Pokemon Quest - Episode 2: Oldale Town Festival! Plus new Friends!

A nice sunshiny day in Oldale Town as the folks were prepping up for the festival that would take place. Miles away on route 101, The young Trainer name Amelia and her Treecko name Blade were making their way to Oldale Town. Amelia was very excited to get to the town as the Festival was her family's favorite and it was just in a few days too. Usually around this time of year, Amelia would be traveling with her family to the Oldale Town as it was tradition to attend the festival held a few days after her birthday. However, Blade was still hanging onto his trainer as he keeps a look out for any wild pokemon that may come out.

[Miles away is a long way away o3o]

"Help," a faint voice called out. "HELP!" A boy was screaming out for assistance, a few pokemons' cries hearable from a small distance. "Their attacking me! Help!" A small boy rushed from a patch of grass, a few pokemon following after him quickly. The child had a few scars on his face and arms. "Someone help me!"

Blade perks up as Amelia stops and turns to the cries of help distance away. When they saw the child running front he small pack of pokemon, Amelia rushes forward and she gets in front of the child as Blade jump down in front of the pokemon that was chasing the child. Amelia takes out her pokedex and she points at the pack of the pokemon.

"Don't worry, your safe with us. Now let's see what kind of Pokemon these are." Amelia says to the child while having her Pokedex pointed at the small pack.

A couple of seviper stared at Amelia and Blade before to the boy. They hissed out in rage, the child having meddled with something he shouldn't have in their territory. "Seviper, the Fang Snake Pokémon. Seviper is known for its angry disposition, immobilizing its opponents by wrapping its body around them," the pokedex chimed out, the serpents slithering a bit backwards from Amelia since she seemed to be protecting the child. They weren't going to be fully aggressive and get into much trouble, especially when a pokemon was with her.

"Seviper and there's two of them. Be on your guard, Blade and keep an eye on them." Amelia says as Blade stands his ground while eyeing the two sevipers.

Amelia stores her Pokedex away before turning to the child to check if the boy was okay. She inspects him only to find a few scars on his face and arms. Meanwhile, Blade stands his guard as he still eyes the sevipers.

"Looks like nothing too serious, just a few scars is all. Do you know why these two sevipers were chasing you?" Amelia asks as she inspects the boy.

The two pokemon had stopped after slithering back a bit. They hissed angrily, moreso when the child that had been running opened his bag. Inside was a pokemon egg, likely that belonged to the couple of serpents, and as such, they weren't pleased. They wanted it back and hissed again in demand, staring Blade down to convince him they weren't at fault for protecting their family.

Amelia turns from the sevipers to the egg inside the boy's bag. So that was why these two pokemon were chasing this boy. He had an egg that belonged to them, but Amelia was confused as to why the boy had an egg with him.

"An egg! Why do you have an egg with you? does it belong to the sevipers?" Amelia asks as she was needing come clarifications first by hearing the boy's side of the story.

"N... No," the boy told Amelia. "It's my egg; I've had it a while!" The boy was obviously lying, the sevipers hissing in disagreement. He had stolen it from their nest.

Amelia stood up as she tries calm the sevipers down. But she needed help from Blade as the treecko tried to tell them that this needs to be solved in a calm way.

"Calm down, you two! Let's try to solve this calmly!" Blade says in his own language.

"Blade, ask them if they can take us to their nest so that we can solve this and see who being right and who is being wrong." Amelia says to Blade as Blade tells the sevipers while explaining that Amelia is not like other trainers.

The sevipers didn't really want to trust Amelia, but they wanted their egg back. A bit reluctantly, they turned and slithered towards the patch of grass from where the child had run, the boy wanting to just run away; however, if he did, he knew that Amelia would know right away he had taken the egg without the sevipers' approvals.

Amelia kneels down to the boy as she tries to re-assure her that it will be okay. Amelia was somewhat good as figuring out mysteries and even if it's something that's going on between someone, whether it be human or pokemon. She stands up as she gently takes the boy's hand and she & Blade follows the two sevipers to their nest.

"It's gonna be okay. Blade and I will get this solved." Amelia says as they follow the sevipers.

The two pokemon continue to lead Amelia, leading her and her pokemon to their nest. There were two eggs in the nest, a spot for a third present though it was empty. The two eggs looked almost completely identical to the one the boy held, his eyes starting to tear up. "I just want a pokemon," he cried out.

Amelia and Blade looks on in awe as they look at the two eggs in their nest, but they take notice of a third egg missing and the two eggs looks exactly like the one in the boy's bag. But Amelia still let the boy say what She needed to hear and now it all made sense. The reason the sevipers were so angry was because this boy took one of their eggs, but she also understands that thew boy wanted a pokemon of his own. This made Amelia feel torn as it wasn't right to just take an egg from a Pokemon's nest without explaining. On the other hand, this boy really wanted a Pokemon of his own.

"Well now we know what's going on. But you know it wasn't right to steal an egg from a Pokemon's nest, especially without permission." Amelia says to the boy while Blade explains to the sevipers that the boy was just wanting a pokemon.

The two sevipers looked at the child with a bit of hesitation. They weren't quite sure what to do, though after a few minutes they slithered over to the child and wrapped around his arms. They seemed to understand the child's wishes, and they figured having a home would be better than the wild. One hissed to Blade, telling him that they weren't quite sure what to do with the remaining two eggs.

Amelia and Blade takes a look at the two eggs in their nest. Amelia starts to think on what should happen with the two remaining eggs. Blade thought that they should stay with the sevipers where they belong. But then again, the eggs would also need a home. However, Amelia was thinking about taking one to take care of.

"Perhaps I could take one with me and take care of it." Amelia offers to the Sevipers as Blade tells them that his trainer loves Pokemon and that she would never mistreat them.

The sevipers looked at Blade explaining Amelia's decision. They didn't seem to mind, the boy's tears drying up as he walked over to the nest. He picked one of the eggs up and started to laugh lightly when one of the pokemon laid their head on his neck, the boy rushing from the grass immediately leaving Amelia and Blade with the third egg in the nest. Would it hatch into a seviper or something else? The answer would be a mystery for Amelia and Blade until it would hatch.

(Speaking of, how exactly do some pokemon even breed together? ._.)

Amelia waves to the boy that left before she walks over to the nest and she picks up the third egg into her arms while being very careful. Blade climbs back onto her shoulder as he looks at the egg while Amelia turns to the sevipers.

"Thank you very much, Sevipers, and don't worry. I promise to take good care of it and give it love and trust." Amelia says as she makes a promise to the Sevipers.

Amelia gently puts the egg in her bag as she lays a cloth around it so it would be nice and warm. Then Amelia turns to head back to the route as she and Blade waves to the Sevipers. Now it was back to making their way to Oldale Town for the Family favorite festival that is just a few days away.

About 3 hours later, Amelia and Blade draws nearer to Oldale Town as the sun was now starting to set. Within View, Amelia could see the town about 9 miles away. Blade took notice too as he calls out in excitement.

"Treecko! Tree!" Blade calls out.

"I see the town too! We're about nine miles away! If we get a head start, we should be there before nightfall." Amelia says.

With that, Amelia starts jogging down the road with Blade hanging on, Amelia had to make sure not to go too fast so the egg in her bag wouldn't break. They were now about 5 miles away as they draw closer to the town.

It was a race against time for Amelia; the sun was beginning to set, and it seemed reluctant to slow down as the stars and moon began to become visible. A few people were watching Amelia rushing toward the town, wondering where she was headed as she passed.

As the night starts to slowly fall, Amelia and Blade manage to make it to Oldale Town just in time as she slows down to a walk while making her way to the Pokemon Center. Where-ever she and Blade looks, they could stands and games getting set up for the festival that was a few days away. This was getting Amelia excited as she waves to the locals before arriving at the Pokemon Center and she went in. Inside, she walks up to Nurse Joy, who was a friend of her mother. Another thing about this town was it was usually the town that Amelia and her mom would come to whenever her father was busy on ranger missions.

"Hi Nurse Joy." Amelia greets as she walks up to the counter.

The nurse gave Amelia a light smile. "Hello." She bowed her head lightly in respect to the trainer. "Are you here to check in for the festival? To shop? To have your pokemon healed?"

"You ebt I'm here for festival. It's always been my family's favorite one to come to. Plus, my pokemon could use some healing." Amelia says.

Amelia places the pokeballs that has Coral and StarPearl inside while Blade jumps from Amelia's shoulder to the counter and he greeted Nurse Joy.

"Treecko." Blade calls as he greets her.

"This is blade, my very first Pokemon." Amelia says as she introduces Blade.

Amelia reaches into her bag and she pulls out the Seviper egg. She holds it while being very careful with it.

"By the way, are there any egg containers available here?" Amelia asks as she holds the egg.

The nurse took Amelia's pokeballs, setting them into a machine so the pokemon inside could be healed. She then patted Amelia's treecko gently and picked him up. "I'll check to see if we have one." She then carried the pokemon into the back to fix him up and look for a container. After about a quarter of an hour passed, she came back out with the pokemon, setting him back on the counter as she moved and gathered an egg container for Amelia.

Amelia smiles as Blade hops back onto Amelia's shoulder. Then Amelia takes out the cloth into the bottom oft he egg container and then places the egg on it before closing it.

"There we go, safe and sound." Amelia says as she carefully takes the egg container and puts it in her bag before turning back to get a room for her stay in for the festival. "So, how have you been, Nurse Joy?" Amelia asks.
