The start of the journey

After waiting abord the boat for about a week I left it at Pallet town. I already had my pokemon, my Snivy, and my Kanto pokedex I got from Elm so I skipped Oak's lab. I just walked through the town. A saw a couple of trainers thet probably got their first pokemon the same day. I saw one of my old friends that moved to Kanto a couple of years ago. By his side stood his starter pokemon. It was a _____. I walked to him.
