Looks: Max is tall, about 6ft. He would be often mistaken for a grown man if it wasn't for his boyish face. He has a muscular body from years of keeping fit from traveling back in forth from Olivine city and Azalea town in order to alternate between his parent houses.

His nose is squashed from a previous broken nose when he was younger. His left hand is still red from a burn from touching a slugma when he was 3. He is rarely seen out of his trademark clothing of ripped blue jeans, a gray jersey and a dark blue hat.

Personality: Max is somewhat likable, recognizable from everyone from the north-west and south side of Johto but somewhat unknown by anyone past Ecruteak and Violet City.

He is respectful to others and likes to make new friends in order to gain knowledge and experience, which he also likes to pass on to others. He was popular at trainer school until he left at the age of 12.

History: Max grew up in Azalea town with his father and occasionally traveled to Olivine to stay with his mother and older sister.

Max's father was once a great trainer and even challenged the original elite four but lost to Agatha's Gengar knocking him out and he decided not to re-challenge the following year. His father gave him his first pokemon, a Growlithe. The Growlithe was the offspring of his fathers Arcanine.

Max spent time training his Growlithe and considered it his best friend and often showed off to his friends, being the only one at school with a pokemon before the age of 10. Max's father disappeared when he was 12 and he went to live with his mother permanently. He started to train more and wanted to challenge gyms but his mother refused to let him leave Olivine.

One day whilst training his growlithe a grunt from an unknown gang approached him and challenged him to a battle where the winner kept the losers pokemon. Max was reactant but agreed because was confident he could win. Max won easily and asked for the grunts Koffing to which the grunt angrily declined and stole his growlithe and took off, leaving max without  a pokemon.

Max considered giving up pokemon all together after loosing the only pokemon he had and the only thing left to remember his father by. Max quickly changed his mind when he found an abandoned Eevee wondering around route 39. Max nursed it back to health and started to do some light training with it.

Max formed a close bond with his Eevee but never forgot his Growlithe which he swore he would find one day and make sure he gets his revenge on the grunt who stole his Growlithe.

Max decided to start traveling after his mother retired from being a trainer and his sister left the Johto Region to compete in the Hoenn League. He put his dream of collecting all the badges in Johto and Kanto challenging the elite four on hold until he is reunited with his Growlithe. He plans to train until he knows he can beat the gang who stole Growlithe and will assemble the best team he possibly can based around his much loved Eevee.
