A New Beginning for a new Duo

Yurei and Gastly were both set for adventure wanting to start a brand new fresh exploration. As the two began walking away from the town the two thought of many things in mind as they both looked at all the pokemon that lived in this world, the beauty and serene of it all. taking in all the sights they didn't stop one moment to think where they were headed, even thought Yurei wanted to score a Gym badge. preferably the first one which he heard was very far the town which he could obtain such a badge.

Eventually time passed by, as the two finally realized chuckling about it. "were lost buddy..." Yurei cheerfully stated as he starred at his partner "gas gas..." the Gastly replied as they both laughed of this situation they decide to continue wondering what lied ahead for them.

Suddenly, a bush nearby began to shake wildly. A white blur passed quickly in front of Yurei's Ghastly, and attempted to attack the Pokemon.

Yurei, Unsure to what they both just witnessed smiled and stood there ground "what was that?" Yurei questioned looking around. As the Gastly cautiously scouted around himself it looked to Yurei confused "Gas?" It questioned. Yurei just smiled "we got this" and continued to stroll along keeping his hands above his head, closing his eyes confidently. As The Gastly followed it was still curious to the blur earlier.

Suddenly, the blur appeared again! It used a Fire Spin attack on Ghastly, obviously trying to deal some damage.

Unsuspecting the fire spin Gastly was hit. Yurei quickly turned hearing his partner in danger and prepared for battle "whoa what's that pokemon?" Yurei questioned "Alright Gastly use hypnosis!...once you find whatever it is that's attacking" Yurei stated a bit concerned looking around for it, as the Gastly also looked around for it calmly. the two even under pressure did not seem to lose there calm as they attempted in unmasking this attack.

The blur seemed to stop moving, and revealed itself. A white candle-like body with a purple flame.
A wild Litwick appeared!

The Litwick tried to avert its eyes from Gastly's Hypnotic gaze.

Yurei smiled seeing the pokemon finally and seen it was a Litwick, a ghost at that. This excited Yurei to want to catch this one but would challenge it first "Gastly focus on the Litwick quick!" commanded Yurei attempting to act quick. The Gastly then followed it's orders directing it's gaze towards the Pokemon hoping to catch it in it's gaze.

The Litwick was unable to keep averting its gaze, and was completely entrapped in the Gastly's eyes. The Hypnosis move seemed to be working, as the Litwick slowly hovered to the ground and its eyes began to close.

Yurei thought it a bit odd that Hypnosis actually worked at first try, but shrugged it off and decided to follow up with another move "alright Gastly!, use Lick!" Yurei commanded as the Gastly looked at Yurei in a way then looked at the Litwick. "gas?" it questioned. "i know, i know but hey come on just try it, can't be all bad can it?" Yurei questioned as the Gastly went forward to lick the Pokemon. Still feeling odd about this, due to the fact; it was a Litwick. it worried about the flames on Litwick's head.

The Lick attack was successful in some ways, but unsuccessful in others. Gastly had actually licked the Litwick's flame. Due to this, the flame suddenly burst and grew larger.

Gastly had fled back, watching the flame grow larger. Confused by this, the Gastly looked at the Litwick and curiously had to question. "gas?" Gastly questioned very confused to what was going on. Yurei was very intrigued by this. "Alright we've gotta catch this Litwick!" Yurei cheerfully stated "No worries Gastly buddy, We've got this" Yurei confidently pointed at the Pokemon "alright Lick once more!" Yurei commanded "just try not to lick the flame or the top" He suggested as the Gastly thought it impossible but attempted anyway going for another attempt at Lick.

The Lick ended up being used on the Litwick's face, and it woke up from the shock. Although it was paralyzed from the attack, it looked very angry, and began to use a Fire Spin attack. Its flame, because it was already larger than usual, caused the Fire Spin to be more hot than normal.

The Gastly unsure what to do in it's situation was hit by the fire spin. Panicking, Yurei quickly thought of another idea as the Gastly quickly fled from being near the Litwick and complained of the slight burned it had encountered. "Gastly, gas gas gas!" he complained. Yurei didn't think his next plan would really work, but it was worth a shot. "alright let's stand our ground and see what it dose next." Yurei Explained. "if it sends another Fire Spin, Dodge it!" He commanded.

The Litwick began to charge up another Fire Spin attack, and its flame formed to sphere-like move. Aiming for Gastly, the wild Litwick charged with its flame having fully formed the attack.

The Gastly awaited for a command as it stood prepared and damaged "aright!" Yurei shouted "attack from behind with a lick!" Yurei commanded. The Gastly nodded disappearing in thin air then appearing behind the Litwick. "gas gas!" preparing to use lick from behind.

The Lick successfully landed on the Litwick's back, causing it to be fully paralyzed. Because of its paralysis, it could not move properly, and was open to attacks.

Yurei gave a heavy breath and smiled "alright time to catch this!" Yurei shouted as he threw The Poke Ball at the Litwick hoping to catch it. The Gastly fled to his side of Yurei wondering if the Gastly did well watching the Pokeball awaiting to know if it was successful or not.

The Litwick was sent inside the PokeBall as red light consumed it and entered the capsule. It landed on the ground with a 'tap' and began to shake little by little. Once, twice, three times. Finally, after what seemed to be hours of anticipation and patience, the PokeBall calmed down, and the Litwick was successfully captured.

Yurei had jumped into the air. Happy and excited about the new family member he ran over to the Pokeball, picking it up and staring into it. "man we sure worked hard for another family member huh Bud?" Yurei questioned. As his Gastly began to faint, Falling to the ground very weak from the battle. Yurei instantly picking his partner up and placed his Pokeball in it's belt. Running past Route 8 with a fainted Gastly and a paralyzed Litwick quickly to Saffron City was very scared at the moment hoping to find a Pokemon Center in this city.

Luckily for Yurei, there was a PokeCenter near the entrance of the city. Once inside, a nurse and a Chansey were ready to help him and his Pokemon.
"Please come this way."
She said, and pointed towards a separate room.

Yurei followed very worried for both his Pokemon, But mainly for his Gastly. Yurei gave his Pokemon, both to the nurse and went on his way to the waiting room to wait for his Pokemon to be recovered. As he sat in the room, he worried very if he might have pushed his Gastly to far or if it was even worth placing his best friend in danger like that, so carelessly.

Nurse Joy and her Chansey returned to Yurei a few minutes later, and handed him his Pokemon back.
"Here you go. Take care and come again!"
She said with a smile. Her Chansey seemed happy as well, and waved at Yurei.

Yurei smiled taking his partners back and bowed to the two "thank you oh so much,I'll have to be more careful...um would there happen to be a shop in this town near by?" he questioned as his Gastly floated over to him. Yurei instantly leaped for joy running to the Gastly, then hugged it tight "oh buddy, partner, oh pal of mine I'm so sorry!" Yurei pleaded as he held on to his partner, taking the other Pokeball and placing it in his belt. The Gastly smiled very cheerful now licking Yurei "Gas Gas gas" it stated joyfully.

"A shop? There is a PokeMart a few houses down."
The nurse replied after thinking for a few seconds. Her Chansey pointed to the building from a window. The building had a blue roof and a white PokeBall symbol in the middle of the roof.

Yurei smiled and bowed once more quickly rushing towards a wall hitting it face first "Oww..."he stated rubbing his face, as the Gastly chuckled looking down at Yurei then passing the wall "Hey wait up!" he shouted as he ran threw the doors and off to the shop. Once he had made it to the small building, he entered and looked around. Finding the counter quickly, he rushed over to it "hello I'm looking for some antidotes and potions would you happen to sell any?" he questioned curiously.
