Suprises in Lumiose!

[Megan's at a loss for words lol :3 ]

Edward felt kinda awkward how fast everything was going. Hoss looked somewhat simply physically fit, yet he was big. Alot bigger than Edward. He looked like he could win the superbowl by himself.

Edward shyly smiled and shook Hoss' hand. "Hi. Nice to meet yo too." he said.

"So,  where are you two going next?" Hoss asked. Megan blinked, looking up at the man in light confusion.

"To get our second badges." came the simple reply from the youngest person there. This made Hoss chuckle, smile growing as he pat her on the back in a congradulatory (this is a word, right?) way.

Edward actually wanted to stay a little to know more about the family. They really seemed interesting. But then he look out the window and saw the great tall buildings of Lumiose City. "Well you know, I'd also like to look around the city. I've never been here before, heck I've barely been to Goldenrod City back home in Johto." he said.

"There are many places to explore, plus you have time. You two have fun. But be careful." Anna informed with a smile. "Don't forget about your baskets in the van either." She added thoughtfully. Megan nodded to her mother then looked towards Edward with a smile. So much excitement in one day. And, of course, there will be more throughout their journey together through Kalos.

Edward smiled back at Megan. "So, We're doing this journey together, eh?" he said. He held out his hand like he did back at Aquacorde town. "Well, I'd like to do some sight-seeing first around here. Care to join, Megan?" he asked.

She rolled her eyes, smile still intact as she took the hand offered to her, a light blush of embarrassment dusting her cheeks. Ninja made his way to Megan's shoulder, smiling at the two young trainers.

"Yo Professor..." Hoss chimed, catching the other man's attention.

"Hm?" He hummed, blue eyes curious as he turned to the shorter man. The two weren't to far apart in height, Sycamore being only so many inches taller.

"I'd like to work here for a while."

"How long?" The taller replied, not missing a beat.

"A month at least. It'll keep me occupied until I'm needed at the Union...plus I get to spend more time with Anna." Hoss informed.

"Alright." Came the other's simple reply. Anna grinned broadly, playfully punching Hoss in the arm.

Edward was very eager to get to exploring. He nodded to Megan and said "Well we should get going. But we'll be back later."

"Alright then." Hoss grinned, eyes lighting in mischief as he looked at the two teens who's hands were still entwined. "Have fun and don't do anything stupid you crazy lovebirds!" He added, chuckling at the sight of Megan's embarrassed blush to deepen tenfold as she looked at her father with a look of horror. Anna hit Hoss in the arm again, harder this time while looking ready to scold him as the Professor covered his small smirk with a hand, shoulders lightly shaking in silent laughter as he watched them.

As soon as Hoss said that, Edward's eyes grew and his face blushed a deep red. His expression gave a "Where did that come from?!" look. "Uhh..." he stammered nervously.

"Ignore him, he's just being...himself." Anna sighed. Sycamore regained his composure rather quickly, his smirk still in place as he watched the interesting group in front of him. Hoss was currently rubbing his now sore arm.

"Uh....huh..." Megan muttered, eyes still wide and blush still in place. She turned her head to Edward before turning completely and pulling Ed along. "We're gonna go now." She added, the tip of her ears as red as the blush that still lingered.

"Um, okay..." Ed said, nervously going along with Megan. "Uh, nice meeting you...!" he then said to Anna, Hoss, and the Professor.

Megan muttered under her breath as they reached the elevator. She couldn't believe that her dad said something that embarrassing! Sure, he said weird things a lot but that was unexpected. Once her and Edward were in the elevator she had the chance to calm her nerves.

"Sorry about my dad....he's just weird like that." She sighed, feeling just a bit awkward at how things turned out.

Edward was a little nervous when Megan pulled him in the elevator like that. He couldn't help but laugh a little. "Oh it's ok. Actually I like you're dad. Seems like a cool guy." he said.

"Well, it's good that you like him, cause it looked like he likes you too." Megan replied, smiling and laughing a little as well. The elevator was soon on the first floor, a small ding was made as the door slid open for the two trainers to exit.

Edward was a gentleman again and let Megan out first. He stepped out after her and then asked, "So, where too?"

"Hm, there are some cafés nearby and some other places like a shop that sell evolution stones or something like that. Why don't we stop by the café first?" Megan smiles. "Oh, we should get our baskets too." She added thoughtfully as she plucked a pokeball off her belt, enlarged it, then released her small fire type. Cynders look up at her before giving a small huff at suddenly being picked up and held. He began to pretend that he didn't enjoy being carried or held.

"Good idea!" said Edward. He and Megan went to Anna's van where the baskets were. "Well, it's your mom's car, so maybe you should do the honors." he said to Megan.

Megan opened the back door and handed one of the baskets on the floor to Edward, then situated Cynders onto her head as she got her own basket and closed the door. The fire mouse Pokemon looked at what was in the basket, noticing the Lopunny shaped chocolate. He climbed down to Megan's shoulder and reached for the candy, but couldn't grab it with his small arms, causing him to grunt in distaste.

"What do you want?" Megan asked as she watched the fire type struggle. When he jabbed his little arm in the chocolate Lopunnys direction she smiled, handing it to the small Pokemon; who wasted no time in stuffing the treat in his mouth and going back to resting on Megan's head.

Edward put the basket in his bag, though he wasn't too sure how that worked. Afterwards, he turned to Megan and said "So is there another Café that's different from the one we met at? Somewhere in another part of town?" he was eager to explore more parts of Lumiose City.

"There are cafés all over Lumiose City, there should be one near the Pokemon center though." Megan replied as Cynders made a small, content sound. Megan put her basket in her bag and motioned for Edward to follow her as she began to lead him to the café near the Pokemon center; the name alluded her as she walked, passing a Pokemon that looked like a goat that slept peacefully on the sidewalk, making small cute sounds while it was sleeping.

"Woah, what kind of Pokemon was that?" Edward asked as he scanned it with his Pokedex

"If I'm remembering correctly, that was a Skiddo." Megan said thoughtfully as the café was in sight. This made her grin and grab Edward's hand, pulling him along gently as she picked the pace up ever so slightly.

Edward was pulled so hard he nearly toppled over himself. "Whoa- okay!" he said.

And so they reached the café and as they entered, Edward noticed something about it. "It looks so much alike the other one..." he whispered to Megan.

"Yeah, a lot of them look the same, but some are better than others." She whispered back. Cynders sniffed the air, taking in the scents filling the building. Megan led them to some seats, a small smile on her face.

As Edward sat down, he continued to look around. "So, just how many other Cafes are there around Lumiose?" he asked Megan
