The Beginning of it All

The dog pokemon and the bird pokemon continued to run, it obvious the bird was chasing the other down angrily. It was a pidgey, and it wasn't too pleased.

Pidgey - Lvl 6 - Female - 3 Hits Remain

'I feel bad for the dog pokemon," Terra sighed in her head as she kept running, detremined to get her bag back. It was obvious that the Pidgey would not stop, if she could stop the Pidgey then the dog Pokemon would relax and give Terra her stuff! "Okay Growlithe use, Wild Charge on that Pidgey!" Growlithe geared up his power, running running and running until sparks flew around him and with a yellowish glow, he bolted right at the Pidgey.

The pidgey was too focused on chasing the pokemon down to notice that it was about to be attacked. When it hit, the pokemon fell down, the dog pokemon continuing to run a bit before it noticed that it wasn't being chased anymore and settled down.

"Growlithe!" Terras Growlithe let out a sharp growl as Terra slowly paced towards him. She stopped beside him and stared right at the Pidgey. "Looks like its another battle for us," She grinned at the Pidgey. "Now Growlithe use ember!" While Growlithe started to spew Pidgey with flames, Squirtle snuck behind them and went over to the dog. He started to unhook the backpack from the dogs tail to get it back for Terra.

The pidgey burned a bit, eventually getting up and starting to flap it's wings. It flew high up, preparing to attack whilst staying out of the way of another attack. Meanwhile, the dog pokemon didn't seem to have a problem, and after the backpack was free, it ran off.

Terra watched the Pidgey get higher and higher in the air and getting ready to attack. But she knew what she wanted to do, she wanted to catch that Pidgey. The local trainers had them and the strength they showed at times were remarkable. She grabbed a spare pokeball, pressed the small button and let it enlarge. As the bird got ready to attack Terra shouted a command. "Growlithe, dodge!" While Squirtle grabbed her backpack after the dog pokemon left and dragged it over to Terra.

The pidgey flew down, almost about to attack before the pokemon dodged and it hit the ground. It got up, shaking it's heqd preparing to fly again.

"This is it," Terra whispered to herself and as the Pidgey got up she threw the pokeball. It hit Pidgey and a beam of red light shot out. It encased the Pidgey and sucked it in. Terra held her breath, ready for the moment of truth.

[[Note of caution, it is always possible a pokemon could dodge a pokeball ;3]]

The pokeball shook a couple of times, though it stopped momentarily. Was the pidgey going to be caught? The ball started shaking, thoug hit looked like it was taking a moment, as the pidgey had begun struggling, not wanting to be caught by a trainer.

Terra grinded her teeth, locking eyes with the ball. Was it going to catch it, would she get a Pidgey and capture her first pokemon?

The pokeball did the last click, and the pidgey was captured. Nickname?

When the last click echoed through the air, Terra threw up her hands in a fit of joy. She went over and picked up the ball all while beaming at the ball. It was her official first capture and Terra felt good about it. She hugged it close to her chest before throwing it up into the air. “Come on out Pidgey,” She said as the ball let loose the small bird pokémon. With a swipe of her hand she caught the poke ball and placed it back onto her belt. Pidgey fell down to her shoulders and kept a content look on her face. Growlithe and Squirtle waved their paws from the ground in greeting. “I guess we should get going, I bet you are all hungry,” Her pokémon cried in respond as Terra set out back onto the path.

When Terra got back to the original spot she had found, she slung off her backpack and instantly went digging for the items needed while her pokémon trolled around. Her hands grasped the necessary items and pulled them out. A grey container holding the portions of poke food she needed to the trip to the next town and a plastic container of sandwiches and a cup of juice for one solid lunch. Alongside she brought out a plate and one bowl before dumping the food from the container into the bowl. “Come on guys, food is ready.” Her pokémon dashed over to the bowl, Growlithe and Squirtle started to rapidly eat while Pidgey wavered on the side, pecking at the food. “Guess you have already eaten before this?” Terra asked Pidgey as she pulled her sandwich out of the plastic container and placing it down on the plate. Pidgey looked up and acknowledged her question with a shake of her head.

The four ate in silence for a while. Pidgey was the first done and Squirtle and Growlithe followed. When Terra was done she packed up the plates and bowls and placed them carefully back into the backpack. “So I was thinking, how about we do some training before we take off?” She asked. All her pokémon nodded their head, she eyed Growlithe first. “How about we start with you Growlithe,” Growlithe nodded. “Let’s see what we can do,” She looked over Growlithe as she scratched her chin. Pidgey and Squirtle went to her side.

“ I know, lets try Wild Charge! I know you already did good when you tired it last time but we should power it up some more,” Terra decided, Growlithe took his place in front of her and waited for the instructions. “Now run and use Wildcharge!” Terra commanded,[ training starts around here for Growlithe] Growlithe started off strong and kept running, reaching full speeds until the yellow hue started over him and sparks began to gather. “Good job!” Terra called out, Growlithe came to a running stop. “Okay, that was pretty good but we have to get it more powerful. More power behind it, try to focus on creating the electricity surrounding your body,” Terra instructed, Growlithe nodded and took off once more. This time more electricity started to appear over him and a golden color started to engulf his body, but it ran off shortly. “Great that was even better!” Growlithe stamped his foot and smiled a triumph smile. “Now we just need to get that to last longer, let’s try it one more time,” Terra decided. Growlithe took a deep breath and launched himself forward, he ran faster and quicker this time until the golden color engulfed his body once again and electricity circled his body. A second later and a bright circle grew around his body, Growlithe ran quicker and slammed into a tree. The tree shock wildly before coming to a stop, Growlithe backed off and breathed in heavier. “Wow!” Terra exclaimed, Growlithe turned around and gave her a grin staggered over to her. When he got to her he ducked his head and collapsed onto the ground, [ ends here for Growlithe ]Terra smiled and patted him. “You did great, soon you will be able to do that instantly,” She snapped her fingers in an example. Terra stood back up to face Pidgey who hovered in the air in front of her. “Let’s get some training done for you.”

Pidgey flipped around in the air, “I never did see your tackle so much in our small battle we had earlier, think you can demonstrate that?”[ training starts here for Pidgey] Pidgey nodded her head and flew a little further away. Pidgey hovered for a moment before flying down, wings tucked in and bashing into an imaginary enemy. “So that’s how you do it…” Terra thought for a moment. “I know! But I don’t know if this will work… Squirtle use Ice beam on the ground, create it into a block. And Growlithe use just a little bit of ember to soften it just a bit.” Both of them nodded. Squirtle used ice beam and created a tall and width block, when he was done. Growlithe let loose a tiny flame that hit the ice, making it not so hard. “Now Pidgey what I want you to do is tackle that ice block, it will be softer so try your best.” Pidgey nodded and flew up into the air, she dove back down , wings tucked in and crashed into the ice block. A small crack appeared and Pidgey rallied back, shaking her head. “Try again!” Terra encouraged from the side. Pidgey flew back up and dove back down, hitting the block again. Another small crack appeared, once more Pidgey flew back up and used tackle. Crashing back into the ice and making another crack, “Growlithe try to make it a little softer,” Terra commanded. She could see Pidgey getting annoyed but looked ready to hit it again, Growlithe let out a couple more until water started to drip off the ice. “Okay Pidgey!” Terra called out. Pidgey flew up a little higher this time then processed to tuck her wings in before diving down to hit the ice block. Bigger cracks appeared and the block shook. “That’s good now Pidgey,” But Pidgey shook her head and went once more, this time hitting the block along the edge where a cracks had gathered. She was able to knock a chunk off. “I think that’s enough for now Pidgey but you did very good,” Terra commented before going over, Pidgey flew over to her shoulders and relaxed.[ training ends here for Pidgey ] “Growlithe please finish off that ice block.”

“Growlithe,” He responded before opening his mouth and letting small fireballs erupt out, melting the softened ice block in a few moments.

“Growlithe, Pidgey, Squirtle. I’m going to give you three a rest for a now,” She took out the pokeballs and tapped each of her pokémon in session. None of them resisted and gladly went back in. Terra processed to put them back onto her belt. She went over and grabbed her backpack and slung it back onto her back before making her way over to the main route and starting down on it. Soon she would be in the next city, but maybe she would encounter some more things on her way.

Terra glanced up at the sky while she was walking. The sun was still bright as ever on a nice day like this. She guessed she had about six to seven more hours of sunshine so she pressed on. Pacing herself through out the route, wondering what would happen next along the trail.

A small pokemon crossing occurred, the pokemon continued to cross the path and block the trainer from getting passed. There were a few other trainers on the other side, amazed at how many pokemon there were.

Terra stopped and looked around as a pokemon crossing occurred. She looked for a way to get around it but saw none, her eyes went forward and she saw a few other trainers. "Hello?" She called out.

The other trainers looked across at the one calling to them. All they did was wave, not knowing exactly what she had said, the wideness of the pokemon crossing pretty large.

Terra stopped waving and resumed watching the large gathering of Pokemon. "How am I going to get across?" She said aloud. Carefully she placed one foot at the tip of the gathering where the pokemon walked.

Terra may as well move her foot. Pokémon started running into it and rerouting as they found out the foot was in their way. "Don't move," the trainers called to her, hoping that she would hear them.

Terra stopped and quickly looked up and motioned the trainers. "What is it?" She called out.

The trainers didn't really hear her. They heard her echo though. "Don't try to cross! They'll stampede you," the trainers called to her, hoping she would hear.

Terras eyes opened at their distance message, she instantly pulled her foot back and stood at the side. "Oh erm... What am I suppose to do then?" She called back.

The trainers looked at each other and shrugged. "Well, isn't that obvious," a professor asked from behind Terra. "You have to wait for the pokemon to stop." The professor walked up, holding a clipboard and a pen as if she had been writing on it. "It isn't normal that you get to see something like this. Isn't the sight amazing," she asked, pulling out her pokedex and scanning the pokemon that were walking.
