Half a heart~

Naga sighed lightly, looking over to Leviathan. It wasn't that Twilight had said anything wrong; it was mostly for Angel. "Did you rest well," he asked, the humanized serpent simply nodding his head. "It was a bit strange to wake up beside another human, especially as a human... But I suppose its something I'll need to become used to." After finishing his statement, he looked over to Twilight himself. "Anyway, I dunno when I'll find the time to teach you how to speak to, well, snakes, but we'll figure out something I suppose." It was then that he stood up, taking not just his plate, but Naga and Twilight's as well alongside their glasses, hauling them all over to a sink and rinsing them off to his best ability. He then returned, sitting down as Naga whispered to Akina. "Can you check on Angel for me," he asked. Seemingly a half-hour had passed while they had eaten.

"Thanks." Twilight nodded appreciatively as Leviathan collected their plates and hustled off to the kitchen. She pushed back her chair as she stood up, both hands on the table. Dusting off the last of her crumbs, she walked around to explore the room. Akina's ear twitched as she looked up, hard Naga out and sprang off with a squeak of commitment. Naga's lap was comfortable, but Twilight's was more so...
Perhaps those were the thoughts of the Evolution pokemon as she slowed, nearing the room where Angel rested. Using her small body mass to first squeeze through then shove open the ajar door, she padded over quietly, jumping on the bed and bending over the sleeping form, nose woffling.

Leviathan observed as Twilight explored, Naga watching as Akina squeaked and then rushed away. He heard the door crack open very lightly, Angel turning over on the bed as Akina would approach. When she felt Akina's nose accidentally contact her face, she opened her eyes lightly, turning onto her back as she sat up, taking off the now dry cloth before setting it on the table nearby. "That you Akina," she mumbled, rubbing her eyes before she leaned back a bit and rubbed the pokemon's head and back.

Akina nuzzled into Angel - well, her side actually - before climbing onto her lap, licking her cheek and curling up. She hadn't - and wouldn't - forgotten the care which she'd received from her in the day that Twilight was away. The day she thought she'd never see her again. Stifling a whimper, she rolled over, mumbling ominously when Angel tried to get up. She clearly wanted a belly rub.

Angel leaned back up when Akina crawled onto her lap, rubbing the pokemon's belly with her eyes squinting closed. She gave the pokemon a light smile, betraying the abnormal warmth her hands emitted during the rub. "Did you come to see me," she asked lightly.

Akina purred as her belly was rubbed with vigour. She was no stranger to the warmth her hand gave off - or was she? She lifted her head - the temperature of the hand was pretty high. She'd often snuggled up to Twilight when she was ill, and she knew that Angel was very ill indeed. Had her temperature risen? She squeaked in response, nodding her head in confirmation before jumping to her feet. Even at a distance she could feel the heat radiating. Time to go report. She dashed for the door.

"Akina," Angel complained out lightly, having found the pokemon sitting on her lap a bit relaxing during her time of illness. She knew she was ill, but she wanted Akina to sit by her during it, much so to the point she pulled the blankets from herself and got up. Baggy clothes waving about, she stammered through the door into the small intersection for the rooms, moving forward with her face turning red before she fell, conveniently crashing forward into Twilight with what Akina had discovered was a raising temperature.

Akina ran from the room to locate Naga, unaware that she was being followed by a staggering Angel. Twilight was just passing by, smiling at the pelting Akina before running into - and unbalancing - Angel. "Woah." She caught the older female as she sank to the ground. "Angel," She complained. "Why are you off bed?" Struggling to support her, she could feel the heat seeping through her loose clothes.

Naga listened to Akina's squeaks when he was found, the trainer rubbing hte back of his head lightly. "If only I could understand your language," he told her. "Is something wrong with Angel? Did she get any better or worse?" Angel, meanwhile, looked up at Twilight. "Just something to drink," she lied. "Lost my balance a bit." She then looked to Akina, the humanized absol grasping the wall as she tried to get up and sank right back down to the floor whens he tried to move forward towards her pokemon friend. "Oi... I feel dizzy. It's a bit cool in here."

Akina was chirping and chirruping, running back and forth between the door and Naga. Clear, universal indication to follow. She ran back and began pawing the male's leg. Any longer and she'd bite. Twilight's hold on Angel's shirt loosened as she allowed her to sink to the floor and straightened up, hands on hips. "Angel, you're ill. Come on, let's get you...hng...to your room..." With body - and possibly Angel - protesting, she made a valiant effort to pick up her friend and escort her to the bedroom.

Naga began to notice Akina's behavior, standing up lightly as Leviathan stayed seated at the table. Naga walked from the table to the door, following Akina; however, he made sure he didn't harm her by accident as he moved. Luckily enough for Twilight, Angel wasn't in much of a mood to struggle against her, being pulled back towards the room before she sat on the bed. Her face was flushed still, perhaps even more than before as she looked down. "I know I'm ill... But I want Akina," she complained lightly. She had begun sweating a bit, looking to her before Naga showed up, grasping a thermometer and taking her temperature. "Twilight, get the tub running cold water," he spoke a bit sorrowfully. "Now." He showed her the screen, Angel's fever having moved to 102 degrees. He tossed the thermometer onto the side table, giving Angel a bit of the medicine the doctor gave him earlier from his pocket.

Twilight drew back, blowing out a puff of air, hands on her hips, turning her head as Naga came in, led by Akina. "Yeah, you'll get her. Just get well, okay?" She assured her lamely; she wasn't very good at assuring. Obeying Naga quietly, she walked into the bathroom and flicked the tap open with a quick twist of her wrist. Akina was hovering around uncertainly while Twilight cast longing looks at the tub. She loved bathtubs. Shaking her head clear of thoughts, she called to Naga over the sound of running water of how the tub was ready.

"Come on," Naga spoke lightly, taking Angel's hand after Twilight called him from the restroom. "You're so warm... And you're sweating; the best option we've got right now is to have you take a cool bath." He led Angel to the restroom, gently asking Twilight to leave temporarily before he undressed his wife with the door shut. He then helped her get into the tub, Angel not even complaining that the water was either cool or freezingly cold. Her eyes simply shut lightly as she was laid back. "It's not that bad," she mumbled, Naga standing and walking over to the door. He cracked it lightly, calling to Twilight a bit. "Can you get a small amount of ice," he asked her. "Water is only so cold from the spout; ice will help it cool longer." Leviathan was still in the other room, sitting down letting Twilight and Naga handle the situation. Naga then called for Akina, pulling her into the room so she could be by Angel's side.

Twilight tilted her head as she stepped out of the bathroom. Shrugging it off, she paced around for a few minutes until she was dispatched to fetch some ice. As she scrambled to get it, Akina was called and ceremoniously taken to Angel, ill as she was, and in water no less. Akina squeaked and struggled, refusing to be put in water. Wet Eevees equaled grumpy Eevees, and while not only were they not a pretty sight to behold, they also didn't smell that great. Twilight was busy tipping some ice cubes into a plastic bag, trotting back and casting around a few stray glances for her companion, unaware that she was with Angel and Naga.

Naga wasn't attempting to put Akina in water, so the could've-been-grumpy Eevee would not be present in the room. He did, of course, pick her up, but he had set her beside the tub, Angel's arm hanging outside of it. If it weren't a bit red and didn't feel warm, it could've easily been mistaken for the arm of a deceased individual. Angel, after feeling a bit of Akina's fur near her hand, lifted her head a bit and looked over the edge to the pokemon. "You're in here," she mumbled, squirming her hand lightly to scratch the pokemon's head, though soon her hand slid down the pokemon's snout back into a limp position. "Try not to move so much," Naga complained. "A fever can easily wipe you out if you excessively use energy." He opened the door, taking the ice Twilight brought as he thanked her before putting the ice in the tub. He then leaned against the sink, looking to Akina. "Akina... I've been meaning to ask; you seem glued to Angel as though she's your mother," he spoke lightly. "Is it because of how much she spoiled you during that single day?"

(Well, it seems that two of us assumed you would ^^' Me and Akina. Because Angel's in the water o3o And I assumed you'd drop her in her lap or something.)

Akina was dropped to the edge of the tub, thankfully grasping the slippery porcelain with her paws and trying not to tip either way. She squeaked when an occasional splash of water wet her paws, but stayed her ground. Angel's hand brushed her, leading to the sick individual looking up blearily and rubbing her. Hand slightly damp, it clung to Akina's fur, pulling it slightly, not the the Eevee seemed to mind. The only thing she did mind was when the hand fell limply. She leaned over the appendage, but quickly abandoned that when she nearly fell, and also since Naga seemed to be asking her something. She tilted her head; not quite comprehending everything he said, but getting the main idea across. Why was she so close to Angel? Why, was he jealous? Giggling slightly, she broke into a volley of vocalizations which of course Naga wouldn't understand. Squeak. Squeak. Squeak. Veee! Chirrup. Chirrup. Chirrup. Nyaaa! Waving and twitching her tail and ears for emphasis, she finally stopped. It had been a powerful speech on friendship, but yes. She very much appreciated how she'd been fussed over that day.

Naga observed as Akina had been petted before the pokemon responded to his question, listening to the different noises as though Akina expected him to understand. The trainer sighed lightly; of course he wouldn't be able to understand her; he was a human and she was a pokemon... Possibly the only two who could have any faint clue of her speech would be Angel and Twilight, but the former was obviously unable to at the time, and Twilight wasn't even in the room. "Well, it's nice," he spoke as though aware, stabbing in the dark a bit. Even though Akina was close to Angel, she couldn't beat out Naga, who was unified with her by marriage; it just wasn't possible; however, it didn't mean Naga cared more or less if she was close to her. By all means, if Angel and Akina were both happy and being together wasn't a negative influence, they could fight and prick each other and chase each other about like nutcases. Angel, still in the tub, lifted her head a bit as she sank a bit, submerging her hair in the water as she laughed lightly. "Akina, you're kinda fuzzy... Like a jolteon." Her vision was apparently a bit blurred.

Akina chirruped merrily at her own bland joke before turning her head to Angel. Fuzzy? Jolteon? Jolteon's weren't fuzzy. In fact, they were anything but fuzzy. Their fur was spiky and sharp, and crackling with electricity. She puffed out her fur, becoming one big furball of brown and cream. As it settled into place again, she dipped a paw into the water before deciding it wasn't edible. She wanted some water. Thirsty. She looked around, and jumping onto Naga's shoulder, pushed off to the sink. Unfortunately she missed it, flying clear over and crashing with loud cacophonous, raucous sounds into some buckets.

Angel heard her friend slam into buckets, looking over to her. Naga picked up the eevee after a couple of moments to register exactly what the pokemon had done, the trainer sighing lightly as he set her atop the sink and turned on the water such that the pokemon could drink from it. "All you had to do was ask," he told her, Angel reverting back to how she had been laying previously. "No need to make sudden jumps like that."

Akina chirped a thankful 'Vee!' before sticking her head under the water, drinking it as it flowed. Withdrawing momentarily to shake her head and ruff, causing water drops to fly and splatter everywhere, she ducked back under the tap. Soon jumping out of the sink for good, she pawed the tap to get someone to close it and jumped to the floor. Wanting to get out, she scratched the door, claws slightly extended.

Naga observed as Akina drank from the sink, slowly causing the flowing water to slow before it ultimately stopped. "Do you want to leave," he asked her upon seeing the scratching, Angel lifting her head lightly to tiredly stare over the edge of the tub. "Let her," she mumbled. "Can't stay by me right now... She should be with Twilight." The humanized absol watched as her husband cracked the door, letting the eevee out before walking over to his wife and kissing her hand. Leviathan, meanwhile, had stood up, walked over to Twilight and taken her hands, his tail flapping a bit. "It's so strange," he spoke to her. "Your hand feels so nice; it's soft, but not... How is it so!" He was a bit excited.

Akina had come prancing into the room, ready to make Twilight grovel for forgiveness, but was met with the sight of the stranger she had got along holding her hands. She bristled fiercely; what was he doing? What did he think he was doing? Twilight tilted her head, wondering what he was talking about, and absorbed herself in inspection of her hand, suddenly greeted by Akina letting out a battle cry, a yowl before barreling into Leviathan's leg.

[Charge!~]

Leviathan wasn't doing anything harmful to anyone, and was clearly unaware of Akina's presence; how else could the pokemon have walked in, spotted him, and rushed right after him? The being found himself collapsing to the ground, pulling Twilight with him when Akina had rammed right into his leg.

"Whaa--" Twilight choked out before she crashed to the ground, head striking Leviathan's stomach. At least it was a fairly soft landing for her. "Arceus! Sorry! Are you alright?" She asked frantically, trying to unsuccessfully sit up, seeing that her hands were still grasped by the male. She ended up wriggling about, Akina being very vocal about her disagreement regarding the whole business.

Leviathan, whom noticed Twilight landing, didn't seem to mind that her fall ended up causing him more pain than his own collapse had. "Don't apologize," he spoke, the being looking away lightly when his face turned a bit red. He wasn't sure what he was thinking or what was happening as he felt his heart pace a bit before it settled. "It was an accident; that's all." He got up quickly, helping Twilight up before he stared over to Akina, whom seemed to be a broken record. "What's your problem," he asked her lightly. "Is something wrong with the two in there?" He looked over to Twilight. "You should go check on them."
