Jamel Dente~ Search For a Lost Friend [Third Person]

"Looks like we'll have to head north to Pewter City first, and go from there," Megan said, looking at a map hanging on the wall of the Pokemon Center. Then we can either go through Cerulean, then Saffron, and get to Vermilion, or at Pewter we can go through Diglett's Cave and get right to Vermilion. Either way, we get there eventually, it's your call."

Jamel said that he thought it would be better if they just took the longer way, as it would be safer. Now knowing where they'd go, jamel exited the pokemon center, and headed north, followed by Megan.

They seemed to make it out of the town without any noticeable problems, and all seemed quiet. That is, until a Spearow flew out of nowhere, and landed on Jamel's head, plucking some of his hair, in a sort of cheery way. It then gave a happy caw, and made itself comfortable on Jamel's head.

Megan giggled, "I think it likes you," she said.

Jamel frowned slightly. He decided it was high-time to battle, so he released Fyre to the field. "Fyre, use dragon claw on this bird" Jamel said, shooing the spearow off of his head. Fyre waited until it wasn't on him to attach.

The Spearow let out a frightened cry when Jamel forced her off of his head, and she grew panicked when she saw Fyre rushing at her. With a pitiful caw, she quickly flew out of Fyre's reach, and dodged the attack. Then, in an effort to protect herself, she flew at Fyre, and attempted to use Peck.

Fyre tried a dodge, and took only part of the damage. Jamel was angry; how could a bird just come and pluck at his head. "Fyre, use dragon claw again!"

The Spearow tried to fly away in time, but the wind was against her, making it difficult. As Fyre used Dragon Claw on her, she let out a pained cry, and stumbled. On the ground, she turned toward Fyre, and leered at him in hopes of lowering his defense.

Fyres defence becoming lower would make it easy for the spearow to hurt him, but Jamel knew this was oppurtunity. "Fyre, use dragon claw with all you got! Take the bird down"

The attack did hit, but the Spearow wasn't down yet, with a painful heave, she managed to stand upright again, and before Fyre could get out of her reach, she tried another Peck.

Fyre was inable to dodge so close to finishing a move. He took the attack with endurance, though, so he wasn't gonna stumble. But he finally broke and stumbled back slightly. He had a headache as well. Jamel stared at the spearow. It wasn't trying to give up at all. "Fyre, use bite to weaken it for a capture attempt!" He said.

The Spearow, still weak from the damage she has taken couldn't get out of the way in time, and took considerable damage from the bite. She shuddered slightly, then launched out another Peck.

Jamel had Fyre dodge as fast as he could, and Fyre was able to do it from the weakened pokemon. Jamel pulled out a pokeball, and he tossed it at spearow. Dcome on, don't let me down pokeball..."

The Spearow got sucked into the Pokeball, and then it wiggled. Once, twice, then paused on the third, leaving Jamel in suspense. After what was only a few seconds, but felt like eternity, the ball wiggled a third time, and Spearow was caught.

Jamel thrust his elbow back in a victory stance. "Yes, I caught it." He returned Fyre to his pokeball, and looked at Megan. "Hey Megan, do you have a pokemon to defend yourself with if something happens?" He asked...

"Cleffa is good enough for me," she said, holding her Pokemon close to her. "That Growlithe might have been able to take her by surprise, but this little girl can pack a punch!" She looked proudly at her Pokemon. "And congratulations on catching that cute little Spearow, it was an entertaining fight to watch."

Jamel thanked her for the compliment, picking up the pokeball holding his new Spearow. "Well, now the only one that is actually usable in battle seems to be the growlithe. We may wanna hurry to the next town," Jamel said. He grabbed Megans hand, the other holding her cleffa, and started rushing down the dirt path to the entrance of the next town.

Before they reached it, however, someone stepped into their path. It was a middle aged man, average height, but could still be totally distinguished from a crowd due to having bright blue hair. The sight of the man seemed to make Megan giggle uncontrollably, and she clutched her Cleffa tightly to try to make herself not laugh. The man was not amused.

"Stop you two." he said, his voice filled with mono toned seriousness. "There is construction being done on this route, and you have to take a small detour to reach Pewter." He pointed to a small area filled with trees and no clearly distinguished path. "If you go around there, and avoid the construction, you may be able to get to Pewter from the West side."

"What do you mean that 'we may be able? Did you not take the time to make a concrete path to the city?! Why would I dare try going down a path that may not even lead me to my wanted location? Are you insane?!" Jamel screeched at the construction worker. He demanded answers.

"It's not a big deal," Megan said, trying to calm Jamel. She then turned toward the construction worker, and calmly asked, "About how far of a walk is it to the West of the City?"

Completely ignoring Jamel, the construction worker turned to completely face Megan. "Just follow the footprints in the ground. You two aren't the only ones that have had to take this detour today," the last part seemed to be directed at Jamel. With a nod, he walked away from the two trainers.

Jamel calmed down, and they took the detour. It actually took a shorter time than they thought, and they arrived at Pewter city within a short time. Jamel thought it may be best to heal his pokemon, so he went to the pokemon center. "Can I have me pokemon healed pls?"
