Zach and The Z-Force

Kex was more cautious this time. He easily dodged the Headbutt.

Zach: Smog!

Kex breathed a toxic stream of smog.

Roark looked at het smog headed for his pokemon, and he immediately ordered it to dodge. THe pokemon did as told, jumping aside attempting to not be hit, though its attempt failed when it did and it coughed a bit. "Alright, you want to play hardball," the gym leader asked him, pointing his finger at the opposing pokemon. "Cranidos, use headbutt again, and pursuit!" The pokemon did as told, attempting to attack with pursuit as it rushed after the opponent to land a headbutt.

Kex Dodged headbutt, got hit with Pursuit. Not looking too well.

Zach: Sucker Punch!

Kex gathered his strength, then went full throttle and hit Cranidos with a Sucker Punch.

The cranidos flew back, being hit critically with the sucker punch. "Not bad Zach," Roark said, finally referring to the trainer by his name. "Not bad at all, but can you stand another attack?" Roark pointed his finger back at the opposing pokemon. "Use pursuit," he said to cranidos. The pokemon screeched, rushing after the houndour prepared to land an attack on the opponent. Roark didn't seem to mind that his pokemon had been hit three times in a row, the third attack being a critical hit.

Kex got hit with Pursuit, and after the dust cleared, Kex was revealed...fainted. Zach shook his head.

Zach: I guess not.

He recalled his houndour.

Zach: Kex return.

He got out another Pokeball.

Zach: Now, let's see how the rock takes after the water.

He threw the Pokeball.

Zach: Ferdinand! Go!

Ferdinand the Piplup came out.

Ferdinand: Piplup!!

Zach: Use Pound!

Ferdinand pounced at Cranidos, with his best Pound attack.

"Cranidos dodge," Roark said, and his pokemon jumped away from the pound attack. "Counter with pursuit Cranidos!" Cranidos ran at the opposing pokemon, attempting to use pursuit as well as atetmpting to use headbutt.

Ferdinand barely got hit with Pursuit.

Zach: Bubble!

Ferdinand shot out his bubble attack at Cranidos.

Cranidos took the hit, and Roark let him. It wasn't exactly that he wanted him to be attacked, but he knew that his pokemon were a bit stronger than Zach's, and he wanted to give him a bit of a chance. "Cranidos, use leer then headbutt," he said, and his pokemon leered at the opponent as it rushed after to preform headbutt.

Ferdinand's defense got lowered by Leer, but he easily dodged head butt.

Zach: Bubble again!

Ferdinand unleashed more bubbles.

The cranidos was becoming a bit confused, swaying a bit side to side befcause it was becoming weaker. "Don't worry cranidos! Just focus," Roark called, using a healing item on his pokemon to restore it. "Now, use headbutt again! You're close to finishing off his second pokemon!" The pokemon that was being ordered nodded looking back at the gym leader, turning around and rushing after the opposing pokemon again.

Zach: Crap. Uh, Dodge and use Bubble!

Ferdinand dodged again, and used Bubble on Cranidos.

"Dodge cranidos," Roark said, his pokemon doing as asked and jumping away from teh bubbles before it didn't wait for another order. It just rushed at the opposing pokemon, attempting to use pursuit and headbutt both together again.

Ferdinand curled into a ball as Cranidos hit him. He took damage, but not in an effective stance.

Zach: Pound that dino!

Ferdinand countered with a Pound.

Cranidos didn't wait for order, rushing to attack with twice the headbutt as a counter. It would hit the opponent, at the cost of the other attack hiting it as well. It took the damage, loking forward to seeing the result for the other pokemon.

It hit Ferdinand, who wasn't looking too good...until Zach got out a Potion!

Zach: Hey Ferdinand! Here!

Zach heals Ferdinand with a Potion.

Roark looked at Zach. 'Healing your pokemon right now shows that either that's your strongest r the one uou train with most!' He ordered cranidos to attack, and the pokemon did as told using pursuit.

Zach: Counter with Bubble!

Ferdinand dodged the Pursuit, and Unleashed more bubbles.

The bubbles hit, making cranidos roll a bit. 'Dont give up! Use headbutt!' The pokemon rushed after the opponent, head pointed for another atrack.

Ferdinand tried to dodge, but his Flipper got hit. He cried out in pain.

Zach: Well then don't pound, but use Bubble once more!

The Piplup did so.

"Cranidos dodge," Roark called,a nd the pokemon looked at the piplup trying to spray bubbles at it, jumping away from teh stream as not to be attacked. "Alright, you know what to do cranidos!" The pokemon nodded, rushing in to use pursuit.

Zach: Keep 'em coming, Ferdinand!

Ferdinand tried to stop Cranidos in his tracks while attempting to cause damage, with bubble

Cranidos slowed down a bit as he was attacked with the bubbles, taking damage and ultimately having his attack canceled. "Nice tactic," Roark complimented. "Cranidos, headbutt!" The pokemon looked at the piplup, realizing that it was close and running in headfirst for an attack.

Ferdinand got hit by headbutt, and took some damage.

Zach: Counter with Pound!

Ferdinand smacked Cranidos right back.

Cranidos took the pound, using a headbutt attack right afterwards. It didn't want to lose so early in the battle, but if it went down, it knew that Roark had other pokemon.

Zach: Ferdinand, finish it with Bubble!

Ferdinand did what it had done before: Stopping it in it's tracks with a Bubble attack.
