Mercury vs Cyrus Blaze

Mercury entered the battle arena, and awaited her opponent. She stood on her side of the arena, with the ring being 20 meters in diameter, being made of dirt with a few small rocks lying around. Her pokeballs were in her bag, ready for use as she waited for the opponent to show.

Cyrus walked into the arena. Being his first time battling in an arena he was excited to see what pokemon his opponent had.Cyrus greeted his opponent and waited for her to send out her pokemon.

Mercury greeted the opponent, and threw her pokeball, revealing Lilipup. This was Lilipup's first battle with Mercury, so Mercury was excited to see what Lilipup can do when dealing with a trainer. Mercury waited to see what pokemon her opponent would bring out

(What level is lillipup?)

Cyrus said" Well since its your lillipups first battle I will use my newest pokemon too, Go gligar!". Gligar came out of the pokeball and prepared for battle. Cyrus said " Your move".

The opponent brought out his Gligar, Mercury hasn't encountered one before, so she would have a harder time fighting it. She also hasn't fought with Lilipup before, putting her in a difficult position. Use Tackle! Mercury says to Lilipup. Lilipup then charged at Gligar and attempted to tackle it

Cyrus said " Fly up gligar and then use poison sting". The gligar flew up with tremendous and balance and then sent a poisoned dart from its mouth in Lillipups direction.

The Gligar flew up and dodged the attack, and counter attacked soon after with poison sting. Dodge it Lilipup! Mercury said, so Lilipup jumped further using the momentum of the tackle, escaping the attack but almost getting hit. Mercury decided Lilipup wouldn't do good against the flying type, so she called Lilipup back. Return. She said, and the pokeball's red beam sucked Lilipup up. Let's go, Spheal. Mercury said, releasing Spheal from her pokeball.

Cyrus knew that the ground/ flying type would be a bad type matchup against the ice/water type so he said " Gligar return!" and gligar went back into its pokeball. Cyrus then took out a pokeball and said " Go Snover ". A small Snover appeared on the battlefield. Cyrus then said " Alright Snover let's start this with a Razor Leaf". Snover unleashed a barrage of sharp leaves at the enemy Spheal. Cyrus knew that if it hit it would do considerable damage since Spheal was an ice/water type.

(What level is Spheal? Is it level 9?)

The opponent brought out a Snover, which meant the odds were about the same, if not favoring the opponent a bit. Spheal, use defense curl! Said the girl. Spheal then curled up, raising its defense and lowering the attack's damage. Use Growl. Mercury said in retaliation, Spheal then gave a big, intimidating growl. Which would cause the Snover to be sent back and another pokemon to enter the field

( no it doesn't that's roar not growl. Growl lowers physical attack)

Snover flinched but it did not falter. Cyrus said " Alright that was good Snover but that won't affect you. Alright now use Magical Leaf". Suddenly a few sharp leaves starting levitating with a purple aura surrounding them. Then they soared in Spheals direction stalking it until it hit it or was blocked. Did it hit?

(OH MY GOD lol. Been a while, oh well)
The pokemon used Magical Leaf, leaves started floating in the air, surrounded by a purple aura, they shot at Spheal so Mercury acted quickly. Use Ice Ball to dodge and attack! Sheal then rolled into a sphear shape, and rolled out of the way, heading towards the Snover. The move was Spheal's newest move and would do good damage to the Snover which was a little less than half Spheal's level.

" Snover use Razor Leaf to stop it in its tracks ". Snover then unleashed a barrage of sharp leaves onto the incoming attacking enemy. Did it stop it?

Keep going, I know you can do it Spheal! Mercury motivated Spheal, it pushed hard against the attack and kept rolling towards the Snover. Spheal would have to use Hail soon as it took some damage from the grass type attacks

Cyrus said " Jump up Snover and use Magical Leaf" . Then Snover leaped up into the air and unleashed an assault of magically empowered sharpened leaves in Spheals direction.

Use Powder Snow on the leafs! Mercury said quickly as Spheal was still rolling. The attack would be a strange combo of a spinning Powder Snow, going at the Snover and its attack. The Ice attack would prove to be effective with stopping the leaf, or Grass attack. Spheal kept rolling, clearing a distance between them

Cyrus said " Ok that's not working so I guess it's time for our new combo attack, Ok Snover use Leer then Razor Leaf and if that does not work a magical leaf should finish it". Snover landed on the earth and then leered at the Spheal thereby lowering its defences. He then unleashed Razor Leaf onto the Spheal.

Use Hail then Defense Curl! Mercury said quickly. Spheal then acted and used Hail. Her ability also kicked in which caused her to start healing. She then curled up raising her defense again, and took the hit from the attack.

" Damn it ok Snover let's keep attacking because stalling is getting us nowhere"Cyrus said. Snover nodded then unleashed endless barrages of Razor Leaf and Magical Leaf upon the Spheal.

(Hail also damages your pokemon.)
Use Powder Snow. Mercury said. Spheal then took a deap breath and unleashed the Powder Snow attack against the Grass type attacks. The attacks collided and kept clashing, keeping the collision point at one point and not making any progress. Keep it up Spheal! Mercury said, motivating her pokemon. The hail still fell and kept healing Spheal.

( No it does not hail does not damage ice types)

Suddenly once the ice had ceased it was noticed that a few magically controlled leaves were getting extremely close to Spheal. Too close for spheal to use powder snow and block the attack. Cyrus smiled. He would finally get a hit on this pesky spheal.

[I have taken 4 hits so far now, and you have taken 0 and dodged all my attacks. And your pokemon is 6 levels lower than mine. Cool it down a bit]
Dodge Spheal! Mercury said. Spheal then stopped blowing Powder Snow and jumped to her right, but some of the Razor Leaf had hit her. She flinched a bit and got back up. Use Hail and Defense Curl again. Mercury said, so Spheal acted accordingly
