Pokemon Adventures - Episode II: A Time for Preparation!

The package ruffled a bit, but other than that it didn't seem as though anything was wrong. However, the package opened Kana's backpack, it falling out and sure enough to take something else out with it.

Kana stopped when she heard the ruffled sound from inside her backpack. She tossed her wrapper to a recycle bin nearby before she took her backpack off and she pulled the package that was falling out. Now she was curious about what was inside it. Slowly, she began to open the package as she looked inside to see what it was.

It was a box, made of delicate wood. On the sides was some weird scribbling, and on the top was a small riddle. "The one who opens me is one of great joy. The one who breaks me is one of hate. To open me is the location of prosperity."

Kana looked at the riddle with a puzzled look on her face. She wasn't sure what this riddle meant. For now, Kana just put the box back in her backpack and she put it back on while she finished up her water bottle before she tossed in the recycling bin. Then Kana went back to the Pokemon Center and she received her pokemon after they had their breakfast. Today, she only had GatorClaw and MonsterClaw out with Viho was perched on her shoulder as they make their way back to route 29 as MonsterClaw still needed training.

The box proved persistent as it shook in Kana's backpack. There was something wiggling inside of the box, perhaps as if inside a pokeball.

Viho, perched on Kana's shoulder, turned to her backpack. Viho hopped over to the opening and he hopped into it. Inside, he looked at the box that seemed to be wiggling.

'What an odd box...' Viho thought.

The box kept wiggling because of what was inside. "Hello there," a trainer said to kana, approaching from the side. "Going to train your pokemon?"

Kana turned her head to a trainer and she smiled when the trainer asked if she was gonna train her pokemon. Meanwhile, Viho tilted his head at the box that kept wiggling. Viho hopped over to it and he gently tapped it with his beak.

"yes, I am. It's mostly MonsterClaw that needs training." Kana answered

The trainer looked at Kana. "Do you mind if I observe? I've been looking for better ways to train my pokemon," he said to her. Meanwhile, the box wiggled a bit more when the pokemon poked it, the wiggling a bit more violent.

Kana smiled as she gave him a nod while Viho jumped back as he spoke to Kana in telepath.

"Kana, the box! It seems to be wiggling more violently!" Viho thought.

Kana took off her backpack as Viho hopped out before pulling the box out and she sat it on the ground. GatorClaw and MonsterClaw gathered around the box as they watched it wiggle.

'I think something might be inside it. Like a pokemon." Viho thought again.

"A pokemon inside a box?" Kana wondered.

The box kept wiggling onwards, the shaking becoming more violent as time passed. The top part of the small paragraph seemed to scratch out, leaving just one more line about being opened in a location of prosperity.

"Location of prosperity...Where would that be?" Kana wondered.

Viho shrugged his shoulders as he stared at the box. Kana looked over at the trainer that was still there.

"Hey...are you good with riddles?" Kana asked.

"Not necessarily," the trainer said to Kana. "Why? Is something wrong," he then questioned. "Is it about that box? You've been staring at it for the past few minutes as though it were a celebrity."

"Well Viho here said that a pokemon might be inside this box and the last part of this riddle says "Location of prosperity." I actually have know idea what that location would be." Kana replied.

Viho hopped closer to the box so he could listen for any signs of life inside the box.

It seemed as though a small chirp came from within the box, or whatever was inside the box. "Perhaps it's a bird that got lost," the trainer said to kana. "I'm not sure, but whoever is pulling the prank isn't very funny."

"But why would someone put a pokemon inside a box and then en-craved the top with a riddle? It makes no sense." Kana said.

Kana continues to stare at the box while trying to figure out where the location of prosperity would be. This was confusing to her, but she was curious as to what kind of pokemon would be inside this box.

"Perhaps the pokemon is a bit stronger than normal pokemon," the trainer proposed. "Or perhaps a rarer pokemon. You won't know until you can open the box."

"But in order to open it, we need to go to a location of prosperity. I have no clue where that might be there." Kana said.

The totodiles looked at each other before looking back at the box as Viho perched back on Kana's shoulder.

'A location of prosperity...' Viho thought.

"Well, it's a good thought to know the definition of prosperity; success [there is more, but...]," the trainer said to Kana. "So the location of success. It could be a metaphor for anywhere, that some task you can do can make it open. However, it could refer to a location where success is big... That's all I have to say."
