Personality: Jurrickson is a bit of an enigma at times to people. Due to his often cold appearance, people naturally assume he is a distant and rude person. However, that is definitely far from the truth. He is a very fun-loving person and gets along with a myriad of different people. He likes spending time with his friends, encountering new pokemon, and challenging himself in battle with the help of his pokemon. His only dislike is people who doubt his skills. The only time Jurrickson ever gets cold and angry is during battle, as it is the time when he focuses and does what he can to lead his pokemon to victory. So when someone calls him out, he will most likely take offense to it.
History: Jurrickson was born and raised in Ecruteak City. Growing up in a place with such rich history is what pushed Jurrickson to hit the books at such a young age. He spent his early days indoors, reading anything he could grab his hands on. Whether it was about the history of the Legendary Bell Tower, or the Mysteries of the Whirl Islands, he absorbed every ounce of knowledge he could obtain.

Around the age of 11, instead of going on a pokemon journey like other kids his age, he chose to travel to Violet City in order to attend the Pokemon Academy there. He felt it was more interesting to learn the theory behind pokemon as opposed to directly raising pokemon. He spent several years learning and even ascended to teaching some classes there. The older he got, though, the more he considered leaving to go on his own journey. He had read so much, he felt it was time to apply what he learned from his books to the actual training of a pokemon. He returned home to collect his thoughts and begin his journey. Of course he also had to consider which pokemon he should start off with. That was a no-brainer for him; since he was from Ecruteak, he had always been a fan of ghost pokemon. The town had always had a spiritual presence, and Gastlys were everywhere in Ecruteak. When he decided to leave on his journey, he asked Morty, the gym leader, to help him catch a ghastly. With his help, Jurrickson got his first pokemon; his Gastly. With his first pokemon, he was ready to go on his own adventure.
