Aqua Marie Rainfell Empty
PostSubject: Aqua Marie Rainfell   Aqua Marie Rainfell H6Q0F8zSat May 19, 2012 7:39 am

Name: Aqua Marie Rainfell
Nickname: Aqua
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Rank: Elementalist | Water
Birthplace: Sunyshore City, Sinnoh
Battle Style: Aqua’s battling style is very relaxed. While she takes time to strategize her moves, she sees battling as a fun experience and wants them to be enjoyable. She spends more time playing around with her pokemon’s attacks than being overly serious about them. She cares more about her own pokemon’s happiness than winning. She believes she can never lose if her main goal is to have a fun experience.

Aqua definitely lives up to her name through her display in physical appearance. She has nicely pink shaded skin tone, flawless in appearance, which accents her easy going smile. Aqua has natural short, light blue hair, which is the exact same shade of blue as her eyes. She also wears an intricate type of apparel where the upper body is designed in an almost corset fashion with accessorized pink bands crisscrossing with a charm in the middle. She has two sashes tied around her waist that hand loosely, one is a thing white strip of fabric and the other is a blue frilly piece. It may appear odd, but her sleeves are detached from the shoulders, instead sort of just laying there, perhaps held on by the accentuated metal pieces on her shoulder. The outfit is completed with a pair of black shorts and then a set of black leggings and silver and black pointed boots. She is reflecting her overall love of the water, perhaps having been influenced by her affinity for the element.

Personality: Aqua is a very relaxed person that likes to take in her entire surroundings and joys of life. She doesn’t tend to rush with anything in her life, whether it be thoughts, or battles, or simply starting up a new task. She is easily excited and loves to explore all kinds of new ideas. This is a key factor to her very bubbly and kind persona. Still, she loves spending time relaxing and simply taking things in. Her main goal in life is to have fun doing what she loves without the pressure of it being forced upon her or her pokemon. She has a high intellect due to her genetics and teachings as she was growing up, but her intelligence is not the thing she takes most pride in. Aqua is a refreshingly bright spirit that many would feel a calming sense around. She loves to spend a majority of her time around bodies of water and visiting beaches as frequently as she can. This also ties into her favoritism of water type pokemon. Still, there are a few minor things she can’t stand, which are oppressive forces brought on by negative attitudes and dark spaces.

History: Aqua was never destined to be a normal child, which in some cases is not always a bad thing. However her parents thought otherwise. It was common knowledge that her parents where some of the top scientists in their field of pokemon studies. As such, Aqua never saw them often, instead she would always spend her time going to the beaches where she would play with the water pokemon. When her parents were informed of this by a nearby neighbor, Aqua had been banned from going there. It was never understood why until she reached the age of 7 and was told of her family’s history. They came from a long line of Water Elementists and her parents only wanted to prevent Aqua from discovering her own abilities with the element. Both parents understood the hardships of being dubbed as ‘weird’ or ‘strange’ by other children for having such a gift and, as such, refused to embrace it. They wanted to instill the idea that being an Elementist was bad so that their daughter would follow their example, and in doing so, prevent her from being ostracized.

The point that the parents were trying to get their daughter to agree with though was quickly reversed when Aqua had discovered the truth of her history. She wanted to pursue this to higher levels, learn all that she could. She paid no heed to anything that others said about her, simply brushing each negative comment off casually as if it had not been said. It was part of the reason her bubbly personality deviated so much from her parents’ own withdrawn ones. When her parents worked, she would sneak out and continue her adventures to the beach. She slowly started to attempt to learn some of the abilities that came with being the descendant of a Water Elementalist. At first nothing seemed to come from her multiple attempts, but as she started to practice with more and more of the wild water pokemon there, she could see a slight change in her progress. After several years she had started to become more adept at using the element of water. Still, she was a long way from being as skilled as some of the previous members of her family had been.

As Aqua’s own private studies kept her busy, her parents were working on a little project of their own. A strange pokemon egg had been brought to them by some local pokemon rangers. The egg was dark blue with a red orb in the middle, surrounded by several smaller yellow ones. It was kept in a protective glass container for it’s own protection. Aqua discovered this when her parents brought her to their lab, taking her down several floors to a part of the lab she had never seen before. Each door they had passed through was filled with maximum security, ranging from numerical lock paneled doors to tons of security cameras. Aqua was finally brought into a room that had very little lighting in it. The feint lights in the room came from the beeping machines along the wall and the table upon which the glass container holding the egg had been set. Her parents had then explained how the rangers had brought them the egg, saying they were to study all they could about the egg as well as protect it by all means necessary. The egg was believed to belong to that of the legendary pokemon, Manaphy.

Aqua hadn’t understood why her parents were showing her this if it was meant to be kept a secret. Her parents went on to explain to her that for months they had done everything in their power to attempt to get the egg to hatch, yet were constantly met with failure. In a desperate grasp at hope, her parents believed that since Aqua had dealt well with water type pokemon before, she might be able to get Manaphy to hatch. Aqua took on this task, only after promising the utmost discretion on her part. She had then taken the egg home after stashing it in her backpack. She had never dealt with such a thing as a pokemon egg before, but she treated it like she would if it were another water pokemon at the beach, though with more care. She would often find herself holding the egg as she slept, somehow feeling closer to it as she did so. One morning she awoke and stared down at the egg, getting ready to place it back into it’s container when it had glowed a vibrant white. As she blinked her eyes, trying to get her eyesight back in order from it‘s bright glow, she noticed a small blue pokemon now in her arms. Aqua had blinked down at the Manaphy and smiled brightly at it. Manaphy had instantly become attached to Aqua, as if she were it’s mother. Aqua could not have been more happier on that day.

All was not well forever though, for as Aqua had become more and more withdrawn from her parents in order to keep the hatching of Manaphy a secret, her parents suspicion grew. One afternoon, she had been down at the beach, allowing Manaphy to play in the cool waters, making friends and enjoying itself. It was completely unexpected and terrifying when her parents had stumbled upon her, their expressions first shocked, then the transitioned into anger. Aqua was supposed to inform them when the egg had hatched so that they could relay the information to the pokemon rangers as well as study Manaphy for the benefit of science and advancement in the study of pokemon. Manaphy had clung onto Aqua after that, crying harshly as it was scared by the elder people. Aqua did her best to comfort the pokemon, but in the end had to bolt for the pokemon ranger station within the city, her parents not far behind her. Manaphy had calmed down by the time they had gotten their, but still would not let go of Aqua. Many of the rangers that were actually in the station had been more than shocked to see a young woman enter the building with Manaphy. Those that knew of the Manaphy egg’s transport to the lab spoke with Aqua rather rapidly. Aqua had calmly stated what happened and how Manaphy was now very much attached to her. She had desperately pleaded the case of allowing Manaphy to become her own pokemon. She had years of experience with dealing with water pokemon, maybe not training them, but she had spent her entire life around them. Surely, she could keep Manaphy healthy and happy? After much discussion the pokemon rangers had, under no small circumstance, granted Aqua the responsibility of taking care of Manaphy. After the rangers had spoken with her parents, Aqua was able to reconcile with them and they were once again on fair terms with their daughter. Thus, Aqua attained her very first pokemon that day; one whose bond she would cherish for all time.
