The Journey Begins

Rue looked around for ssomething else tostop the water from flooding in the house. He then spotted an old table, rue smiled "this will make a good barrier" he said and tryed to move it, however due to his frail nature he really couldnt move the table much by him self. Thunder-lily tryed to help her trainer as wel by pushing the table on the opposite side.

The pokemon watched as Rue attempted to move the table. Pondering if he was in need of assistance, one of them waltzed over calmly, pointing towards the table without vocalization as its means of asking.

Rue looked down at the pokemon blinking a few times before he realized what the pokemon was asking "yeah please hel" rue said with a embarrassed smile and went back to pushing.
Thunder-lily pushed with all her might and she was abit strong for a pichu.

The pokemon, upon hearing Rue's request, turned and looked to a few of the other pokemon in the group. Without making even a sound, a few of the older ones withdrew from the small gathering and waltzed over themselves, all of the pokemon aiding Rue and his pokemon in sliding the table over the floor. The table eventually reached its destination; however, there wsa one thing wrong. The table, while covering the entrance fairly well, still left a bit of room at the bottom for the water to flood in; it would need to be sealed in some fashion.

Rue sighed in relief "thanks guys" he said with a smile then looked down where the water was flooding in, rue thought for a mmoment before snapping his fingers and dug threw his backpack. Rue smiled when he found what he was looking for and took out an old looking t-shirt "I think this will do" he said with a smile and began to carefully tuck the shirt where the water was still coming from.

Rue's inventive solution seemed to work at the start; however, as water built up, the shirt would slide from where it was tucked. With enough pressure the water would really be able to push through many things that could be set up against the crack. The pokemon, looking from Rue to each other, attempted to devise a solution of their own. One, thinking of something, pulled at Rue's leg; it was a poochyena, and it seemed to have a good idea if it was pulling so forcefully.

Rue looked down at the pokemon "ok lead the way" he said with a smile after he realized that the pokemon whanted to take him somewhere and got up ready to follow the pokemon. Thunder-lily climbed up her trainer and sat on his shoulder she wanted to go in case they needed an extra paw.

While the poochyena led the trainer and his pokemon away, the other pokemon observed as water slowly, but surely, entered into the building. The poochyena, wondering if the solution was going to actually work, had led Rue through a couple of different rooms to another room of supplies. There were a few pieces of wood, one of which was seemingly the size of the doorway; there was also a plastic curtain with some hooks, a pole, and two things to insert into a wall to hang it up with.

Rue looked over at each item thinking about how he could use them. Thunder-lily jumped down and sat next to rues foot and looked over at the items then up at her trainer. Rue took anther look at the items before snapping his fingers, he grabbed the hooks, pole and curtain, rue ran back and set those things down before running back to get the bord of wood. Thunder-lily ran over to help her trainer with the wooden bord.

(I think I know what to do XD)

The poochyena watched as Rue seemed to catch on; however, it would be a small matter of time before he could confirm that Rue had the right idea. The pokemon watched as first the curtains and other materials were taken before the wood and other tools necessary to put everything up. The pokemon rushed from the room and back into the crowd of pokemon, all now watching Rue, wondering what his plan was.

Once rue was sure he got everything he needed he first removed the table (with thunder-lilys help) then he got the holders first and put them on each side of the door. Rue then put together the hooks, pole and curtains after he was finished with that he set the curtains down and first put up the bord and held it there with his foot and reached over for the curtains. Once he reached them he put it on the hangers and drew the curtains so it covers the wooden bord. Rue took a step back to look over his handy work then turned to the poochyena "is this right?" He asked with a smile.

The poochyena, hidden amongst the small crowd of pokemon, watched as the board fell from where it stood because it was, simply, a piece of wood. The pokemon barked and then whined momentarily, signifying that Rue was almost where it was thinking. The board needed to be nailed to the wall to keep it standing upright.

Rue sweat dropped and went over holding the bord in place. Thunder-lily handed rue a hammer and a nail and watched as rue held the bord with his elbow while he hammered the nail in place, thunder-lily handded rue another nail and watched as he hammered that one in place this pattern continued till rue finally managed to nail the bord down he steped back and looked his work over.
(I almost had it XD)

The poochyena, walking over to the board, made inspection of it. Everything was almost in place; there was just one thing left. The pokemon turned around, barking up at Rue to get his attention. While the wood would keep the water out, now he had to find some means of making sure the wood wouldn't become so damp it would rot; something to nail or staple over it as a protective cover would work, or perhaps some sort of spray? There had to be something in the building the professor secretly owned.

Rue insepcted the bord as well when the poochyena bark to get his attention after abit of looking he realised why the pokemon had called him over "oh boy lets see" he said as he looked around for something to keep the bord protected. Thunder-lily ran up to the bord and tilted her head.

(Omg and lie half of the nails are bent XD)

(Then over time the board rots and the nails rust... A terrible sight! ;P)

The poochyena, staring at Thunder-lily when she walked up to the board, afterward directed his attention to Rue looking around. There were so many different things in teh building; reports, technology... The facility looked like some place to research, but at the same time, some place to live, given it was pokemon friendly. Amongst everything would be a sort of plastic painted blue. Perhaps Rue could use that?

Rue smiled and grabbed the blue plastic and then looked around for some extra nails or a staple gun. After a few minutes of searching he found a few more nails, he gave the nails to thunder-lily so he could place the blue plastic on properly. After he was sure that he had placed it correctly he grabbed the hammer and thunder-lily handed him a nail and he began to work.

(Eh that dos sound like a terrible sight :))

The group of pokemon continuously observed as Rue worked on making it so the rain couldn't get into the building. At the end of his work, a horn beeped from outside of the walls; however, it would be a bit difficult to hear because of how forcefully it was raining. The poochyena, having sensitive ears, definitely heard it though; as such, he barked for Rue's attention, pointing its paw towards the door while a figure approached the doorway. It was Oak, and he had an umbrella over his head. "Can I come in," he asked knowing the answer already. Upon entering the building, he took a look around. "Well... It looks like this place had a twister through it in some places, while in others it's fine..." Taking notice of the pokemon, he smiled lightly, the older pokemon knowing who he was. "And it seems some pokemon have made the place their home."

Rue smiled after he finished and looked up at the professor "yeah I was just helping them with the finishing touchs too" rue said as he looked down picking up the tools and putting them away "oh is this what you were asking for?" Rue asked as he carefully picked up the object he had been sent to pick up in the first place. Thunder-lily jumped on to her trainers shoulder.

Oak looked at the box, lightly nodding to the trainer. "I'm grateful that you found it," he told him. "All we have to do is get it back to the lab; that might be a bit difficult at the current time though because of the rain." The group of pokemon had dispersed by this point, headed back to wherever they had been before Rue's arrival; knowing the building belonged to Oak, they were sure they could stay. "Do you think it'd be possible for us to make it back to the vehicle in the rain?"

Rue waved at the pokemon then turned back to the professor "it is pouring down hard I think we can wait my jackets water proof" he said as he took off his jacket and wrapped it around the box "I have another in my backpack anyways". Thunder-lily waved good bye to the pokemon and jumped down running twords her trainers backpack.

Oak waited for Rue to be prepared before he stepped out into the rain. He proceeded towards the vehicle in front of Rue, and after being just a few feet ahead, he was hidden by the downpour of rain.

Rue put on his jacket and zipped it up, he then grabbed his backpack and the box that was wrapped in his jacket. Once he was sure he ad everything he put thunder-lily in a pocket in his jacket and quickly made his way twords the professor.

Oak was waiting patiently for Rue in the vehicle by the time the trainer got to it. The professor let him into the passenger seat of the vehicle, laughing lightly given that htey had both been stormed by water. "It's definitely going to be humid tomorrow," he told Rue as he turned the vehicle on, lights blazing to life before the professor backed the vehicle up and began driving it towards the Pokemon Lab.

Rue smiled "yeah my mom is going to be happy about it to" rue said as he watched the road go by. Thunder-lily poked her head out of the pocket "pichu!" She cheered she was happy that they were out of the rain.
