticking his hand out. "Good battle." He grinned good-naturedly.

Zach, being the good sport he is, grinned and shook the Trainers hand.

Zach: Good battle...but can I ask, what is your name?

"Huh? Oh, I'm Eric." He answered.
