The Ratatta was hit by the Scratch and caught slightly off guard, but managed to regain its composure enough to cutely but annoyinly whip its tail around Totodiles face, attempting to lower its defences. "Ratattttar!" As this was going on, Lily walked past and started watching the battle, Blazey on her back.

Rattata dodged Totodiles Scratch and decided to go under Totodiles claws an Tackle it down to the ground. Lily watched the battle, intrigues how a strong trainer like Nick fights in a wild battle scenario, "Good luck Nick," she encouraged and Blazey jumped off her shoulder to get a better look at the battle.

Ratatta was scratched straight accross the face and knocked to the ground. It looked like it was almost ready to faint but still wanted to keep fighting, itsprinted up to Totodile and went for another Tackle to it, "Ra-ta-taaar!" it screamed as it aimed to throw Totodile to the ground. Lily watched, intruge at what Nik was going to do.

The Pokeball shook twice, then it clicked. Ratatta had been caught

Lily walked up to Nick, admiring his skills in catching Pokemon, "Wow youre good, anyways see you at Viridian City," she said before trotting off. As she trotted off, a Caterpie fell of a tree onto Nick's head.

Caterpie manages to jump to the side of the Tackle at the last second and then use String Shot, in an attempt to make Ratatta's next move slower. "Caterppie!" it shouted. A Beedril flew over them, watching intently.

Caterpie is hit by the Tackle this time, and rolls over and away from the attack, but continues using String Shot the whole time on Ratatta, not even attempting to do anything else. The Beedril swarm mostly leave, except one of them stays to watch the remainder of the battle.

Nick:rattata use tackle!*it uses it*

Caterpie is knocke back by the Tackle, whoch stops it using String Shot for a second as it gets back up. Its weak now, too weak to do much except just spray for string at Ratatta, hoping to stop it enough so that it can recover. The lone Beedril watching the battle does nothing, simply hovering over the battle.

Nick:Now lets finish this off Tackle!*rattata tackles caterpie*

Caterpie faints and is knocked to the ground. It stays there motionless, Rattata gained 2 EXP points. The Beedril whoch was on top of them comes up and swoops the Catepie off the ground and flies back into the tree it came from, and a jogger jogged past, then he ran into Viridian Forest, huffing and puffing, holding his water in one hand, music player in the other.

Nick:Return rattata!*continues on path to viridian city*

Eventually Nick came to te mouth of Viridian Forest. Only through the one mouth could anything insidd the forest be seen, it wa like a cave maade out of plants. Inside, many pokemon were flyong around, and trees were positioned in order to crete a natrual maze inside the cave. Or was it natrual?

A Butterfree flew in fron of Nick and started fluttering around him, thn turned aggresive and strted charging into Nick's face. A swarm of Beedrils flew overhead, followe by a firece pidgeyotto, "Whats going on?" cried Lily, stepping back from the Beedril and pidgeoto event to notic that a Butgerfree wa attacking Nick.
