The trainer looked at his tropius foy back had spiral a bit across the ground. 'Nice job Zach,' the teacher said clapping. The student returned his pokemon to its pokeball. 'Heres the money,' she said handing Zach the three hundred he earned. 'Want to contrinue to the next match?'

Ferdinand gains twelve experience! Ferdinand is level thirteen, with two experience remaining!
Zach earned 300 dollars for victory! Two consecutive victories!

Zach: Sure. There's just one thing I want to do first.

Zach let Neo the Shinx out of his ball.

Zach got out a TM.

Zach: I bought this before we left Jubilife city.

He put the TM Thunder on Neo's head, and used it.

The researcher smiled, lifting her glasses a bit. She handed her clipboard to one of the students, walking out and looking at Zach. 'Shinx, nice choice, she said pulling out a pokeball. 'Listen, this round you'll battle me.'

Zach: Okay, Bring it!

Neo: Shinx!

'Alright,' the researcher said, taking apokeball from her lab coat's pocket. 'Go pikachu,' she said aloud, throwing the ball out and letting it return after her pokemon eas present. 'Pika,' the pokemon screeched, and the researcher looked at Zach. 'This will be fun!'

Zach started shining.

Zach: Aww Look! A Pikachu!

He got out his Pokedex and scanned Pikachu.

Zach: Neo, use Thunder!

Neo unleashed his newfound electric fury.

The pikachu took the hit, even if t didn't d much damage. 'Pi,achu, counter with thundershock,' the researcher called, and her poemon threw a shock of lightning after the shinx it wasfacing.

The attack only made Neo angry, though it did do damage.

Zach: Use Tackle!

Neo went ahead and pounced Pikachu in a tackle attack.

'Pikachu dodge nd counter with quick attack,' the researcher called. The piachu jumped away from Zach's shinx, jumping back to swipe in quick attack. 'If this hit lands I win the match. Remember Zach,' she said to him determined to win.

Neo instantly got hit, and was down for the count, fainted.

Zach recalled his Shinx.

Zach: Well, good job Neo.

The researcher smiled lightly, letting her pikachu run and hop to her shoulder. 'Well, you lost the round,' she said to him. She walked over and gave Zach a handshake before handing him the onehundred fifty dollars. 'You did good. Id like a rematch sometime,' she said to him, the pikachu waving a bit before twitching its ears.

Zach gains 150 dollars!

Zach adjusted his hat, and proudly shook her hand. Then he pet her Pikachu.

Zach: *To the woman* Yes...a rematch will suffice someday...tell me, what is your name.

The woman looked at Zach. 'Its Analice,' she said to him. 'I research pokemon, and when I'm not doing that I'm a pokemon breeder. That's how I got my friend here,' she said watching the pikachu try talking to Zach.

Zach: Analice...I'll remember that name. And you remember mine.

He kneeled down and patted Pikachu on it's head. Then he got back up and turned to the head scientist woman.

Zach: Alright, now what.

Analice looked back seeing the students headed towards the lab. 'Well, you go on your adventure and I go back to the lab to analyze the bsttles,' she said to him. She set pi,achu on her shoulder again and started heading back, leaving Zach abandoned in the middle of their battlefield

Zach waved goodbye, then he went back into the Pokemon center to heal his Pokemon.

Nurse Joy looked at Zach as he walked in. 'Welcome to the pokemon center. Do you need to restoee your pokemon?'

Zach: Yes please.

He handed over his 4 Pokeballs.

Nurse Joy took the pokeballs and put them into the speciak machine in every pokemon center. When the pokemon were healed successfully, she handed the pokeballs to Zach again telling him to have a good day.

Zach took the Pokeballs, and let out all his Pokemon.

Zach: Hey guys, we may have beat three of the scientists, but lost to the leader.

Neo looked in downcast.

Zach: Now Neo, you did well. But not even Ferdinand couldn't handle a level 15 Pikachu!

Ferdinand *Angirly*: Lup!

Zach: We just need to train you...all of you...and then...one day, we'll have a rematch.

Neo brightened up.

Neo: Shinx, Shinx!

Zach: Now let's head back on our way to Oreburgh City!

His Pokemon nodded. He returned them all to their balls except for Ferdinand, who jumped on Zach's shoulder. Eventually, they found their way back to where they left off.

Zach: Alright, let's do it.

Ferdinand: Pip-Lup!

They resumed their journey down the route to Oreburgh City.
