Pokemon Black (Dragonfire's story)

In the world of Pokemon Black, a strange figure sat upon it's thrown. "Pull up the boy." It comanded, on a large Tv screen a young boy appeared on the screen, "Ah yes, Riah a Great adventure awaits you." It chuckled, snapping its long fingers. Suddently the young boy on the screen passed out and disappeared from his world.

Now Raih, was seen sleeping in a large bed. A pokeball waiting for him downstairs with a note that said to start his journey. It also said to go to Professor Juniper.

Raih Welcome to the world of pokemon Black.

Sunlight filtered in through the window onto Riah's face as the strange sound persisted to annoy him until finally the boy couldn't take it anymore. He sat up and threw his pillow at the sound which turned out to be a clock shaped like a Zubat which was kind of funny since the creature was purely nocturnal. Then the strangest thing happened, the Zubat moved and flew around the room using Screech and annoying Riah even more. The boy clapped his hands over his ears and dashed out of the room. Already this day was terribly strange and he needed to know where he was. "Mom, why am I being bugged by a bat?"

When Riah made it down the stairs he looked around and saw that there was no one around him but there was a pokeball on the table with a note taped under it. Slowly the boy walked over and glared at the table which must have been put up as a prank by his family. But no this was too realistic to be a prank. Riah picked the pokeball up and it opened, releasing a...Pikachu? Now this was beyond strange and he had no idea what to take of it. Riah grabbed the note and read it. It said that he needed to go on a journey and to see...Professor Juniper? Okay now Riah had to be dreaming.

The pikachu looked up at her new trainer. 'So this is the human, that They sent eh? He looks a bit scrawny but he seems smart enough.' The pikachu raised her paw, "Pika." she said in greating. 'Well then Riah, let's see if you can make it.' she smirked quickly to herself.

Riah gasped as the Pikachu greeted him and then smirked, or as close to a smirk as a pokemon got. He looked at the note and then at the pokeball and then at the Pikachu before smiling. "I guess I'm supposed to go to see Professor Juniper. Is this real, Pikachu?" Riah realized he wasn't so sure he would call the pokemon by its species name and so he thought. "Can I call you Lyte?" Riah sat down carefully on the edge of the table and looked at the pokemon with curiosity.

The newly name Lyte crossed her stubby paws and nodded in comfirmsion. "Pika chu. (That name shall do.)" She looked at Riah giving him a serious look saying 'Yes this is real'. Lyte walked to the door before looking back at Riah, "Pika. (let's go)" she said smirking.

The newly appointed trainer, by some weird circumstances, shrugged and walked to the door behind Lyte. This was certainly one strange day but he was pretty sure that Lyte was correct in saying that this was real, or that was what he thought she had said. For some reason Lyte seemed like a female to him and not a male so Riah decided he would travel with his new pokemon and friend. When outside he looked around and saw the lab. Riah had been told to go to the lab but for some reason he couldn't figure out why. Still this was the life of what could only be Pokémon Black so that meant that if it were like the game then he would meet Cheren and Bianca at the lab. Riah walked into the lab and looked around confused until he saw Professor Juniper. "Professor Juniper, I was told to see you. My name is Riah."

Juniper looked up and smiled at Riah, "Ah, there you are, Cheren and Bianca have ben waiting for you. And i see you got the pokemon i had for you, take good a care of her." Juniper said happily, and gestered for him to stand beside Cheren and Bianca. "It's about time you arived Riah, you were to deep in sleep we couldn't wake you. So we came to the lab and waited for you to get here." Cheren said pushing up his glasses. Bianca smiled wildly at Riah, and squealed when she saw Lyte, "Oh she's sooooooo cute! My Osawatt is cute too. but weren't you supposed to get a Snivy?" Bianca looked at Professor Juniper, "True most trainers start out with ether Snivy, Osawatt or Tepig, but this pokemon is special and just for him." Juniper said. Bianca gave a nod before turning to face Riah, "Our journey is about to begin, I'm soooo excited!" Cheren sighed, "Calm down Bianca." Lyte shook her head at the antics.

Riah looked at Bianca and Cheren before turning his attention back to Professor Juniper. He was already feeling a bit used to this particular part of the situation, especially since he had beat the game once and was now working on it a second time. But wait, he was in the game. That was the only thing that made sense since last he knew he had been just finishing this very part when he woke up this morning. Riah rubbed his head wearily and glanced back at Lyte wondering how much this little Pikachu knew about the issue he was having. "So do we get a pokedex, Professor, or do we go without them?" Riah knew he was using information that he shouldn't know but right now he was just going off of what he was used to.

Juniper smiled, "Doing your homework eh? Yes you all will get the pokedex after i give my speech." she said, Bianca groaned, "But Professor we know the speech already." Juniper sighed. She looked at the three, "Trust me, i get tired of saying too. But i have to. Now then..."

~Minutes later~


"Great I'm done, now her are your pokedexs." Juniper said walking to each trainer and giving the a pokedex. She stood back in her original spot and let out a laugh, "Now then off you three go." Lyte sighed in relef, glade the speech is over. "Pika...(Thank you Arceus)" Bianca quicly got up, shouting something about pokemon while Cheren calmlt walked out.

Riah smiled and took his pokedex before walking out into the air outside again. He knew that there was supposed to be a pokemon battle with Cheren and Bianca but quite frankly that didn't interest him, although he was pretty sure that Lyte could take out Oshawot with ease. "So, Lyte, are you ready to go on our journey? I'm sure we'll meet some really interesting people out there and make a bunch of new friends." Riah looked down at his newest friend and grinned before wondering how he was supposed to catch those other pokemon without pokeballs. Quickly he started digging into his pockets and then remembered that in the game you don't get those until later.

Riah stopped searching and then pulled his pack off of his back to check to see how much cash he had. In there was a bag of money that apparently the game mother had put in there for him. First thing he would do was go grab some more items from the mart. The trainer walked toward the first route leading out of Nuvema Town.

As he neared the end of the route, Bianca suddenly came running to his side, Cheren walked up at a much more moderate pace. "Hey Riah, Let's take our first step as pokemon trainers togather, Ok?" She said cheerfully, standing on Riah's right. "I see no issue with doing that Bianca." Cheren said standing on Riah's left. Lyte smirked and crossed her stubby arms. "Pika pi. (Sounds good.)" She said with a nod. Bianca giggled, "Your Pikachu is soo smart." she then payed attention to the task at hand.

Riah laughed and nodded before turning to the route and looking at Cheren and Bianca. At a non verbal cue, he walked forward onto the route with his two friends and took their first step together. "That was great! I hope that our journey is as awesome as that first step was." Riah had only known Bianca and Cheren for about a half hour but already he was enjoying their friendship.

Bianca smiled and jumped, " Yeah! Hahaha." Cheren gave a small smile. "Wait i forgot something." Juniper called running up to the trio. " Professor Juniper?" Cheren asked, She caught her breath before pulling pokeballs out her pocket. "Here, you can't start your journey without pokeballs." She gave the three each 5 pokeballs. "I'll see you all in the next town." Juniper called as she walked away. Bianca smiled, " Oh I Know lets see who can catch the most pokemon, Ready, Set, GO!" Bianca cried, running off. Cheren smirked and headed of as well. Lyte jumped forward, "Pika! (Let's Go!)" She cried, pointing of down the route.

The grass tickled against Riah's ankles as he walked through the route slowly, trying to make sure he ran into at least one pokemon to catch or help train Lyte. By the way he could see, Lyte was already ready for her adventure and he was sort of having fun as well. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all.

As he walked through the grass a pair of eyes stared at him, Lyte glanced in it's direction as it jumped out revealing a Patrat. " Rat ra ra! ( Hey fight me!) " She cried out, ready for a fight. Lyte snorted and jumped in front of Riah, ready to lay a beat down.

Patrat Lv.4 Female

Riah saw the eyes but just barely before out of the grass popped a patrat ready to fight and already calling out a challenge to Lyte. It was funny because at that moment it seemed like his friend was instantly energized and ready again. When Lyte called out and then hopped in front of him, Riah laughed and stepped behind the Pikachu, flipping open the pokedex to see what moves Lyte knew. Quickly he knew what move he was going to use, already getting ready to throw a pokeball. "Lyte use Iron Tail on the stone branch above Patrat!" The position of the pokemon under the tree meant that if it didn't move then that tree branch would damage it a lot.

Lyte jumped above the Patrat, her tail becoming incased in a metel coat as she spun and smashed her tail on the branch, breaking it easily as it fell on the patrat. "Raa! (Ow!)" she cried as the heavy branch crushed her.

Patrat 20/35 Hp

Riah frowned as he could tell that the branch hadn't done as much damage as he had wanted it to. Silently he cursed the stupid tree and then grabbed the pokeball before throwing it. He watched and waited for the Patrat to either be caught or to break free of the pokeball.

Just before the pokeball hit the patrat, Lyte had once again use iron tail but hit the pokemon on her head this time. Before she could cried out, the pokeball hit her and sucked her in. Lyte jumped back and watched as the pokeball shook, Once, Twice, Three times and the pokemon was caught! Lyte looked at Riah to see his reaction to atching his first pokemon.

Patrat Lv.4/ Jolly/ Female/ run away/ Moves known are: Tackle and Leer.

Riah smirked and then got down and picked up the caught Patrat. It was kind of satisfying actually catching a pokemon for the first time instead of relying upon the game to do it. Just as he was beginning to think he was the one who did this by himself, Riah remembered Lyte and shook his head to clear it. "Thank you Lyte. You did good and I caught this pokemon with your help. I'm glad you are my pokemon friend instead of someone else."

The world was strange and he still had no idea how he had gone into this place but to be honest, Riah was enjoying himself more and more. He smiled at Lyte and then at the newest member of their team before knowing what he had to do. Three pokemon friends...that is all he wanted to start out with. Maybe he would go for four but not the full six until he was more experienced. So the trainer walked forward again, this time wondering who his next pokemon encounter would bring to him.

He didn't have to wait long before a playful puppy-like pokemon jumped out the grass, wagging his tail. "Pup pup! (Hello there!)" he ran in circles before stopping while facing Riah. Lyte shook her head at the younger pokemon's playfulness. "Pika chu pi. (To be young.)" she sighed, smirking all the while.

Lillipup Lv.3 Male.

Riah laughed joyfully as the Lillipup jumped out and started running around playfully. When it barked he almost thought of a friendly kid talking to him. With a thought, the trainer knelt down next to the Lillipup and spoke softly to it while trying to make his voice sound friendly and caring, which wasn't so hard to do.

"Hey little guy, do you mind travelling with me and my friends here? Don't worry I'm new as well to this and would really enjoy being your friend as well without having to hurt you like most people would." Riah held out his hand carefully palm upward to show that he meant no harm to the Lillipup. As an after thought he spoke again. "By the way, my name is Riah and I like your playfulness."

Lillipup tilted his head and barked, he licked Riahs hand and jumped around, he then turned to Riah and nodded, "Pu pu pu Pup! (Hey hey hey Name!)" he cried out hyperly. Lyte sighed and crossed her arms but smiled. 'This kid just might become powerful one day, i'm sure Riah can train him well.' she thought siliently to herself.

Riah smiled and nodded while thinking about a name for this Lillipup. It seemed playful and happy as well as young and eager to go on an adventure just like Riah had been after getting used to the thought of being here. Slowly it dawned on him what would make a good name for this playful pokemon. Lucky! That sounded like a good name because while most people who played the game thought Lillipup was bad luck, Riah thought that both him and Lucky were really experiencing good luck at the moment. "Does the name Lucky suit you? I think it's a good name but if you don't like it then I can think of another one." Riah pulled out a pokeball and smiled at the Lillipup. "Also, do you want to travel in a pokeball or with me outside the pokeball. If you travel outside then you will get to know Lyte better."

Lucky closed his eyes before shooting up from his spot and jumping into Riah's arms, licking his face happily while expressing his gratitude. "Pu pup lilli! (I Love It!)" he cried happily, he then jumped out his arms and pounced on the older pokemon, licking her. "Pika pi pika!(Hey stop that!)" Lyte laughed as Lucky expressed his happiness. Lucky sat down and rolled on his belly. Lyte wipped the drool of her laughing, "Pika pi pika chu pikachu pi pup. (Well aren't you the happy little puppy.)" she smiled. She then mentioned to one of Riah's empty pokeballs.
