Zach and The Z-Force

Not realizing the group would be hostile, the Budew didn't have a chance to dodge. The attack hit her full force, and she flew back slightly from the impact. She let out a pained cry, and stayed laying on the ground, seemingly stunned.

Zach: Wow, that Chimchar's been raised well.

Dawn: Yep. Now watch this.

Dawn gets out a Pokeball, and tosses it at the Budew. It goes in the Ball.

Zach: That's it?

Dawn: No, if it's not weak enough, it can break out. Watch.

Zach, Dawn, Her Chimchar, and Ferdinand watch the Pokeball in anticipation, watching it blink and shake, until...

It shook once, twice, paused suddenly, as if a small battle was occurring inside, then in a blinding flash of light, the Budew broke out. Angry now, she rushed at Dawn's Chimchar, attempting to use Absorb!

Dawn: See? Like that.

Zach was suprised. It appeared to be caught! Dawn wasn't through with the Tutorial.

Dawn: Chimchar, dodge and use Ember!

To Zach's suprise, Dawn's Chimchar dodges the Budew's attack completley, by shooting up into the Trees. Suddenly, a Flame comes out towards the Budew.

The Budew wasn't prepared for that tactic, and was helpless when the flames rushed toward her. With a pained cry, the fire hit her dead on, and she collapsed to the ground, an easy target for a catch.

Dawn: Alright, lets try this one more time!

Dawn throws another Pokeball.

Dawn: Pokeball Go!

The Budew goes into the Pokeball. The 2 Trainers and the 2 Pokemon watch the small, weak battle inside the Pokeball, until...

The ball wiggled once, twice, a third, then with a 'bing' Budew was caught!

Dawn: Whoo!

Dawn goes over, picks up the Pokeball, and puts it in her Backpack.

Dawn: *Giggle* See? Isn't that neat?

Zach: Yeah.

Dawn: Good job, Chimchar. Return.

Dawn puts her Chimchar back in it's ball.

Zach: So, that's how you do it?

Dawn: Yup! Now, I wanna see YOU give it a try.

Zach:...Now?

Dawn: Here and Now.

Zach looks around.

Zach: Hmm. There doesn't seem to be anything else around here.

Dawn: Then try over there.

Dawn points and Zach looks: A Dark and Creepy part of the Forest! Zach could swear he sees eyes looking at him. He hides behind Dawn.

Zach: NO way! I am NOT going in there!

Dawn: You want to be a Trainer don't you? Trainers should not be afraid of Pokemon.

Zach: Yeah, well I'm just afraid that there's MORE than just Pokemon in there. I am sooo not-

Ferdinand uses Pound on Zach from the Butt, pushing him Deep into the Dark and Creepy part of the Forest. He trips over a Twig. Ferdinand comes to his side.

Zach: *Sarcasticlly* Gee, thanks Ferdy.

Ferdinand: *Proudly* Piplup!

Zach gets up, puts his hat back in place, and yells back for Dawn.

Zach: *Yelling* Hey Dawn?

His voice just echoes.

Ferdinand starts jumping up and down.

Ferdinand: Piplup Piplup Piplup!

Zach: What is it Ferdinand.

Ferdinand points to a bundle of Bushes still jumping.

Ferdinand: Pip, Piplup!

The Bushes start rattling. Then, a Wild _______________ Pops out!

Houndour, menacingly growling at Zach and Ferdinand. It was rather skinny, and looked as if it were attacking to try and get food.

Zach jumps back.

Zach: HOLY CRAP!!! WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?

Ferdinand: Piplup Pip.

Zach: Oh right.

Zach gets out his Pokedex.

Zach scans Hondour with Pokedex

Houndour, the dark Pokemon. Houndour communicates through barks, and travels in packs to hunt prey.

The Houndour paused and perked his ears upon hearing the Pokedex, and he growled again. Seemingly trying to intimidate Zach and Ferdinand.

Zach: A Dark Pokemon. Gee, I don't know if I could train something like this. My dad told me that if you keep training a Pokemon, it'll get stronger, but this one looks like it's gonna kick the bucket.

Ferdinand: Piplup! Piplup Piplup!

Zach: Yeah Ferdy, I guess you're right I could give it a try. Now...

Zach flips around his hat.

Zach: Ferdinand, Go!

Ferdinand jumps infront of the Hondour.

Zach: USE POUND!

Ferdinand comes at it.

Ferdinand uses pound.

(Houndour, Male, lvl 8)

Houndour, by the looks of it, has seen many battles before, and as a result, he easily recognized what Ferdinand was doing, and easily jumped away, while performing an attack of his own. With a tilt of his head, and a bark, he launched out a Sucker Punch at Ferdinand.

Ferdinanad has no time to react.

Ferdinand: PIPLUP!!

Ferdinand takes the attack head on, but doesn't take too much damage, as he falls to the ground.

Zach: Ferdinand! You Alright?

Ferdinand gets back to his feet.

Ferdinand: Piplup!

Zach: Alright, use growl!

Ferdinand lets out a shriek in an attempt to weaken the Hondour.

Ferdinand uses Growl

Houndour covered his ears slightly, then looked at Ferdinand less aggressively. It seemed the Growl took effect. With another bark, Houndour formed a small flame in his mouth, and shot it at Ferdinand, using Ember!

Zach: Ferdinand, knock out the Ember with Bubble!

Ferdinand shoots bubble at the Ember, hoping to destroy it.

Ferdinand uses Bubble

The bubble collided with the flame, and both attacks canceled each other out. Angry at the blocked attack, Houndour threw his head back once more, and launched another Sucker Punch.

Zach: Ferdinand-

To Zach's suprise, Ferdinand Dodges out of the Way, missig the Attack completely.

Zach: Good Ferdinand! Now use Bubble!

Ferdinand: *Using Bubble* Piiiiiiip, Lup-Lup-Lup!

Ferdinand use Bubble

Houndour couldn't dodge in time, and the bubbles hit him head on. With a pained bark, he fell to the ground, taking a lot of damage from the super effective attack, he remained on the ground, too weak to get himself up.

Zach was Excited.

Zach: Alright, nows my chance!

Zach gets out a Pokeball.

Zach: *Throwing it* GO POKEBALL!!!

It hits the Hondour on the head, opens, Hondour goes in. Zach and Ferdinand watch the Pokeball, to see if the Hondour will be caught...

The ball shook once, twice, a third time, then with a 'ding' Houndour was caught! Would you like to nickname Houndour?

Zach, Excited, Goes over and Grabs the Houndour Pokeball.

Zach: Alright! I CAUGHT A HOUNDOUR!!

Ferdinand: Piplup!

Zach lets his new Houndour out.

Houndour: Houn-dour!

Zach: Well what should I call you? Hmm...How about Kex?

Houndour: Hound-Hound!

Zach: 'Seems like he likes it.

Houndour's Nickname is Kex

Zach: Well, now that I've caught my first Pokemon, We better get back to Dawn.

Ferdinand: Pip-Lup!

Kex: Hound!

Kex suddenly hears something. He jolts his head to the left, and Growls.

Zach: What is it Kex?

Ferdinand starts jumping Up and Down Scared.

Ferdinand: Piplup Piplup Piplup!

Zach: *Annoyingly* What?

Zach looks, and Jumps in shock. Apparently, Ferdinand and Kex's Battle disturbed some Pokemon, because Zach sees a whole Flock of Angry Wild ____________ Coming Toward them!

Starly, they seemed to have stumbled into the birds' nesting ground. Most of the flock flew away after a few moments, but two stayed, attacking Zach and his Pokemon in defense of their territory. One sped at Kex in a blinding rush of speed using Quick Attack. The other rushed at Ferdinand using its wings as a weapon with a wing attack!

(Starly, Female, lvl 9; Starly, Male, lvl 6)

Zach: Oh no, Not more Starly! Both of you, Dodge! Ferdinand, use Growl! Kex, Use Leer!

Ferdinand and Kex jump out of the way. Ferdinand takes a bit of Damage, but Kex dodges completely. Ferdinand gives a shout of growl, Kex's Eyes glow of Leer, both trying weaken both Starly.

At the Same Time, Zach tries his Pokedex.

Kex uses Leer on Male Starly
Zach scans Starly on Pokedex
