Short visit to Santalune!

Megan's mom smiled at Edward and said; "I'm Anna, nice to meet you Edward." with a small grin.

"Why don't I drive you guys to Lumiose city to meet the prof.? Or do you want to challenge the gym first?" she continued.

Megan shrugged, saying that she didn't care which one came first, before looking over at Ed to see which he'd pick to do first.

"Well if it's no hassle, I was hoping to Challenge the Gym here if that's alright with you." Edward said.

"Alright! Ooh! I'll watch! I hear that the gym leader here specializes in bug types." Anna informed thoughtfully.

"Then I'll challenge the gym here too, but we should heal our team first." the youngest of the three suggested.

"Okay. I think it's a good thing to do, I mean, my Tailow is pretty beat up from the fights with Chopper and Tailow." said Edward. "So where is the Pokémon Center?"

"Right this way!" Megan grinned as she walked toward the red roofed building, Ninja and Phoenix following behind her.

Edward smiled as they followed Megan to the Pokémon Center. As they entered, Edward looked around and said "Well...this is quite different from the Johto Pokémon Center. Then again I haven't been there often."

"Do the nurse Joys look different there too? Mom said that when she visited Johto recently the nurse Joys had different hair styles." Megan said thoughtfully as she returned Ninja and Pheonix before walking up to the smiling nirse and gave her the two Pokeballs that were in use.

As Edward gave Chopper and Robin's Pokeballs to Nurse Joy, he looked at her closely. After getting them back, freshly healed, he replied to Megan "Yeah, and I think the ones here are a little younger too."

"Huh. Interesting." Megan hummed as she walked out of the Pokemon Center, where her mom was waiting for the two, Pokeball in hand.

"I wanted to wait until we got to the lab, but I wanted to give you this Pokemon now. But I'll warn you now, this little guy is rather uncooperative and rather....dark, but I'm sure you can handle him." Anna smiled as she handed Megan the pokeball.

Megan, being curious, released her new Pokemon. It was a Cyndaquil that didn't seem too happy to see Megan, or any of them at that matter.

"Oh, a Cyndaquil!" Edward said at the sight of the Fire Mouse Pokémon. "That's one of the Starters you could get from Professor Elm back in Johto!"

"Yup. I got a chance to talk to Professor Elm recently, apperently Cyndaquil's old trainer couldn't handle him so they gave the little guy back. When I suggested that you might be able to change Cyndaquil for the better he said that it'd be a good idea to try out. Besides, I know you'll be able to do your best and be patient with him." Anna explained, directing the last part to her daughter.

Cyndaquil huffed angrily before charging at Anna with a Tackle. Ninja, who was being held by Megan at the time, was quick to act. The frog Pokemon quickly hopped out of Megan's arms and got in between Anna and the fire type, slapping his faintly glowing arm down on the Fire mouse Pokemon's head in a quick and weak Pound, and causing Cyndaquil to slam into the pavement before Megan quickly returned him before anymore damage could be done.

Megan frowned, luckily no one was seriously hurt. Cyndaquil just needed to sleep the sudden Pound attack off and he'd be alright. Although he was going to be quit the challenge.....

Edward stood back as the Cyndaquil went berserk. When it was all over, he went over to Megan, looked at her and said "Are you okay? No one hurt?" with concern.

"I'm fine, no one was hurt. Let's head over to the gym, hm?" Megan said as she looked at Ed with a small smile.

"Oh, I might battle you two when we get to the lab as well!" Anna cooed and practically gushed and squealed happily. 

Her and the Professor had planned on testing Megan's bonds with her Pokemon once at the lab, but now with Edward joining her daughter on her journey Anna was very excited to see how both teens did in their "test".

Ed smiled back "Sure" and then nodded to Anna saying "Oh, okay."

As they went into the Gym, Edward said to Megan "You know, I think I know why that Cyndaquil was so angry. Maybe it's cause he was abandoned once and doesn't trust humans anymore, thinking you'll do the same.

Megan thought about it for a moment before replying with, "I won't be like the other trainer, that and I'll try my darn best to get Cyndaquil to trust humans! No matter how long it takes!" her green eyes filled with pure determination as they had entered the gym.

Edward nodded. "Good. I'm glad to hear you say that. Cause I know you can do it." he said with a smile.

Megan smiled at Edward's statement before asking: "Wanna take the gym leader on first or second?"

"Well first, duh! Haha. It's what we came here for, right?" he said with a laugh.

Megan grinned and laughed herself. "True." she said, her grin still present as shr spoke to Ed.

A Vivillion fluttered out from somewhere inside the gym, and behind it came Viola, crying out in distress to stop. "Oh! Visitors! We have visitors, Vivillion, behave." The butterfly like pokemon fluttered over apologetically as both of them bowed to greet the people. "Hello. I am Viola, the gym leader of Santalune town. How may I help you?"

"Hi." said Edward. "We would both like to do Gym battles here...wait, can we do them at the same time, like a double battle?"
