A Flying Start

(Hey stop avoiding so many times. I count three of them.)

Lillipup quickly wove in and out of the discs and sneaking in another Work Up, jumped again in an effort to Tackle the Emolga.

(It's kinda difficult to be hit if he can fly + the reason why he's avoiding is because the number of Work Up's used, he would faint if he was hit it's logic)

Aries then called to Emolga
"Now strike it down with Thunderbolt"
Emolga trying to strike Lillipup with the Thunderbolt from it's high up vantage point.

(Well, yes. The trainer doesn't always win with all his/her pokemon fine. o3o )

Lillipup was getting frustrated. It growled at Emolga before dodging. It bounded towards the wall, planted it's feet firmly on the surface before boosting itself up towards the Emolga, fangs bared for a Bite.

(I know but, I got an idea)

Aries then had an idea
"Ok Emolga"
he began,
"Allow it to catch you then, show it powerful Thunderbolt!"
Emolga moving in towards Lillipup and charging up his electrical power so, when Lillipup clamped down on him, he let loose an almighty powerful through the pain on Lillipup. Aries knowing that as, the electricity was going to go through Lillipup's teeth (bone) amplifying the power of the move and hopefully causing, it to faint.

(Bone conducts electricity? o3o That's new.)

Lillipup fell to the ground, limp. It had fainted. "Well done, challenger. I, Cheren, admit defeat." Walking over, he handed the badge, TM and money to Aries.

Venipede gained 11 exp!
Emolga gained 13 exp!
Emolga grew to level 14!

(I believe so; you ever sent an electric pulse through your teeth? lol)

Aries smiled walking over to Emolga who was coming into land before, resting on Aries' shoulder
"Rest up now my friend"
he remarked before making his way over to Cheren with Venipede at his side gladly accepting his rewards for winning, the Badge being placed into his special badge case and the TM being placed into a TM case which he bought when on his travels. Slotting the money into his wallet he said
"Thank you Cheren, you put up a great fight, you trained you pokemon well and I hope we can meet and battle again sometime"
then raising his wrist and asking
"Do you maybe wanna register each other into our Xtransceiver's?"
waiting for a response from Cheren whilst, waiting for him he used his other hand to retrieve two containers of specialist pokemon food handing them to Cheren and saying
"Oh yes for your pokemon to reward them and thank them for a magnificent battle, I made it myself with a special recipe, now shall we"
bringing up his details onto the Xtransceiver and showing them to Cheren to tap into his Xtransceiver.

(XD. No, nor would I want to.)

Cheren seemed surprised. Taking the food gratefully, he got out his Xtransceiver. He quickly typed in Aries' name and copied the details. Then bringing up his own, he showed it to the trainer.

Aries smiled tapping in Cheren's details into his Xtransceiver before, saying to him
"Thanks Cheren, I'll see you around and maybe i'll call you some time for a chat or a battle"
turning and saying to his two pokemon
"Lets be off then, next stop Floccesy Town"
him and his two friends turning and seeing the students with a friendly smile he said to himself
"I guess I can spare a second"
making his way over to the young budding trainers and coordinators saying
"Anyone wanna maybe have a look at my two buddies here? Oh yeah and if you've got any questions just ask"
healing up his pokemon with some berries he'd collected on his travels and allowing Emolga down where he stood beside Venipede and allowed the young students to approach them.

(Aries is a seriously nice guy so, he's gonna be friendly to everyone he meets and as helpful as, he can)

( :> Glad the Cheren part is over, I fail at controlling him -.- Maybe I should go play Black. Or White. My mom will never buy it for me...;~; Anyways, go ahead, control the students~)

(Actually I was letting you control the students as, you've controlled Cheren and the students attend Cheren's School so, over to you lol + that way I won't look weird talking to myself or asking myself questions or looking like Aries' big headed)

(X3 Fine~ Not too good at it though. Please don't kill me.)

The students started crowding all over Aries. There were random cries floating around like, "Wow! You beat Cheren!" "You must be strong!" "Cheren's a really good gym leader. You must be even better!" A particular child seemed to be very interested in the Emolga while others huddled around the Venipede.

(Was very awkward writing that. o3o You sure you don't want to control them?)

(Positive and I won't kill you lmao)

Aries smiled allowing Venipede to be with them for a minute before, noticing the singular child that was with Emolga, with that he approached the child and said
"Well then, I see you like my good friend Emolga here then right?"
crouching down to reach the student's height.

"Well...yes. You see, I have an Emolga myself." She hesitated, slightly intimidated by the older trainer before getting a pokeball out from the folds of her frock. "If you don't mind, can I ask you some questions about Emolga?"

Aries nodded
"Sure i'd be happy to help in any way I can"
with that he sat down on the floor cross-legged and Emolga flew up landing on his shoulder looking to the girl and smiling before, giving her the thumbs up. Aries meanwhile, reached into his bag retrieving a spare container of pokemon food he made specially for Emolgas handing it to her he said
"And that there is a special recipe known only to myself which Emolgas love so, you can feed it to your Emolga and it'll help it become faster and stronger ok? so, show me your Emolga and you can ask me your questions you have"
sitting upright and scratching Emolga's chin in a friendly way whilst, waiting to keep Emolga happy.

"T - thank you." Shyly taking the container, she gazed at it for a few seconds before an Emolga burst out. Sniffing at the box with interest, it suddenly stopped and looked up at Aries and the other Emolga. Perching on the girl's shoulder, it scrutinized them quietly. "So...er...could you tell me about type advantages and disadvantages? I didn't get that cleared out..." She produced a notebook from her frock again, which on closer look revealed there was a bag merging in because of the colour and texture. Furrowing her brows, she studied her scribbled notes for a moment before looking up at Aries.

Aries smiled
"Type advantages don't always matter as, much as, your bond with your pokemon but, if you really want to know then, Emolga's like our friends here are weak only to Rock and Ice Type Pokemon however, they are much stronger than, Fighting, Flying, Bug, Steel and Grass Type Pokemon"
he then took a closer look at the girl's Emolga saying
"Wow your Emolga is truly remarkable you've clearly raised it well"
before, asking
"Do you have any more questions for me then, because, I'm glad to help in any way I can?"
sitting back in his former cross-legged position.

"...Thank you. He's only level 6 though. I was about to get to training him..." She said, toeing the ground. An obvious sign of embarrassment and shyness. "Well...yes. Why doesn't Emolga have any evolution? And why is Volt Switch a move exclusive only to the Emolga line?"

Aries nodded
"Well it sometimes takes time to get your pokemon's level raised but, that shouldn't affect your relationship with him"
he then continued on to say
"Also, I don't particularly know why Emolga doesn't have an evolutionary line but, that's fine with me, he's awesome just the way he is"
he then looked to Emolga and smiled before, progressing on
"Now then, the move Volt Switch there are two things in answer to your question: Firstly, Emolga isn't the only one that can learn it but as, the second part: he is the only one that can learn it Naturally, others must be taught it through a TM"
he smiled at her before, saying
"Right then, have you got any more questions? In fact"
He begun calling to the others as well
"Do any of you have any questions about, either Emolga or my other buddy Venipede?"
preparing to answer any and all question given to him, knowing these would be helpful to the students and their future studies.

"Her, actually..." At that moment Emolga moved, revealing a flower wjich was hidden before due to the angle. A chorus of questions piped up the moment Aries offered. "When does Venipede evolve?" "Does evolutionchange anything other than the form of the pokemon?" "Why are trainer owned pokemon stronger than wild ones?" "Why do some pokemon only evolve with trading?"

Aries chuckled
"Sure, I'll answer all these questions, in order"
looking to certain people and answering their questions
"Firstly my buddy Venipede here will evolve once he reaches level 22, which is 9 levels away but, I'm sure we'll get there together"
next he looked to the second student
"Secondly, Evolution doesn't just change a pokemon's form; it also, changes their stats, sometimes their types and therefore their strengths and weaknesses, the number of moves they are able to learn will increase and finally, They can also, change the special abilities for example: Venipede possesses a deadly poison that seeps from its fangs. It's so strong that bird Pokémon, their natural enemies, will be rendered motionless; but, when it evolves into Whirlipede it will have a hard, sturdy shell that will protect its body. It slams powerfully into its opponents while rotating its body like a tire"
Changing his view to the third students he answered
"Thirdly, trainer-owned Pokemon are usually stronger than wild ones though that's not always the case; because, with their trainer, they have a bond, they have two minds working together to take on their opponents and finally their trainer is able to think of methods to train their partners that they may not have thought of on their own"
finally he looked to the fourth student
"Finally, though this isn't exactly my area of expertise i'll try my best, Some Pokemon may only evolve with trading because, it's a process which requires either another pokemon, an item or the expertise of two trainers to evolve, sort of like the passing of the baton, it's a special process sharing bonds, memories and experiences"
Smiling he looked to the entire group
"Is that all the questions?"
He asked as, he rose preparing to make his way back out of the school and to Floccesy Town whilst, on his way through to Virbank City and the location of his next gym battle. Hoping that the knowledge he had passed on to the next generation of trainers, breeders and coordinators would be enough, to help them pass through their studies and their future endeavors.

All the children bowed, bowled over by the wisdom and experience of the older trainer. "Thank you!" They all chorused as one.

Aries nodded to them all and said
"Good luck in your studies and I shall come back and see you guys some time ok"
looking to Cheren and smiling; giving him the thumbs up; he left the gym. Once outside he looked around before beginning on the route to Floccesy Town with his Emolga on his shoulder and his Venipede at his side. He then noticed roughly a third of the way down the route a _______, looking as though it was waiting for someone or something. He then retrieved his pokedex from his right pocket and scanned in the pokemon this confirming his suspicions that it was in fact a _______.

It was a Marshtomp, happily foraging around for any snack it would like in the coming evening.


Level 16

(Awesome I wasn't actually even thinking about a Marshtomp but, he'd be an awesome addition to my team)

Aries smiled; he had been awaiting a pokemon with Marshtomp's strengths and abilities. With that he looked to Emolga and nodded knowing his best chance would be to go with Flying Type moves. He then had an extra idea taking a video-camera from his bag and inserting it into a chest pocket waiting a minute pondering whether or not to battle it; soon he approached calmly deciding first to try the nice approach which he partially favored. He said to the Marshtomp
"Hey there, i'm Aries, do you perhaps, want a snack?"
preparing to get some pokemon food out of his bag, specialist water type pokemon food. He had food for every type just in case and therefore he didn't mind giving away some to friends and pokemon. Once he'd gotten it out he opened the lid and offered some to Marshtomp from the tube in his left hand.

"...? Marsh?" It said as it peered at the food. Taking a bit with it's paw (? Or is it a hand?), it tasted some. Immediately the savoury flavour spread through it's mouth. It was apparent that he loved it.
