"come on eve," she yelled running for the gym. This was it, her chance to win the first badge. She stopped to look at the pokeball her friend gave her. "you sure it'll work eve?" she asked. "I heard this gym has a vivillon, which may know an air type move." Eve jumped in her pokeball when the gym leader appeared, not wanting for her to see.

The outside of the gym was surrounded by trees, the arch-glass windows allowing one to only see the entry hallway inside. Beyond that, which Serena had passed, was a spider web where three challenging trainers awaited, and Viola on a wooden platform, observing up above. Behind her, visible, was a grassy arena, forest surrounding it on all sides but one. Serena was going to have to battle the other trainers first if she had any hope for her badge victory...

"alright..." she said trailing off seeing the 3 trainers she has to beat. "come on out!" she yelled, throwing eve's pokeball. "I, Serena, am here to challenge Viola and anyone else who gets in my way!" she ran to the first trainer and eve jumped into the field.

The first response was from a brunette boy in an azure blue hoodie, one who couldn't be any older than eleven. The spider web was sticky underfoot, making it hard to run on, and it would've hindered Eve's speed with her paws. "Sure, me and Ledyba'll take you!" He grinned, releasing the level ten, male bug from his Poke Ball. He hovered above the web with open wings, giving the opponent an advantage! "And I'll make the first move, too. Ledyba, use supersonic on that Eevee!"

Serena watched as the supersonic hit eevee, which she knew she couldn't dodge. "Eve!" she yelled, "snap out of it!" She couldn't do anything, anything except watch and hope it'll be alright. "but I can do this.." she thought, "Eve! focus on the enemy, don't let anything else distract you!" "now try using bite on ledyba!"

Unfortunately for Serena, Eve was too puzzled to understand what it was she was asking. The pup ended up chasing its tail before biting down, letting out a cry of pain in the next second. "Guess we're gonna win! Ledyba, go and use comet punch on that Eevee!" The boy grinned, his bug flying forward, intending to strike five times!

"alright!" she yelled, "If you defeat me, it just gets harder." "eve!" she yelled, "FOCUS" she timed it right when eve bit her tail again when eve had enough focus, "now use covet!"

That trick helped to snap Eve out of her confusion, and though the web impeded her speed, the closeness between Ledyba and the normal-type stopped the bug from simply evading. There was nothing to steal, but the stealthy attack did some damage, and the boy grimaced, "Fight back with tackle!"

"I'm not going easily!" she yelled. "Eve, use quick attack and aim at his center" she ordered. No one is stopping her today, even without the surprise she has. She watched as the eevee attacked ledyba.

Eve was faster than the Ledyba, which was charging right away. Both attacks collided, but Ledyba came away with the most damage, unsurprisingly. "Use supersonic again!" The boy called, and sure enough, the bug began sending out more confusing sound waves, once again trying to puzzle the pup into an easier win.

"ok eve!" she ordered, "dodge it with a jump!" "now use your claws to cut a hole in the webbing!" she watched as eve jumped and then cut the webs off the ground. "NOW, USE TACKLE"

Serina's orders failed, all except for the slicing of the web. Only, it was a stupid thing to have done. If she had looked down, she would have seen that there was only darkness below them. "Wait, what the hell are you doing?!" The boy cried as he, Serina and Eevee tumbled into a pit a fair distance below, the wooden platforms of the gym now high above them. Ledyba was still hovering high above them, thrown by this development, "What would you do that for?! Are you crazy?!" He couldn't even see the girl now, his whole body aching and in pain from the drop. He just hoped he hadn't strained or sprained anything.

Serena took a hold of the web as she fell, catching eve. "I can defeat you now!" she yelled, pulling herself up. 'Eve, use sand attack!" Eve shot sand at ledyba, and jumped to the side.

"Are you stupid?! The battle's cancelled, because you broke the gym!" The boy shot back angrily, glaring, if Serena could even see. There was no way of pulling herself up at that height, and the Ledyba just stared as a dust cloud went up, but didn't get anywhere near hitting her. "Stupid idiot..."
"Hold on, we'll get you some help!" One of the referees called down. Ledyba looked inclined to help, but his trainer stopped him.
"Don't come down, Ledyba! This stupid girl will try attacking you, just wait up there!"
"Ledy~~?"

"EVE!," she ordered, "take the advantage and cling onto ledyba's arms" Eve did just that, and then couldn't get back. "I didn't think that through..." Serina said.

"You're a moron! Stop fucking battling!" The boy practically screamed in her face in frustration. If he could see her properly, he probably would've punched her in the face. Alas, he couldn't, thankfully for Serena. Ledyba screeched, and in a bid to get the Pokemon loose, crashed her against the wall of the hole. That was when a cloud of smoke blew over above, and the trainer frowned.

"What the heck is that...?"
When he could see again, he saw pale figures in sunglasses (who wears those indoors?) and predominantly red outfits, their hair styles outlandish.
"No, it couldn't be... I thought they were taken down?"
It was Team Flare, what was left of it... Or perhaps the second generation.
"Well, you thought wrong, didn't you?" The grunt chuckled sadistically, sneering into the pit.
"I knew there was a reason why that broke! There was no way Eevee could manage alone!"

Serena saw it and said, "your not taking eve1" She hurled herself down and grabbed eevee who was sitting at the bottom. She grabbed eve, returned her, and started throwing rocks at team flare.

The boy was surprised at Serena's sudden assault. He hadn't even realised there were rocks in the pit, but he supposed there'd be all sorts of rubble or dropped gems given the amount of battles held above. "You-- you little bitch!" One of the grunts reeled back in fury as her face was struck. That was going to leave a mark. "I'm gonna kill you!"
"Ledyba!" The grunt was too distracted to notice him, but the lady bug came flying down all the same. He reached out to shake Serena, "Keep distracting them. I'll get Ledyba to lift me out and come down for you. We need to take them on, no matter how many there is. Okay?"

Serena nodded, and threw out porygon. "use hyper beam!" She threw rocks also, while porygon used hyper beam. 'stop me now, you Jerks!" She threw out fletchling, "fletchling use quick attack!"

The grunts reeled back as a hyper beam crashed through the wooden platform they were on, striking at the brush around the battlefield. "You gotta be more careful!" He warned, watching Fletchling go to assault the duo as well. Ledyba came down to take the boy up and to safety, where he could confuse the grunts with supersonic. "Now's your chance! Get your Pokemon to help you up!"

"I can't!" she yelled, still throwing rocks. "porygon, use hyper beam again!" she ordered. She saw fletchling come at her with a quick attack, "FLETCHLING!" she yelled, knowing what happened. they convinced him he's on their side she thought, but not if I do this. "come on out, Eve!" she yelled. "fletching, remember me and eve?" she said to fletchling trying not to cry. "you have helped us with this battle, now come back."

By this time, the grunts had released two Pokemon of their own: a Zubat and Croagunk, both at level ten. The latter couldn't fly, of course, but he could hang onto the fencing and bushes around the battlefield, attacking from there and causing more damage. "Zubat, use supersonic!" One of the grunts commanded, hoping to deafen and dizzy Serina and Eve from above, easily dodging the hyper beam. Porygon would have to recharge, too. Ledyba was engaging the Croagunk, but had a clear type disadvantage.

"no you don't!" she yelled, "eve, go that way," she pointed away. "now porygon, keep calm!" She knew it would hit her, she didn't care. She jumped up, grabbed eve and ran.

(Uh, while I am willing to take this, I don't get what's going on anymore ._.' So Serina was battling in a Gym, she cut the web, continued to battle while being yelled at to stop, suddenly a random group called Team Flare entered and now they're battling. Correct me if I'm wrong. So now Serina is battling a Zubat? Anything else I missed?)

((That was essentially it. The web was pretty much the floor of that gym, hence why she was told to stop, and Team Flare is the bad guy group of Kalos. The reason I stopped modding here was because I was losing track of what was happening myself - she didn't read all my posts properly, godmodded a little bit with the scenarios (I didn't get why Fletchling 'turned against her' when they did nothing to it? etc), but do with the scene what you will.))
