Ten Day Training Course

It was about time that Pignite evolved into his final form, Emboar. So Ryuji decided that he will spend a few days on training Pignite to evolve into Emboar. A ten day training course will be used to complete the training. "Pignite, in ten days you will have evolved into Emboar and then you'll have reached your strongest form. Are you ready?" Ryuji told Pignite which stood next to him on the battlefield. "Nite." The fire pig pokemon said in a serious manor as it nodded. They we're going to train hard every day to reach their goal and Pignite wanted to evolve no matter what so they could show the world the true power of the new team, Ryuji, himself, Totodile and Axew!

Day 1: Ryuji stood ready with Pignite on the battlefield, "Use Flamethrower!" Pignite then took a deep breath and concentrated on his fire energy within himself. With a big exhale he blew out a huge continuous blast of fire aimed at the sky. "Again." Ryuji said. Pignite then took another deep breath and blasted out another continuous blast of fire from his snout at the sky. "Now, let's start running to increase your speed." Ryuji said. He then started running along side Pignite, the two ran for a few minutes around the battlefield. Starting from the left side and running in a clockwise manor around the training grounds. Pignite ran as fast as it could, it was much faster than Ryuji, and it kept going and going. He didn't give up, his drive to evolve kept him running and running around the training grounds, the sweat already running off of his face. Ryuji couldn't run any further as he started getting out of breath. "Ok, let's stop the running for now and start hitting those rocks Pignite." Pignite then moved to the first boulder he saw and started hitting it with his fists. Left fist, right fist, left fist, right fist, and so it went on until he finally made the boulder crumble. Pignite then decided to speed up the boulder smashing by using Arm Thrust on a few of them. He lifted his arm in the air and charged at a boulder with all his strength. As he connected with the boulder, it crumbled on impact and small rocks were sent flying in all directions. "Good job. Now use Flame Thrust on those dummies." Their own combination move was used to destroy four dummies as Pignite lifted his arm in the air for Arm Thrust, his body then got engulfed in flame as he used Flame Charge. Pignite then charged at the first dummy and smashed it to pieces with the added speed of the Flame Charge. Again another dummy got destroyed as he connected with it, another and finally the fourth dummy got destroyed when Pignite smashed his flame covered arm into the center of the dummy. "Now let's end today's training with Overheat." Pignite then stood in the middle of the battlefield and used Overheat, the massive waves of heat coming off of his body destroyed the grass and trees on the battlefield. "Nice job Pignite." They then went home to get some rest for tomorrow's training.

Day 2: The second day of their training course had begun, with Pignite and Ryuji standing on the battlefield once more. "Let's start with Smogout." Pignite then focused on the three trees and their position on the battlefield. After taking a deep breath, he exhaled a massive cloud of black poisonous smoke from his snout which covered their general area. Pignite then jumped into the air and rolled into a ball, which then lead to him rolling at the first target, smashing the tree into pieces. He then focused on the location he remembered the second tree to be, and smashed it into pieces as well when he rolled into it with great force. The third tree was destroyed like the first two as well when Pignite rolled towards his final target and smashed into it. The smoke then cleared and Ryuji gave the next training exercise. "Now use Flame Charge around the area." Pignite's body then got engulfed in flames as he used Flame Charge, he then charged all over the area, leaving the grass burned to ash as he charged all over. He then smashed into a tree and completely destroyed it, leaving nothing but burning wood on the ground. "Nice job. Now punch the trees." Pignite then stood in front of the first tree, lifting his left fist up first he punched the tree as hard as he could. His right fist was used next as he lifted it up into the air and punched the tree as hard as he could. The process continued for a few minutes, left fist then right fist, rinse and repeat. The sweat was starting to drop off of his face as he continued to punch the tree harder and harder, until it finally broke and he moved on to the next one. Pignite crushed a few trees in the process as he exercised his punching and strength. "Now start running." Pignite then started running around the training grounds like yesterday, in a clockwise manor from left to right. A few minutes of running in circles as fast as he could around the training grounds started to tire Pignite out. But he wouldn't give up, no, Pignite kept running as fast as he could, faster and faster, his determination to evolve was indeed very high. Pignite ran for a little while longer around the training grounds, until he finally stopped to move on the the final part of today's training. "Let's finish today off with Sunny Day and Flamethrower a few times" Pignite then used Sunny Day to increase his fire type moves, the sun begun to shine brighter as the move got activated by the fire pig pokemon. Following the Sunny Day was a deep breath, and Pignite started focusing his fire energy within himself, and blew out a big blast of continuous fire from his snout. "Pignite!!!" He said as he blasted out another Flamethrower attack aimed at the bright blue skies. The flames were quite big and hot from the added power of the active Sunny Day, and Pignite just continued to use Flamethrower for a few times until he couldn't anymore, he was finally tired out from the hard training of the day. "Great job Pignite, let's go home now." The two then went home and got a good night's rest for the next day.

Day 3: The third day of training commenced as the team step onto the battlefield. "Totodile and Axew, you two are gonna help him train today. Pignite, only use Flamethrower for now. Start." Totodile and Axew looked at each other with a smirk as Pignite blasted out a big blast of continuous flame known as Flamethrower at the two. They'd need each other's help if they we're to stand a fighting chance. Totodile countered with Water Gun, the two attacks we're about equally matched due to Pignite's level advantage, but the Water Gun was slowly gaining distance towards Pignite as the two attacks collided. Pignite concentrated hard and kept on blasting out the flames to stop the Water Gun. Axew then went in for a scratch as it charged at Pignite. Pignite had two attacks coming for him and he could only use one attack. If he let go of the Flamethrower then the Water Gun would hit him, so he had to take the scratch. This helped him with training his endurance as well as Axew kept scratching at him while he focused on using Flamethrower against the Water Gun. But it became to much eventually as the Water Gun came too close so Pignite then jumped into the air over the Water Gun, avoiding it. "Axew! Totodile!" The two said proudly as their tactic worked. Pignite enjoyed the competition as he was a competitive pokemon, he wouldn't give up though. So he used Flamethrower again at Axew, taking a deep breath and blasting out the flames from his snout at Axew. Totodile had to protect his partner so he used Aqua Jet, his body engulfed by water he was shot into the Flamethrower's path. Just in time Totodile protected Axew as he intercepted the Flamethrower, the water around him protecting himself. "Ok Pignite, you can now use Flame Thrust too." Pignite then smirked as it had the advantage against the two pokemon. His body got engulfed in flames from Flame Charge, his arm then lifted into the air for Arm Thrust, which completed the Flame Charge move. "Pig!" He yelled as he charged at Totodile and slammed his arm into the crocodile pokemon's abdomen. The added momentum from Flame Charge increased the damage of the Arm Thrust as did the flames too. Totodile was sent flying backwards and Axew got angered and charged in for a Scratch. Pignite quickly turned around and blasted out flames from his snout, using Flamethrower at Axew, hitting him too. Axew passed out from the massive damage it was caused by the higher leveled Pignite. "Nite." Pignite said as he showed the two pokemon who was in charge. Pignite then charged at Totodile as it stood up, thrusting his legs hard against the ground as he gained more and more speed, he lifted his arm in the air for Arm Thrust and his body took flame from Flame Charge. It was over for the water type when Pignite thrusted his arm into the body of Totodile. Totodile fainted and Pignite was left to train on his own for the rest of the time they had left. Pignite started smashing his fists into the ground, left fist, right fist, left fist, right fist, and so it continued on for a few smashes when the ground started cracking and eventually crumbling. So he moved on towards using Sunny Day, increasing his Fire Type moves. Pignite's body then got surrounded by flames as he lifted his right arm up next to his body, clenching his hand into a fist, a serious look was on his face as he looked at the boulder a few meters ahead of him. He charged at the boulder with great speed, having gained a few speed increases from the battle with Totodile and Axew, as well as from this Flame Thrust, and the added speed increase from the Sunny Day because of it being a Fire Type move. Pignite was moving with an amazing amount of speed at the boulder and collided with it smashing it to pieces. The third day of training was now completed and the four went home to get the pokemon healed and get some rest.

Day 4: The fourth day of training had begun and Pignite was already stronger than he was before this training started. His evolution was clearly only a few more days away, so they had to work hard. "Start off with some running." Pignite then started to run around the training grounds again in a circular manor from left to right. He kept on running and running as fast and hard as he could to improve his speed stat. Every bit of training helped, and he kept that in mind which drove him to continue his training and running. After a few minutes of running he finally stopped and moved on to the next exercise. "Punch those rocks." The fire pig pokemon then lifted his arms up and clenched his fists. He started punching the first boulder in front of him, with every punch the cracks started growing until it eventually gave in a crumbled to pieces. Pignite moved on to the next boulder and started smashing at it too, left fist, right fist, left fist, right fist, with every punch it cracked more and more. Eventually this boulder gave in too, crumbling to pieces from Pignite's punches. "Let's use Tackle on those trees." The pig pokemon charged at the trees and slammed into the first tree he saw. Another tree was hit when Pignite charged at the tree and tackled it. The process continued on until a few trees we're destroyed. "Nice work, now use Flame Thrust." Pignite's body then took flame as he used Flame Charge, combining it with Arm Thrust as he lifted his arm in the air to make the combination move Flame Thrust. The pokemon the charged at the dummies on the training ground, smashing his right arm into the first dummy, destroying it with one hit as the flames then burned its pieces to ash. He moved on to the next dummy as he charged at it with his flame covered body, using Flame Thrust to smash it to pieces and burn it to ash as he connected his arm with the dummy, the flames engulfing the broken pieces. "Now let's train Smogout." Pignite took a deap breath as he started the activation of his Smog move, he focused on a few targets in the area and memorized their location. Exhaling a big cloud of poisonous smoke he finished the move Smog. The second part of the Smogout combination move begun as he rolled into a ball and activated the Rollout move. He rolled towards the first target and smashed into the dummy crushing it to pieces. The next target was a tree, he rolled towards it with the area still covered in black poisonous smoke. Rolling into the tree it broke apart in pieces and eventually in half. The last target was a boulder, Pignite rolled towards it with Rollout and smashed head on with the boulder. It cracked as Pignite connected with it and after a few seconds of rolling the boulder gave in and crumbled to pieces. "Nice work, now let's head home." Ryuji said as the fourth day of training ended.

The training had indeed been beyond beneficial over the past few days. Pignite had shot all the way up to level 31, learning the moves Take Down and Heat Crash while he was at it. In addition, Totodile and Axew benefitted from the sparring session they had. Totodile had gained a level, and learned Bite. Axew on the other hand had gone up to level 9, and learned how to use the move Assurance! If Ryuji continued training his Pokémon so rigorously, Pignite would certainly evolve by the end of the ten days.

As the 5th day had begun, Ryuji and his team went on to the training grounds. Though as the training started, they had this weird feeling that something was watching them. They weren't alone though they didn't know that as they looked around and saw nothing out of the ordinary. It was strange, this undeniable feeling of being watched yet no one and nothing could be seen, what was this strange entity watching them

Ryuji and the team was shocked and confused as a being in the form of a human stepped in front of him. Though this was clearly no human as a caressing light surrounded the being. "I have waited a very long time to meet you, Ryuji." The being said. Its body language being anything but hostile, Ryuji was even more confused. Was he dreaming? He pinched himself just to make sure, nope he wasn't. "Um.. Uh.. Who are you..? What are you..? And why have you been waiting so long to see me?!" Ryuji asked the being. He was clearly confused and wanted answers. What was this destiny the being spoke of? What was waiting for Ryuji that he has no idea about?

Ryuji had to think.. What will this destiny hold for him? And, with recent events where he's been more kind and respectful to pokemon has changed his destiny in its own already. What path would he choose when it came down to that? Good.. Or bad? "Pignite..?" He looked at his pokemon, wanting to know what he thinks. "Nite." Pignite sad as he nodded his head. Pignite knew what Ryuji had been thinking about, it was obvious. "Ok then. I'll follow this destiny, and when I do, I'll choose to go on the good path." The trainer said to the light being in front of him. What would happen now? He thought to himself

A war? "What war?" The being gestured to a bush, saying whatever would appear from it would prove to be an ally and what Ryuji's heart has longed for. Trusting the being and after his curiosity took interest, he walked towards the bush with his team. "Be ready." He said to the team as they had no idea what was going to come out of that bush.

A Monferno appeared!
It was clear it wanted a battle as it stood ready for a fight. "Pignite, you can take him." He said to his partner. "You two should stand back, we don't know how strong this pokemon is. If there's anyone who can take it, it's Pignite. Besides, he's almost ready to evolve into his final form, and that Monferno is also in its second form already so it would be fitting." The trainer said to the other two pokemon, Totodile and Axew. They nodded and stepped back with Ryuji to make some space for a battlefield. But if this pokemon had something to do with Ryuji's destiny, then he'd better catch it. "Pignite, let's try and capture Monferno. Now start with Flame Thrust!" Pignite has perfected this combination move down to the very last detail, so he activated Flame Charge, covering his whole body in flames. The next part was him lifting his arm beside him. A quick charge at the Monferno was made and Pignite gained a speed stat boost from Flame Charge as well, increasing his speed. This powerful combination move could prove to be troublesome for the Monferno as the speed and momentum from the Flame Thrust would increase the Arm Thrust's power, as well as the flames on his body that would deal more damage to the Monferno. Even if it was also a fire type, every bit of damage helped to increase the power of this move. Pignite would attempt to thrust his arm into the abdomen of Monferno as he neared the pokemon

Surely a being meant to be a perfect fit for Ryuji would be more prepared for the trainer's antics than the average wild Pokemon. Grinning, the Monferno narrowed his eyes as Pignite readied his attack. The Pokemon may be at a level disadvantage, but he was still going to put up a fight. Little did Pignite know, the Monferno wanted to be hit. A slight sheen formed around his fur, and his pupils dilated as he saw the fighting pig grow closer with his combination move. Monferno made no move to dodge it, it was better if he were hit. For, as the Pignite charged, Monferno has readied a Counter, and the devastating combo move would deliver itself two-fold to its own user if he continued his charge.

"Pignite!" The fire pokemon yelled out as it was struck with the Counter move, handing the damage back to himself two fold which really did a number on him. "Pignite! Quickly get up!" Ryuji yelled at the pokemon, but it struggled to get up.

The being spoke to Ryuji with what seemed to be disappointment in its tone of voice, though it seemed as if it still had hope in the fact that Ryuji was so special and important for a yet unknown reason to Ryuji. With a flash of light, blinding all three pokemon and their trainer Ryuji, the being and the focus of its test, Monferno, had disappeared into thin air.

Ryuji and his two other pokemon, the dragon type Axew and water type Totodile ran towards Pignite to see if he was ok. "Come on Pignite, let's get you healed up. It seems we've got some more training to do." He said with concern. It was clear that the bond between Ryuji and Pignite was strong, but the being seemed to think that it needed to be stronger. "Maybe if he evolved we'll be ready.." Ryuji thought to himself.

Pignite slowly got up, frustrated that he was taken down with a move like that. Ryuji knew his partner well so he would of course know that Pignite was frustrated at the humiliating fall it took from Counter. So he quickly tried to cheer him up, and it worked somewhat. "Come Pignite, we'll show that being and Monferno who's boss once we evolve you! Remember, we still have a secret weapon on our side and it will destroy Monferno, well at least weaken it so that I can capture it." The trainer said. Pignite smiled but soon after it looked confused at Ryuji as he mentioned the secret weapon. "Nite?" The fire pig pokemon asked. "Well I'm talking about Scald of course! Remember, once you evolve you'll be able to learn that water-type move and take Monferno down." Ryuji explained with a smirk as he ended his explanation. They headed back into the city and got Pignite healed for their next training session.

Day 5: After getting Pignite healed at the pokecenter, they finally started their fifth training session in the training grounds.
"Start off with a new move, Take Down." Pignite then took a ready stance and he started releasing the energy within himself to power up his body for Take Down. The fire pig pokemon then charged at the first tree he saw, thrusting his legs hard against the floor as he ran as quickly as he could. With a bang he slammed into the tree, sending shards of wood into every direction leaving the tree broken into pieces. "Good work, now use Flame Charge." Pignite's body then took flame and he charged at a nearby dummy. It was clear that Pignite had gotten much stronger since the first day they started as he smashed into the dummy and broke it apart as if it was nothing. He used Flame Charge again, releasing his fire type energy onto his body causing it to be engulfed in flames. The pig then ran at his next target, a boulder, thrusting his legs on the ground as he ran. Left leg, right leg, and so it went on as he closed in on the boulder, when he eventually crashed into the boulder and caused it to crumble. "Now let's use a familiar combination, Sunny Day and Flame Thrower." With the activation of Sunny Day, Pignie's fire type moves were increased in strength as it powered the moves up for a while. Pignite proceeded with the next step by taking a deep breath and channeling that fire type energy of his within his abdomen. With the exhalation he blasted out a continuous stream of fire at the area in front of him. Burning every single tree in his sight, the flames were big and powerful from the boost it got with the activated Sunny Day. "Use Smog." Taking another deep breath, Pignite activated his Smog move as he exhaled a poisonous black smoke into the general area, covering the training grounds. Everything was black. "Now use Flame Thrust as much as you can." Pignite then again channeled his fire type energy which caused his body to become engulfed in flames as he activated Flame Charge. The next step of the combination move had begun, finishing he activation of Flame Thrust as Pignite lifted his right arm beside him. The fire pig pokemon then charged hard and fast in a straight line, destroying anything and everything in his path until he could no longer continue with the move. Pignite was tired after using that combination move to such an extreme. His breathing deepened and sweat dripped from his face as the Smog cleared.
"Let's go Pignite, you did awesome." Ryuji said with a proud smile on his face

Pignite was clearly a bit stronger after the training. However, the stronger he got the more effort it took for him to get stronger. He gained a whopping 40 experience, leveling up to level 32. Still, he was a ways from evolving. They still stood a good shot of reaching evolution by the end of the ten days, however.

Day 7: The seventh day of their training had begun with Ryuji and Pignite heading to the training grounds. The fire pig pokemon, Pignite, was either going to hatch today or tomorrow, that's what Ryuji thought to himself.

They had to evolve soon so they could start training Totodile and Axew, so they didn't waste any time. Pignite took stage on the training grounds, taking a battle ready stance with his fists clenched and his body slightly turned to the left.

"Start running around the training grounds Pignite, we need to work on your speed." Ryuji said to his partner. Having faith that they'd reach their goal very soon. Pignite nodded his head and not a moment later he charged away. Nothing but smoke could be seen behind the pig pokemon as he thrusted his legs on the ground, pushing himself hard. Not only to get his speed up, but of course to evolve as well. He took a left turn once he reached the end of the training grounds and continued running towards the next turn, taking it as well. It went on and on for a while, it was clear Pignite had gotten much faster than when he was a small piglet when Ryuji first got him. He was so proud of what they've achieved so far. Eventually Pignite was done with the speed section of their training for the day.

"Now let's train that strength of yours. Start off by hitting those dummies, then move on to the boulders." Ryuji joined Pignite as they started to pounce on the dummies. Pignite's dummies were of course bigger and more durable than Ryuji's, since he was obviously much stronger than Ryuji. They worked in harmony, first it was their right first connecting with the dummy, after pulling back in to just give another shot with their left fist. It went on for a while, Ryuji was breaking a sweat but Pignite was still fine. He wanted to encourage his partner to go on and work harder so he did the same by punching faster and harder. "Pignite, move on to the boulders now, I'll continue here, we'll work hard together!" He said, motivating Pignite. Pignite moved over to a boulder and started punching. It was clear that he was working much harder now, the punches were much faster and harder. Cracks showed up in the boulder with every punch. A final blow crumbled the boulder, so he moved on to the next as Ryuji continued punching the dummy. A few minutes passed and three boulders were already destroyed, but the pokemon wasn't done yet. No, they had much more work ahead of them.

Ryuji panted for a few seconds and finally caught his breath after training on the dummy, but Pignite couldn't help but laugh. "Yea yea, let's move on. Start off the next section, fire type moves." The red headed trainer said to his partner Pignite. The pokemon nodded and got serious again. He started off with Flamethrower as he deeply inhaled, focusing on his fire type energy he exhaled a huge continuous blast of fire at the sky. Its no wonder they call it Flamethrower, Pignite clearly had great control over this move. The form was perfect and the fire within the form was clearly hot as hell. The red colored bokemon then moved on to the next move, Flame Charge. He stomped his feet continuously on the ground creating a dust cloud around him. His body was quickly engulfed in flames as he released his fire type energy over his body. With a blast he was on his to collide with a tree. Quickly maneuvering through the obstacles between him and the tree, he launched into the tree causing it to collapse and break in half as he hit the center. Pignite was starting to finally break a sweat, but that doesn't mean they were done. He stood up and proceeded to use the next move, Overheat. It was a good move to use, lowering their stats would mean harder training and that would lead to Pignite evolving into his final form. So he stood in the middle of the training grounds, and activated the move Overheat. His body stared to glow a bright red as the fire type energy was quickly being expelled from his body. The ripples of heat could be seen in the air as the power increased. Pignite was sending off big waves of heat from his body now and the move was finally done as he blasted of the final wave of heat in all directions. Burning the grass down and the trees were all on fire. This was indeed a strong move to use, but it came at a steep price. Pignite went down on one knee, it was clear the move took its toll on Pignite. But he wasn't done, no not just yet. "That's it Pignite! Get up were almost done!" Ryuji yelled out to his partner to try and help him get up, it worked.

"Now that you're stats are weakened, the hard part is gonna start now. Restart your training by running around the field." The trainer said. Pignite then started jogging, pushing himself to go faster and faster, which lead to him running, but he couldn't go any faster. A few laps passed and he was almost completely exhausted, but he wouldn't give up. Pignite and Ryuji were never ones to give up, they didn't know what it meant to give up. "Punches now! I know you can do it!" Pignite then walked over to the big dummy he was punching earlier. He started punching the dummy, punch by punch he was getting more and more tired. But he kept on punching, giving all he has he punched. His right fist connected with the big training dummy, followed by his left first. The process continued on and on for about five minutes, then it became clear he was almost out of energy. "Just a little more...!" Ryuji said to Pignite. Using his last bit of energy, Pignite punched the dummy a few more times. Right fist connected, followed by his left first. A few more times, slower and slower each time. But he wouldn't give up

The training was rigorous, and Pignite was exhausted. However, it wasn't for nought. He had gained massive amounts of experience from it all, 94 in total! It shot him up to level 35, just one shy of evolving! They would be able to work mildly in comparison the next day to finish off his training, which would allow Ryuji to focus on Totodile for most of the day.

Day 8: Pignite was almost ready to evolve after yesterday's hard session of training. Ryuji and Pignite headed for the training grounds. The pig pokemon took stage on the battlefield, and started his warm-up stretches. Once that was done, he started by jumping into the air and activated Flamethrower. After taking a deep breath he focused his fire type energy and blasted out a continuous blast of fire at the ground as he exhaled while mid air. He destroyed a few dummies that got engulfed in the flames, and he left his mark on the ground as a huge line was burned into the ground leaving nothing but sand on that area.

"Use Flame Charge." Ryuji said as Pignite was falling. He activated the move, engulfing his body in flames. Just as he landed he bursted of at a boulder. They were clearly using quick actions and not leaving any chance for an opponent to counter. Working his speed once again, he blasted through the air into a tree causing it to collapse and break in half. The flames that once covered his body now engulfed the pieces of the tree, burning it down.

"Use a right kick to send that burning piece of the tree flying." He quickly said as Pignite finished with his Flame Charge. The pokemon then quickly moved to thrust his right leg into the burning log, sending it flying through the air a few meters. The three actions done since they got here were completed so fast and in succession that it only took a minute, showing how fierce they could get and wanted to evolve. Pignite then moved on to a big dummy, made especially for strong and big pokemon so it had quite the endurance. He started by punching really fast, not much power was put into the punches. First his right fist connected, followed by his left fist. And so it continued until he really started using his strength. The punches slowed down a bit, but the power it packed made up for the amount of hits lost. Slowly the dummy started to show cracks with every punch. His left fist connected which was followed by another right hook.
