Pokemon Journey - Episode II: The Jubilife Contest and Team Building!

Jack was givig crackers to the Dratini and thought that all FireStar had to do is spin and cut through the wind.

Once again, FireStar jumps at Beautifly and lands on her back. Then she uses the fire scratch combo, where she uses scratch with fire from the fire punch absorbed in her nails. FireStar uses the FireStar on Beautifly's wings, making it glow bright like a flare.

Sadly her attempt failed as Beautifly glided out of the way softly, spinning blissfuly. But FireStar had made a scratch on her wings, which luckily caused Emily a small handful of points, due to the ugly mark that soon disappeared. Beautifly used Bug Buzz once again making beautiful music, before gliding at FireStar using one of the first moves she learned: Tackle.

Jack offerd a pokeball to Dratini who happily accepted it. The pokeball clicked and Jack turnned his attention to the batte. He though a fire scartch combo would be a could move now as a counter.

Lilly was getting worried as she glances at the screen. But she stayed calm as FireStar lands on the ground. Then FireStar counters with the leer and scratch combo. First, she uses leer, which gives a light. Then, the light absorbs into her fingers and she jumps at Beautifly. Then FireStar counters the tackle with scratch while leer was absorbed into her fingers.

Beautifly was hit directly, as she collided with FireStar. Beautifly fluttered in a circle on her back, descnding on to the ground. She levitated up and fluttered at FireStar with a Tackle again.

"Not exactly what I had in mind but its effective though" Jack said.

Once Again, FireStar jumps up and she lands on Beautifly's back. Then FireStar does the Fire Scratch combo again. The flames surrounds FireStar's hands before absorbing them into her fingers. Then she begins to scratch at the back of Beautifly's head.

Beautifly plummits into a spiral. She slams into the ground. Emily's face doesn't change the whole time. Beautifly still isn't fainted, but the timer goes.

"And the winner is... Lilly Bluespring!" said the MC, handing her a ribbon.

Jack clapped away aswell as Cubone.

Lilly smiles and giggles as FireStar runs to her trainer and she jumps into her arms. Lilly hugs FireStar and they went over to Emily and shakes her hand for a good battle performance. Later on the stand, Lilly had FireStar in her arms as she thanks the judges and she takes the ribbon. Then Lilly holds it up with a smile, for they have won their first contest ribbon.

"We won our first ribbon!" Lilly called out with happiness.

"Chimchar!" FireStar cheered.

Dragonair soared into the arena. Suddenly all of the lights went out. Dragonair made a noise towards the arena gates. She had an angry face. From it emerged the man from Professor Rowan's lab, followed by his followers still chanting.

"Whats happening?" Jack jumped towards the arena where Lilly was and drew his knife while Cubone readied his bone.

Lilly gasped as she stares at the same creature and his followers that was chasing her. How did they find her here? Lilly holds FireStar close to her in fear as she takes a few steps back.

"How did they find me?" Lilly asked in fear as she backs up over to Jack and the contest judges.

(Er...could you please tell me what is happening? I read the whole thing but the Dragonair and men remain unexplained...^^' )

(well, according to kitteh's plot. This man is after Lilly and he is infused with Giratina's dna that also has the pokerus. Making this man become mutated and twisted. the dragonair is like her guardian. so after Lilly and FireStar won their first contest ribbon. The creature and his followers somehow found them. this whole thing started in sandgem town when she was suppose to receive her first pokemon along with her pokedex and 5 pokeballs.)

(Why is he after her? Anyways...I'll try to continue it. Please don't kill me if I make a mistake ^^' )

The Dragonair swooped down as it stood poised, ready to lash out quickly. Gliding over to coil in front of Lilly, it's small feathery wings waving and fluttering a bit.

(Kitteh hasn't revealed why the creature and his followers were after Lilly yet.)

Lilly stays close to Dragonair as she holds FireStar in a protective way. She wasn't sure how they found her here, but there was no way she was gonna let them get her or FireStar. Lilly gets on Dragonair's back as FireStar gets on her shoulder.

Dragonair's dark eyes flick towards Lilly and then soars, taking to the skies. Soon the arena became nothing more than a dark dot on the horizon. With wings flapping slowly, Dragonair looked for a safe, faraway place to land, but was more concerned with flying. Nudging Lilly gently, she signalled her to look for a place too.

Lilly gives Dragonair a nod. Then Lilly begins to look for a place to land. FireStar was looking for one too until she spots a cave not far from route 202. FireStar tugs on Lilly's shall sleeve and Lilly looks down. She smiles and motions Dragonair to head for the cave.

Dragonair let out a coo as she began to glide downwards. Landing neatly and coiling herself in loops, she settled like an Arbok* and bent her majestic head to let Lilly slip off.

(*I was gonna write snake but then I remembered those things don't exist here.)

Lily slips off of Dragonair. She turns to her with a smile as she pets her head. Then she heads inside where she sets up and she lays FireStar, who had fallen asleep during the ride, on a soft cloth that she had packed. Lily comes out of the cave and she comes over to Dragonair.

"Dragonair, can you keep a watch out on FireStar while I go and gather some berries?" Lily asked.

Dragonair nodded as she eyed the sleeping Chimchar. She looked out as she slithered to the lip of the cave. Her horn glowed a bit as the clouds drifting around lazily, now quickened up and covered the sun, offering relief from the blazing heat and her orb lit up, shrouding the cave in a soft glow. She nodded a confirmation to Lilly again and curled up beside FireStar, keeping an eye open.

Lilly smiles to Dragonair as she nods a thank you to her. Then Lilly turns and she heads off to find some berries. She also had to keep an eye out and be cautious for any wild pokemon that might either be friend or not friendly.

(She has other pokemon right? Not just a Chimchar? Also, talk about irony. You got a Spoink in both your topics. Maybe this one I'll make a bit different...)

A bush rustled as a Spoink bounced out. It suddenly noticed the Trainer and was startled. It stood trembling on the spot, forgetting to bounce. (Then it's heart ceased beating and it died of cardiac arrest. Kidding. :P ) It then lashed out at Lilly, using it's small hands to beat at her, even though it didn't really hurt. It bounced and started whacking at her face, even though it was more like a tickle than a hit.
