As the Adventure begins...

Miles walked into Striaton City from route 3. Man, that was quite a treck. Miles managed to hike all the way from Nimbassa city all the way to Striaton City, and he was proud. He looked down at his map. He might want to look for a pokemon nearby before he took on his first gym. He folded up the map and then took a pokeball from his belt. He threw it, and his Riolu, Alex came out.

"So, Alex. Today's the official start of our journey!" Miles said, which caused Alex to smile, "So, Alex, where do you think we should go?" Alex responded by immediately pointing straight at the pokemon gym. "Woah, Alex, not quite yet. I think it would be better if we found another pokemon to help us. You okay with that?" Alex seemed a bit dissapointed, but understood what Miles ment and nodded. "Good. Let's head down to the dreamyard first, then." Alex hopped up on Miles's head, sat down, and pointed forwards towards the Dreamyard. Miles chuckled, and headed toward the dreamyard, excited to see what was to come.

After a relaxing but occasionally slightly annoying boat ride and a peaceful, carefree walk though some places, Sy arrived in Striaton City. "I'm not gonna make many friends if I stick to my original plan, but I should try to do both the best I can anyway. Hey Jr, you think we'll meet anyone new here?"

"Ar! Aron! A-ron!" Sy Jr was trying to ask Sy if they could go to the Dreamyard to train, ince they hadn't done much. Sy Jr also pointed with his front left leg, which pretty much gave that away.

Sy began walking towards the Dreamyard as well. "Well, I guess it's somewhere to start."

Epicheski Drakon entered Striaton City as he straightned his collar. He looked around and smiled happily. He let Deino out of Pokeball quickly. "Well Deino, welcome to Striaton! Ready to get some training in?" Deino responded with a nod and a slight smile as he was itching to strech and power up.

Epicheski remembed that Striaton had the Dreamyard and took a few steps forward in an effot to find it. Deino made a beeline towards a gate forcing Epicheski to follow. As he neared the gate, he realized that Deino had found the Dreamyard. "Smart little guy. Found it all by himself. Unless he somehow read a map!"

Miles proceeded to enter the dreamyard. It appeared that many other trainers had the same Idea as he did. He decided to look for a new pokemon first before battling any of them, so he walked into the tall grass and let Alex down to the ground.

"Okay, Alex. See if you can find some pokemon, okay?" Alex nodded and started searching the tall grass for pokemon.

"Hey Jr wanna see if you can find a few Pokemon over there?" Sy pointed to the tall grass.

"Ar-aron." Sy Jr ran over into the tall grass and saw Alex. Sy followed him to the edge of the tall grass.

Alex looked over to his right. He could make out the shape of some pokemon past the tall grass. He sneaked up closer and closer, until finally, he jumped out and threw a Brick Break at the Aron in front of him, and Miles hurried over to see what was going on.

Sy Jr dodged, barely able to move fast enough. Sy came running over. "What Pokemon is that?" He grabbed the Pokedex he got before leaving Sinnoh. He checked and the match was Riolu. Sy Jr prepared to battle, readying an attack. "Ar-on!"

Miles emerged from the tall grass. "Hey, Alex, what did you fi-" Miles looked at the strange trainer, and looked down at the Aron and Alex, looking like they're in a battle.

"Woah, hey. Did Alex attack you? Sorry, he and I were looking for wild pokemon, and he must of mistook your friend there for a wild pokemon. You DID mistake him, right, Alex?"

Alex looked up, "Rio!" and nodded.

"So, it seems that we're already ready to fight. Shall we go?"

"I guess, I'll be waiting on the city's edge then. Come over if Jr loses please. I want to heal him as fast as possible."

Aron was still preparing his attack, now knowing it was a trainer battle, and he was at a pretty big disadvantage. "On. Aron."

Miles nodded. "Well, okay then! Alex, use Brick Break on Aron!"

Alex nodded, then ran up, jumped in the air, and then attempted a Brick Break on Aron.

Aron quickly used Rock Tomb, trying to knock Alex back.

"I hope Jr's still as good as he used to be."

Alex got trapped in the Rock Tomb, but began punching the rocks to get out, in an attempt to regain mobility.

"Alex, punch the rocks at the Aron!"

Alex then began aiming his punches so the rocks would fly at Aron to keep him busy.

Sy Jr attempted to dodge them, but a few hit him as he accidentally kept using Mud-Slap on Alex. "Ron..." Aron was not ready to give up but knew his winning chances were small.

Miles smiled! "Yeah, Alex! Now use Brick Break again!"

Alex jumped out of the no longer rock tomb, and used Brick break on Aron while he was stunned. "Rio!"

Sy Jr jumped up at Alex and attempted using Tackle. After the collision of attacks, Sy Jr bounced back down, a little more hurt, hoping to have done a bit to Alex.

Sy tossed an Oran Berry from their short trip to Striaton over his shoulder, knowing without looking that Aron needed it.

Sy Jr ate it, though it didn't help much.

Alex fell back, but he still looked like he was itching to fight. He got up panting, and awaited Miles's command.

"Alex! Use Brick Break again!"

Alex ran up for another try at brick break, knowing the Aron couldn't dodge forever.

Sy Jr landed facing the wrong way, and still without looking Sy was able to know what was going on. "Look out Jr, he's coming in again! Either dodge or use Rock Tomb again if you want. Better idea go for it, same for other idea."

Sy Jr dodged and used Mud-Slap, followed by a weaker Rock Tomb.

Sy still didn't turn around to watch. "I have an odd connection to steel types. I can feel their moves, I can stop looking and beat out a steel type trainer. Just a heads up."

(Meant to put somethind about that in trainer profile. Oops.)

Deino entered the Dreamyard and watched a battle between an Aron and a Riolu. Epicheski walked up next to his Deino and watched the battle carefully looking for weaknesses and strengths in the Pokemon battling. "Heated battle underway already it seems."

Miles sweated a little. This...this was wierd. He had never seen an Aron manage to dodge so many times! But he knew that the Aron couldn't be lucky every time. Even IF this trainer had a connection to steel types like he said.

"Alex! Use Brick Break one more time!"

Alex shook off the Mud-Slap and Rock tomb and used Brick Break on the Aron once again.

(Flame, you can't just dodge every time, you're kind of godmodding, you know. You should only dodge every once in a while, like I do, so it's a fair fight.)

Sy Jr attempted to dodge, though this time very exhausted and slow, unable to dodge. He was close to losing, but wasn't ready to quit.

Sy still didn't look, realizing that was their last berry. "I hope he can pull this one off..."

(No I'm not. I'm simply knowing my disadvantages and attempting dodges, as I've only completely dodged twice.)

Miles grinned, knowing he was near victory. "All right, Alex! Now use Brick Break and finish him off!"

Alex almost sneered as he jumped in the air, getting behind the Aron and using Brick Break when he landed.

Sy Jr attempted to counter with a very weak Rock Tomb. "Ron..."

Alex fell into the rock tomb, trapped again, but Miles wasn't discouraged.

"Alex! Do the same thing you did last time! And aim at Aron again!"

Alex then punched rocks at Aron again.

Sy Jr once again tried dodging, this time being knocked into a tree by the rock. He fell down and tried to get up. "Ar..." He knew he was beaten, but wanted to keep going.

Sy walked over and let Sy Jr on him. "Guess you won. You're a good trainer. Would you be interested in traveling together? At least, while I'm in the region anyway."

"Great battle." He walked over to the two trainers with Deino. "Pokemon obviously raised well. So where are you guys headed?"
