A New Beginning for a new Duo

Gastly chuckled softly seeing that the Aaron was possibly lost and afraid and made a few funny faces to attempt to get it comfortable. Yurei kind of laughed about Gastly's attempts to make the pokemon comfortable. Yurei had confidence in his little trickster and his playfulness.

Aron visibly tensed, unsure if to take the Gastly's faces in the hilarious type or the terrifying type. Not helping.

Gastly seen the faces were not working and turned to Yurei "can't battle the little guy so i guess we'll bait it" Yurei walked over to a few bushes and looked around for berries. Finding few he then slowly walked over to the pokemon offering the berries on the ground and backing away, allowing the pokemon space "the ranger is kind of busy so guess I'll have to take care of you little guy" Yurei smiled warmly towards the Aaron awaiting to see if he could get closer to it.

Atleast the berries managed to arouse a tiny shred of Aron's curiosity. Inching closer ever so slightly, it knelt to sniff at the berries. (Let's assume they're Pecha berries~ :3 ) The compelling, sweet aroma bought it shuffling closer obediently, like a little dog. Taking the tiniest of infinitesimal  bites, just enough to let the sweet taste spread through out. Liking it, it continued to work away at it.

Yurie smiled and stood back allowing the pokemon to eat "shss, Gastly, lets let the little guy enjoy himself" Yurei smiled warmly at the sight of the pokemon eating was kind of calming for the moment,considering what they just went threw. He decided to lay back upon a tree waiting for a good timing to really try and talk to the pokemon afterwards.

Although it looked like it would take some time. The Aron continued to take tiny bites. They could be here a while.

Gastly grew impatience as he began to float around playfully. Yurei on the other hand would await for the pokemon to finish and see if he could befriend the pokemon.

Finally finishing the Berries, it let out a happy sigh. Frightening how a full stomach made for a good mood. It finally remembered the presence of the trainer and turned to face it, also noting and registering the presence of a Gastly.

Yurei looked to the Arron with a smile and lowered to it's level at a distance "you alright little guy?" he questioned with a soft tone. Gastly would levitate slowly over Yurei's shoulder to study the pokemon for himself.

Aron managed a stiff nod. It seemed to be stiffening again. But it interacted. That was a good sign.

Yurei would try and communicate with the pokemon to try and get a sense of whether it was lost or not. "alright little guy, so you lost or just out on a stroll?" Yurei questioned curious to see the answer, With Gastly by his side, he thought Gastly could probably help understand whats up.

With this Aron broke into a long speech in a quiet voice. But with plenty of hand-waving and 'Aron'ing, it was likely the trainer wouldn't understand anything. It was pokemon speech, but the Gastly could perhaps help.

Gastly understood where as to Yurei did not. Gastly began to speak to the Aaron with it's gastly's here and gastly there. It seemed to understand the situation at hand but still listened in on more information as to why? how? and where.

(Sorry, my story is not very...imaginative >.<)

The Aron broke into a long tale as to how until recently it had been living with it's parents in a burrow. Soon the elders were all captured, something it had been taught at an early age to avoid. Alone, weak, the burrow was soon taken over by a rowdy bunch of Sandshrew and Sandslash. Powerless to resist, Aron was wounded before it was able to run away.

Gastly nodded understanding the situation and pulled to Yurei "hmm?" he questioned as he was being pulled "you want me to follow?" he questioned curiously. Gastly then floated over to the Arron, telling him to lead the way to the nest.

(Welcome back~ You disappeared for a good 15 days)

Naturally Aron hesitated. Leading it's way to the nest would mean that it would have to face the Sandslashes and it's past. But this trainer seemed genuinely willing to help. Slowly making it's way through the foliage, it would become increasingly difficult for the trainer to follow, as the trees entwined more sturdily and the undergrowth became thicker and more difficult to pass through.

(Sorry, just experiencing some personal issues)

Yurei had a hard time getting threw but it was adventure for him, Gastly followed behind the Arron but continued to look back towards his trainer "Gastly" he stated worried about his trainer, but none the less knew that Yurei could make it with some determination. Even thought Yurei got a few scratches here and there and fell a few times along the way, he was fine none the less.

Finally with a final stumble, it broke into a clearing. Immediately it visibly tensed up. For facing it was a small group. That is, three's a crowd. Two Sandslashes and a Sandshrew. On spying the Aron, they appeared to encourage the Sandshrew forward, which, without hesitating, stepped forward boldly,with a glint in it's eye. However, upon noticing the trainer, it flinched a bit, but refused to back off. Didn't seem like anyone would be getting out of this without a fight.

ooc:I am so sorry, I've been taking mid terms and college has been time consuming, I am so sorry again.
IC: Yurei seen that the Sandslash's had sent the youngest to fight, a small sandshrew, it might have been small but it might have also been powerful. Yurei seen that a battle had begun and he had to help the small Aron out in this situation and was prepared for the fight. Yurei stood ready with his partner at side and began the first move "Use mean look!" Gastly began to give a rather nasty glare at the Sandshrew.

Sandshrew flinched as the Mean Look found it's mark. Looks like they'd be fighting this out to the end. Suddenly scampering forward then rolling into a ball with the momentum, it attempted to use a Rollout at Gastly.


Level 7

Gastly had not calculated how fast the small Pokemon had been and had been hit rather hard. Gastly, then began to shake it off "you alright?" Yurei questioned, "Gastly the pokemon nodded, Gastly seemed more ampted for battle now, "Alright Gastly, let's hit'um with a lick!" Even thought this move wasn't the smartest of moves to go for, it was just to see what the Pokemon had been capable of.

Sandshrew was copiously licked by Gastly tongue. Grimacing and strongly expressing it's annoyance, it used Rollout's second turn.

Gastly was hit yet again hard, but this did more damage, due to Gastly being closer. "Gastly!", he shouted as he shook it off, but wasn't sure if he could take another as he panted,seeming out of breath. Yurei began to grow worried "Let's pull a hypnosis!" Gastly stood where it was to get distance from the Pokemon and began to stare in it's direction.

Sandshrew was on a roll, and cared naught for a Hypnosis. It continued on it's third turn of Rollout, this time, using a different approach. It rolled past Gastly only to rebound against a rock, gaining momentum and barreling towards the Ghost pokemon.

Gastly had not seen the attack coming and was mauled by it. Gastly had fainted. "Gastly!" Yurei cried aloud. He ran over to his partner and had called upon his second partner "go Litwick!" Yurei had taken Gastly to the side "you did good buddy" he then turned to Litwick with determination "we've got this!" he knew it was bad match up, but Yurei knew Litwick wouldn't go down without a fight "alright, lets start this off with a minimize!"
(I'm still pending on what this move entirely does so if you could kind of help me here with understanding if it's a go or just there, thanks lol)
