Melrose didn't stop after saying goodbye to Steven, in fact she began to sprint to the pokemon center. In a matter of seconds she had arrived and without a moment to spare handed her pokemon over to the pink haired Nurse Joy. " This Will Only Take A Moment." The familiar tune began to play as Melrose waited patiently for her pokemon to be returned to her. It really didn't take long and before she knew it the two balls were being returned to her. For once Melrose thought about herself and even though she wanted to take the oddish with her she knew that right now it wouldn't be very helpful to her cause and selfishly she didn't want it on her team. Moving over to the PC she placed it in a box and without a moment's hesitation she ran outside towards the sandy shores of Cherrygrove city.

The sun was at it's peak as Melrose released her Slakoth from it's pokeball. It woke up slowly and Melrose smiled picking him up and holding him in her arms. " Today is a very special day for us both Mr.Biggs and every day after will be more special than the next. I care about you very much and we need to be strong to get past the hard battles that will soon come to us. So please eat these candies I'm going to feed you so you can be big and strong ok? " Melrose's voice was sweet to Mr.Biggs and he couldn't say no as she fed him one rare candy after the next. He could feel himself growing stronger with each candy swallowed. The power in him rose so much that he could feel his body heat up and began to burn a bit. " Slakoth? " He was confused but not scared because he trusted Melrose. From the pit of his stomach a bright light began to emit.

Melrose placed down Mr.Biggs after feeding him six rare candies forcing him to evolve. The bright light that he emitted became so bright that she had to shield her eyes with her arms not removing them until she heard a voice. ' VIGOROTH! "It was very different from the slow, soft voice of Slakoth and almost made Melrose jump in fright. Looking upon the new form of her slakoth Melrose smiled. Vigorth moved from and too jumping up and down a bit around Melrose as it pulled at her towards the grassy area of route thirty. Melrose could hardly believe it and pulled out the pokedex she so easily had forgotten in the mix of all the excitement.

Upon reaching the grassy areas the two were already being approached by something moving around in the grass. Vigoroth excitedly got itself in position and Melrose stood just behind him.
" Ok Mr.Biggs, Let's start capturing! "

As she forcefully fed her precious Mr.Biggs rare candies, it rose level by level until it began to feel the power rumble within it. Like lava that's been trapped underground for years, it erupted into a glowing beam of spectacular beauty, revealing the new and improved Mr.Biggs. The only thing that was really different is that he could be lazy in more ways now. Oh and not to mention his now incredible strength! The once lazy sloth pokemon was now a lazy monkey pokemon. Revealing her pokedex she let the pokedex read off its description.

Mr.Biggs has evolved into a Vigoroth!
Mr.Biggs has learned Slack Off!
Mr.Biggs has learned Uproar!

"It is always hungry because it won't stop rampaging. Even while it is eating, it can't keep still." The robotic male voice read off.

And with that, they set out to Route 30, where they could battle even more pokemon in the wild grass. But this time while looking for a wild pokemon to appear from the grass a ritzy young man walked over to Melrose with a gleam in his eye. He had a dark navy blue suit on, with a white bow tie.

"My families so rich, I can afford rare pokemon!" The boy exclaimed, gloating in her face. "You're obviously new to this, so let me explain. When a trainer sees you, they can challenge you to a battle! So lets battle!"

Rich Boy James has challenged you to a battle! Rich Boy James sent out a Lv 18 Machop!

The trainer meant business, but so did Melrose!

Melrose didn't expect to run into another trainer while she was in the tall grass and she was rather disappointed that she did so. The boy in front of her spoke in a very confident tone and spoke to her about his family being so rich that he could buy pokemon. This comment alone caught her intrest but she couldn't dwell on it for too long because he went right in to explaining how trainer battles work. " I understand perfectly. My name is Melrose and I hope we have a wonderful adventure together! "

Smiling brightly Melrose didn't wait to be told about who would start with the first move, Smiling she called out to her Vigiroth loud and clear " Mr.Biggs lets go, Toxic " She knew very well what a Fighting pokemon like Machop could do against her Normal type Vigoroth, which was it's only weakness. Biting her lip she didn't think she would encounter something like this so early in her adventure, but one she always expect the unexpected. Watching as Mr.Biggs spewed forth the purplish green substance Melrose began to think up a few plans, she needed to finish this battle quickly but nothing in her arsenal would allow her such a reward. Her best bet at this moment was to just go trust her own instinct.

James seemed a little angry that she had cut him off while he was talking. How dare she cut off someone coming from high class! While he sat there and pondered a comeback to her rudeness she hadn't realized that she had already begun to do damage to his precious Machop.

"Machop, jump!" he commanded. He was too late, his arrogance had gotten his pokemon severely poisoned. Machop coughed, as he shook off the poisonous substance, his face transitioning from a greyish hue to a sickly green."

"Machop, use that move I just taught you! Use Return!" Rich Boy James called out as he had the utmost confidence that his Machop loved him to death. I mean who doesn't? The Machop grimaced as he grabbed his own bicep as he charged toward the Slakoth at full speed. Halfway to the Slakoth, the Machop began to slow his speed showing hesitation. He still went to use Return, but you could tell the attack wasnt going to pack a punch!

The toxic attack hit, but just barely and with that a counter attack came not as strong as her own. Return not being a fighting move didn't one hit KO Mr.Biggs. Smiling at her good fortune she now had the upper hand. " oK Mr.Biggs let's get ready for the end of this adventure! Encore for this perfect performance! and follow-up with a counter-attack, CRUSH CLAW! " She could have easily told Mr.Biggs to avoid the next attack from James's pokemon. Since she knew what it would be, she would let the other pokemon get close so Mr.Biggs could do Crush Claw Which would be more effective when hit a such a close range and Mr.Biggs would already be ready to deliver the blow. She was gaining confidence in herself with how things were playing out, but she couldn't claim victory yet and prepared herself for the next turn of events.

The Machop bounced back after hitting the Vigoroth, it looked back to it's trainer as he began to scold him.

"What the heck was that!" He screamed at the Machop. "That was so WEAK. Maybe because you're a weak pokemon." James said. The Machop looked ahead with a solemn look. Mr.Biggs was now clapping his hands and showing great pleasure in Machops last move. The Machop smiled, at least somebody thought he did good last turn! The Machop raced forward, a little faster this time now that he had a more determination. this time hitting with full force, it knocked the Vigoroth back.

"Good job! Now that's what you should do all the time!" Rich Boy James exclaimed as the Vigoroth got up, grimacing. The Vigoroth jumped up quickly at it's trainer command, right for the Machops throat. The Machop watched as the Vigoroth jumped ferociously at him, Rich Boy James watched astonished as his Machop was defeated in battle so easily!

"R-return!" James yelled in anger as his lowly defeated Machop returned to it's ball. "Here take this as a reward!"

Mr.Biggs earned 18 EXP!
Mr.Biggs learned Fury Swipes!
Mr.Biggs Leveled up to level 19!
Melrose got $300 from Rich Boy James!
