[Mega 4 Mod] Off to See the Professor

While the woman had, indeed, noticed the boy cut himself, she said nothing. Instead her grin distorted furthur, as though she enjoyed and fed upon his pain. Quick as a flash, something streaked past and handed the woman the seraph blade. "Ah, Anael. Thank you." She named the blade, stroking it lightly, and while it did not shine, she reached down to tug the ears of a Houndoom. The dog pokemon whined before turning to the boy, tail lashing, and mouth dripping black fire.

(I'd avoid that fire, if I were you. You know the legend.)

Zetsu kept his gaze on his hand, feeling it throb with agony considering any adrenaline from the attack he had just attempted was now gone. He sat back against the cage holding Sycamore's garchomp, trying to think of what to use to wrap his hand with while he felt a bit dizzy from the fact he was losing, well, blood. "Garchomp has my scarf, but that's for her injury... Perhaps I coudl tear my sleeve?"

Garchomp was anxiously clawing at the door, uttering small cries, claws screeching when they gnashed against material. She dared not try to untie the scarf for fear of shredding it, and depriving the boy of some wrapping material. Pokemon were tough, and her wound would heal in no time, but humans, especially adolescent, were frail. Houndoom was sniffing at the blood, and the executive seemed disgusted at the waste of the blood that she required. The Dark/Fire type whined, as though asking for permission to sink his fangs in the boys flesh to the root. "Tch. Heel." The Dark type obediently dropped beside his master, while the lady stood with crossed arms.

(Stalling~)

Zetsu tried his hardest to stay awake. "If you fall asleep now, it's all over," he thought to himself, holding his wrist before he thought momentarily and held his other hand over the wound. "I didn't train under Yveltal for nothing," he mumbled as he touched the wound with a finger, a bit of sizzling arising prior to stopping and crying out furiously. He beat his hand against the floor a bit before continuing with what he had tasked himself to do; use a bit of aura to sear the wound shut. It burned as if he was entirely set in fire, but it was the only utensil he had to fix himself up with. He began shedding tears in frustration at having to cause himself further pain to fix a wound, but he took it as punishment. "Good... Good... At least it's not bleeding further," he complained to himself in thought before slouching aside, laying against the cage. "But I'm so exhausted now; crying out alongside suffering the draining of energy... Can't follow through any plans can I?" He felt his eyes droop before the seared hand, which he had grasped a bar near garchomp's hand with in attempt to stay upright, let go and hit the ground near his head. He was unconscious again, and by his own doing.

The executive resignedly clicked her tongue when the boy burnt his wound shut, mumbling about his training under Yveltal. "Huh. We were gonna need that blood." She whistled, and two grunts appeared, speedily tying up the boy. "There. We won't now." She grinned cruelly as she approached with the blade.

As she completed the blood-letting and bound up the wound - albeit a bit sloppily - she looked up to gaze at the wall before her. It was a nice light cream, and reflected off the light of the setting sun. "Nice, eh? Eke out a suitable prison for him." She spoke, not turning her head to face the green-eyed girl leaning behind her. Milliana strode forward, boots clicking on the material, and grabbed the ropes binding his torso, and without complaint began dragging off the heavier frame. "Milliana." The girl stopped. "I need him...unspoiled." Brown hair bobbing as she dipped her head, the girl resumed dragging of the comatose male.

Zetsu, unconscious as he was, couldn't exactly respond to the ongoing events. He was bound without problem, his hand freely wrapped up without his struggles, and no kicking or fighting transpiring whenever he was being drug away. He was deep in his sleep, wondering lonely through whatever the pitch black set in front of him... Which was, of course, nothing. He eventually began to awaken from his unconscious state, eyes gently lifting before they closed in resistance to the single light seemingly in the room. After regaining the ability to feel beneath him, he quickly sat up, his eyes opening as he looked around... Metal; it was everywhere. He found that his hands were now bound in front of him with chain, the trainer attempting to use his aura to cut himself free; it failed. "Finally smart enough to formally chain me," he thought to himself, inspecting the scene further. He had been on a bed, the mattress not that uncomfortable. The ground was cold, metallic with bars interweaving and keeping him inside his cage, the door locked quite securely. He walked over to it, grasping the bars. The room was dark and with minimal light; he felt as though he were in a basement. "Hello," he spoke out. "Anybody there... Someone care to tell me where I am!?"

A shadow glided in the darkness, soundless, blending seamlessly in the sheer blackness. An Umbreon stepped out, rings glowing blue, but subsiding when she came into the light. Artemis. A beautiful name for a beautiful pokemon. Her owner wasn't too far behind; Milliana stepped out as well, her boots surprisingly silent for once. She had a frown across her face, her green eyes slanted, slitted, her eyebrows, furrowed. "Well, now you've gone and shaken it off the hook." She spoke, not trying very much to stifle the disapproval in her voice.

[Her; she wants a piece of him for what happened earlier o3o]

"Oh, I'm sorry," Zetsu scoffed. "I'm not the ones saying I'll tell the volunteer what he wants to know, and then go back on that word and question why they behaved so off!" He stared down Milliana. "You have yet to tell me where the professor is, you have my companion caged up; how did you want me to respond!" He let the bars of the door go, turning around prior to shaking his head side to side. "Not like you'd understand since you've never been forced into that situation. I'm still waiting to hear about what makes me so important to your plans! Fact is, I'd rather speak to the person in charge of this place instead of a pesky and demeaning grunt or the seemingly calm-yet-crude executive!" He turned around again. "And if you can't do that, I want out of this place right now; there's no right for you to keep me here and believe me, if you keep me here and I escape, I'll ensure that you all pay swiftly!"

(Oh, her; what happened earlier? o3o)

Milliana's eyes glittered green fire, flashing dangerously, but when Zetsu whirled around with angry words aplenty, they would meet with an open door. "Get out." The girl stepped aside, the door swinging open silently, a flash of silver and bronze in her hands; keys? Artemis glided into the shadows, blending in with nary her silhouette showing, as Umbreon were prone to, dropping a bronze key in Milliana's hand, who clipped it onto the key ring. The boy was free. The girl did the same, dissipating, but not before her voice wafting out from the darkness: "He's down the hall, to the left..."

Zetsu was entirely confused when he took notice of the door being opened. This woman, who had treated him much like a child and undeserving prisoner, having threatened him and escorted him by threat of her own Pokemon, was now letting him out of his cage, notifying him exactly of where to go... He wasn't exactly sure who 'he' was, but there were only a few candidates; it was either sycamore, or the overseer of the entire place. Despite his attitude, he was tempted to thank Milliana despite her disappearance, but he figured against it, sparing his time wisely as he rushed from the cage and towards the door to the room. He immediately walked down the hall with great haste, following the woman's directions with the oddest confidence in them; she had released him after all; would she truly lie about where to go? Regardless, he walked into the room cautiously, unsure of who would be inside. Seeing a figure, he spoke. "Are you the one running this place he questioned angrily, hands still bound; seemed Milliana had forgotten that single thing. "I want to speak to you; who do you people think you are forcing me here and going back on your word? I'm not exactly enticed to be a willing volunteer with the trashy behavior I've gotten and the way you've been treating my companion. " He explained his story, hoping it wouldn't fall on dead ears as he demanded, again, for information to be given to him about whatever research was going on and what purpose they needed him for. "If you can't tell me this, I want away with my companion at my side!"

The figure inside was slouched over, sitting in what seemed to be an uncomfortable position. Leaning against the wall, arm supported by a hunched leg, the silhouette looked up, fairly long locks of hair waving slightly. "Yveltal...?" He stood up; gauging gender by voice. "My boy! Are you alright? Unhurt?" As though brushing aside what Zetsu had just burst out, Sycamore unsteadily got to his feet, and stumbled over to the bars of the prison, made of the same durable material that everything else here seemed to be made off. "Oh! Is your shoulder alright? And your arm?" Perhaps then, for the first time, Zetsu would notice a roll of bandage around his forearm, just below the wrist, where the executive had cut him for blood. His palm had a black line seared across where he'd burnt his wound shut.

"How'd you escape? Where's Garchomp?" Worry tinged his usually steady voice as he looked around with dark, frantic eyes. The surroundings were dark, dark enough to prevent vision further than a few feet. Milliana glided out of the shadows again, making the Professor jump; a questionable habit really, disappearing in and out of shadows. She pushed past Zetsu, and swiftly opened the lock to the door. She cast a casual glance at Zetsu's badly bound arm, and flashed out her hand, grabbing it firmly. Strangely enough, despite the firmness of her hold, she was surprisingly gentle as she untied the bandage, dropped it on the floor, and revealing a fresh, clean roll, bound that up instead. "Come on." She called, before walking away down the hall, into the darkness.

[I didn't read she had; I thought she just opened the door]

Zetsu, upon hearing Sycamore's voice, felt his heart skip a beat; he had just been yelling at the wrong individual; he really had to figure out who was running the place and chop their head off after this... "Professor, nothing's alright," he told him. "I don't care about my own injuries; it's not like they threaten my life at the moment; I'm worried for garchomp! She's imprisoned elsewhere..." When he noticed Milliana show up again and unlock the prison (I assume Sycamore's prison door?) and then re-bandage his wound, he actually felt a minimal amount of regret about how he had been treating her... He just pushed it off since she had treated him terribly as well; they were even. Finding that his shackles on his arms fell, as though she had seemingly unlocked them quickly without his noticing, Zetsu also found himself pulled by his arm given Milliana had never released it. "Where are we going," he questioned the woman. "Why're you doing this; I thought you were with them..."

Milliana didn't answer, but merely kept on pulling ahead, dropping the male's hand when she was sure he wasn't lagging behind, stumbling or resisting. Sycamore followed more uncertainly, hands out to feel his way through the dark. Zetsu might feel compelled to smack his hands away from his face. They almost couldn't see each other in the enveloping blackness, but the scent of lemongrass and sage floated out like a ribbon, emanating subtly from thr girl. A bristling Artemis walked beside her mistress. "I can't get your Garchomp until after nightfall. She'd attract too much attention now. You, you'll come with me." She pointed to Sycamore, who seemed even more incredulous than ever.

"Why did you even bring us here if you're only helping us get out," Zetsu questioned Milliana. "This makes no sense!" He was trying his hardest to be a bit quiet, seeing as how if he were loud they'd all be discovered. He had no idea where they were, and he wasn't sure if he really wanted to know. "And it's purely dark; if we run into something it's gonna make noise..." He turned his eyes towards Sycamore before back to Milliana. "And what exactly am I supposed to do while you two are gone?"

"Look now, the way I see it, one does not question when their benefit is being carried out." She whirled on him suddenly, grabbing him by the shoulders, before letting her hands slide down with a look of hopelessness, if Zetsu's eyes had adjusted enough to see. "You don't remember, do you?" She asked quietly.

"Remember what," Zetsu questioned Milliana. "It's just one mystery after another with this woman," he sighed to himself mentally. "What am I supposed to remember? I've been awake for just a few years; I struggle sometimes to remember past my captivity when I was awake before my sleep..." He was hoping she'd give him some sort of clue or just flat-out tell him what he wasn't remembering.

"Amity headquarters. The Avarice defenders." She watched him sideways, through slitted eyes to watch for any sign of recognition. "2 years ago." Her voice betrayed her despair. She turned on her heel. "Let's keep moving." She rapped curtly.

Zetsu gave Milliana a worried look when she seemed despaired. "I'm sorry," he told her. "Thinking of it makes my head hurt..." He continued to follow her as he tried to think about what she said, finding that all he could muster from memory was fuzz. When one thing finally did come through for him, it was a fuzzy image of the woman leading him at the current time, and upon seeing it mentally, he ended up crashing into her after she had stopped moving. "Why is it all fuzz," he grumbled, wiping his eyes as he got up from having fallen after the crash. "I can't seem to remember anything; however, I can only remember a pciture of you standing somewhere."

Milliana cast a downcast glance. "You would." She spat, though with a distinct lack of hostility. "The Avarice got violent. They started shooting. The bullet would've buried itself right in the middle of my forehead..." She trailed off, but something in her tone said that Zetsu played some part in it. "You lunged in, at the cost of danger to yourself." She diverted her bitter gaze. "After I joined this society...no, this, um. Well, group, and learned what you were, I couldn't bear to be indebted to you." Though her words were sharp, bitter, they didn't really begin to cover the gratitude she felt, and even her eyes seemed...friendly, as though she were ready to forgive him, all said and done. Her interior shone forth for a moment, exposing just a young girl. And just as soon, it was gone, replaced by this fierce girl with chips of green fire and ice for eyes. "Now I don't owe you anything, understand? "

Zetsu, listening to Milliana tell her story, felt a bit guilted that she felt indebted to him after so long; however, that feeling quickly faded after she spoke again to him. "You were never in debt to me... If I jumped in the way, I jumped for a reason... Even if I can't remember it," he spoke to her, setting his hand on his nose when he felt it was warm. He pulled his hand away to see blood, his nose having begun to bleed from not just the collision, but the fact his mind was beginning to remember. He felt lightheaded, remembering the shot before the after-effects and some sort of hospitalization. He stepped forward before backward, trying to keep himself balanced before he heard a familiar sound; a pistol, being fired. He noticed a flashlight shining towards them, the trainer immediately stepping in front of Milliana and turning, simply to take the bullet in his shoulder and be knocked from his balance.

(Wait a second, he was never hurt. Just in danger of. Oh well~)

Milliana gasped, and stared in the darkness for the sniper, shocked gaze followed Zetsu as he slid to the floor. Hurt. Her fault. Indebted again. "You...you fool! Why'd you do that?!" Her voice quavered; her eyes filled with hot tears. Sycamore turned, and Milliana roughly thrust him aside as a bullet ricocheted a breath away from where he stood a second ago. As the female saw it, one either helped people because they either wanted something, or were in debt. What kind of childhood had twisted her ideas so far as to not know...as to hurt one so much...?

Milliana flung a knife in the darkness, pupils dilated dangerously, and from the soft sound that she heard and curled her lips in a smile, she knew the blade had found it's mark. She sank to her knees, before gingerly bringing her hand to the back of her head , and away to look at it. It came away red. Her last conscious thought was the hateful sight of the burly man standing behind her with the nightstick.

(From what I understand, a nightstick is that black, heavy stick that policemen use o3o)

Zetsu, after having collided with the floor, heard a knife thrown and the collision of something blunt against someone's body. He saw Milliana sink to her knees before his eyes had adjusted enough to see another stranger standing behind her, some sort of weapon in tow. He held his shoulder, feeling it bleeding as he looked to Sycamore, who was possibly the only uninjured of the party and the only one still on his feet. "Who're you," he questioned lightly to the stranger, his breath showing the pain his shoulder was in. "Leave her alone!"

(I always assumed batons to be those things cheerleaders used XD)
(Fair enough.)

The man said nothing, instead turning his dark gaze on Zetsu. His eyes seemed to shine out of the murky depths as he advanced menacingly. Artemis flew out of the shadows on rages wings, but he deflected her with not so much as a glance. Umbreon were sturdy, well built, tanky. If a single hit could knock her down as he did, it spoke volumes of his brute strength.

Zetsu stared at the stranger angrily, watching as he began to approach. Seeing Milliana's umbreon thrown back by a single blow made him a bit angrier. "Leave them alone," he spat before writhing a bit from his shoulder, the trainer beginning to attempt sitting up... Which was a struggle on its own. He kept his gaze pinned to the stranger, wondering what exactly he was going to do.

"Daoud." Someone's feminine voice cooed. A familiar voice. Oh no. The executive glided out, heels making a ruckus. "Hello, Yveltal." She smirked, and jerked her head sideways; command to take him away. The man strode forward, roughly taking hold of the boys hurt shoulder, not sparing any time on frills on gentleness. "And the wench too." She barked harshly; Milliana?

"How could you?! She's one of your own!" Sycamore cried, and was cut off by an icy glare that morphed into an equally icy smile. "She was." The man, Daoud, seemed confused before gingerly picking up the slumped girl with one hand, slung her over his shoulder and walked off, dragging Zetsu forcefully. "Now, Professor, I believe we have some work to do." The lady smiled.
