While she does much prefer using direct attacks, Raine has no issues with using status effects. She will only use Pokemon in which she deems to be strong. Raine will go out of her way to avoid the use of any Pokemon she deems inadequate

Personality: Raine is an elitist in the purest of aspects, she will go out of her way to prove that she is better than anybody and everybody. She rarely speaks up unless previous spoken to, however she can easily hold a conversation when she wants to. In the back of her mind she knows that she is better than the others when it comes to Pokemon, however that does not change the fact that she is stuck in an imperfect human body which makes mistakes. She will do whatever it takes to win a battle, not to the point of cheating but using cheap things to her advantage is never out of the question.

History: Raine as a child had been your average run of he mill girl. Going to school, trying her best to make good grades and lots of friends, the whole nine yards. Raine can remember two of her friends, they were always stuck together. Soaria and Vasco were their names. Raine's fondest memory of the three was when they had gone down to a river near town, with a picnic basket and cloth they had spent a good few hours there, watching as the multiple different Pokemon swam or walked by, the other two would point them out with interest or say something about a certain type but Raine would always think about how weak that certain "one" was. However the day had quickly ended and her parents had already arranged to leave the town, back to Violet city.

  Raine was less than excited by the journey back to her home, in fact this was probably the time when her inner thoughts were twisted into something else. Her previous school had been farther along than the current one she was in, causing her to know most of the answers where other students struggled, and she enjoyed the feeling of being better. Once she had grow in age she had taken on a particular like for her Larvitar, a present from her fathers old friend for her birthday. Instead of studying for school she decided to take on training, her grades did no drop dramatically but they were no longer perfect, however her battling skills increased more and more with each day, then week, as the years past she could easily take on all of the kids at her school, even the ones who had been battling for a year or so more than her. No matter what she fought while training she would never catch it, the other Pokemon always just seemed so weak compared to her Larvitar, she saw absolutely no reason why she would even be arsed into catching them. then she found Growlithe, not only did it present itself elegantly but it battled hard and ferociously. Even with Larvitars type advantage he was almost unable to defeat the dog like Pokemon, possibly even losing if it wernt for the Pokeball snapping itself around the red Pokemon's body, capturing it with no more than a elephants worth of struggle.

  After the battle years continued to go on, her age quickly grew and her willingness to speak to the people lower than her dispersed. As her age approached adult hood she decided to leave her boring life and prove her skills to the rest of the world, taking her Pokemon and the little money she had to start her own adventure.
