The 7th gym

Rampardos decided to keep charging. "Use one more ancient power!" says Doragon as Rampardos fires rocks at Arcanine, charging still.

Arcanine charged with it's own Take Down, smashing through the rocks, taking damage, nevertheless. Arcanine continued to dash at Rampardos, countering with it's own powerful Take Down attack.

Rampardos got hit but didn't take alot of damage, but still looked weak from damage. "Ok Rampardos, use crunch!" says Doragon as Rampardos raised its head, then lowered it to take a bite into Arcanine.

The recoil and the damage from the charge of Rampardos left Arcanine in a similar state. Weak. Snarling to gain it's feet, it swerved around a bit before suddenly crashing to the ground. With Rampardos on top. Snarling at how it could let a Crunch land on it, it fired a Fire Blast and close range before scrabbling away from underneath the Head Butt pokemon.

Rampardos was weakened, as Doragon smiled. It was as if Doragon had a plan for Rampardos being weak. "Let's try to finish this, go, Zen Headbutt!" says Doragon, as Rampardos charged his glowing head at the Arcanine, as it was obvious Rampardos was running off rage, and nothing else.

Arcanine retaliated with it's Take Down, both receiving and dishing out damage. As the two attacks connected, it erupted and a lot of dust was spurned. As the dust cleared, Arcanine was quivering. Trembling, it staggered a bit and teetered around but did not fall.

Rampardos fell down, trying to get up as Doragon sighed, returning Rampardos. "Return Rampardos, you did fine." says Doragon as he takes out a new pokeball and sends it out. "Go Garchomp!" says Doragon as Garchomp comes out, strong and ready to battle.

Arcanine whimpered as Blaine extracted his last Full Restore. Spraying it on his pokemon, he retired with the sigh of the weary. With a command, it used Fire Blast.

Garchomp got struck, but didn't show any damage, hiding it to keep his strong look. "Use Sandstorm" says Doragon as Garchomp roars, wind blowing all around him, sand coming up and surronding the whole room in a thick sand storm. "This is where the combo for Garchomp starts."

Arcanine's thick fur blew wildly in the storm as it struggled to keep it's footing. It was buffeted by the sand as it released another Fire Blast.

Garchomp, its evasiveness raised by the wind, from natural resistance to such, dodged the fire blast and rushed in towards Arcanine. "Use Dragon Claw!" says Doragon, watching the images barely as Garchomp dove in for a Dragon Claw towards Arcanine.

Brushing the sand from it's eyes, Arcanine was too caught up when the attack landed. Yelping, it crashed further, stirring up more sand. "Sand...that's it! Arcanine! Beneath you!" At the command, Arcanine loosed a blast of fire at the sand, for a moment it was transferred into a sea of molten glass before it cooled into wild wave shapes. Nevertheless slippery, the nuance of sand was gone. Grinning as canines will, it looked another stream of fire at Garchomp.

Garchomp got nailed by the fire in the chest, panting and barely standing up after the torrent of flames hit him, but this Garchomp was a manly Garchomp, ready to handle a pokemon or two. Garchomp rushed at the Arcanine without hesitation, and used Crunch on the Arcanine, disregarding any worries, and more determined to be like the shark dragon he was, and bite anything in his way.

Arcanine slipped and slided on the glass, but had better grip than on sand. On sand, it was like you give 100% on running, but distance wise, get only 5%. Not so for the Garchomp. Arcaine lunged side ways, avoiding the Crunch, but lost his footing as he landed. Unsteady, it released another Fire Blast at Garchomp.

Garchomp got side smacked by the fire blast, but fire doesn't really do a lot to him, so he quickly recovered, and rushed towards the unsteady Arcanine, using Dragon Claw on it swiftly, while it was still in range for it to be hard to dodge.

The Dragon Claw struck, and Arcanine cried out as the powerful attack tore through it's fur. Shking it's ruffled and mangled fur, it growled savagely at Garchomp before releasing another Fire Blast.

Garchomp took this one again, getting even more mad, but tired, as the fire damage started to sink in and become noticeable, but Garchomp was no wuss, he kept going, using his close range to use crunch, having the range advantage against Arcanine. "Keep it up, Garchomp!"

Arcanine was pinned by the Crunch, and releasing one intimidating growl, opened it's maw and released a strong flurry of Fire Blast, at close range.

Garchomp got pretty weak now, because the fire blasts up in this joint, they're crazy, but then took advantage of the pinned Arcanine to use another Dragon Claw, before the Arcanine could get out of the crunch, which was now loosened.

Arcanine's eyes widened as the Dragon Claw found it's mark. With a final, eerie howl, it fainted.

(Oh God. XD Now I have to read it again to see who fought what.)

(Um, your trainer link no longer works so can you send me the new link? Also, I have an inkling I already added 42 exp from Growlithe in Garchomp's app...anyway.)

Doragon returned Garchomp and sighed, letting Garchomp rest, relieved that he won. "Well, I guess I won, do I get my badge and TM now?" said Doragon, walking to Blaine.

"Yes yes." Blaine strode over and handed him the required materials. Then he also dished over some money and retreated to the depths of the gym.

Doragon walked off and smiled, excited. "Yes! Now just one more gym, and we've done all the gyms in the Kanto reigion!" said Doragon, seeming to be massively excited and jumping around. Doragon then decided to go to nurse joy and get his pokemon healed, looking around for something to do before he left, feeling Cinnabar was a bit too quick, and he should enjoy himself, and celebrate.

Nurse Joy was there, tapping deftly into her computer. Spotting the trainer walking in, she turned to serve him. "Hello. How may I help you?"

"Yes uhm, can you please heal my pokemon?" says Doragon as he smiles and hands her his pokeballs. Doragon was still deciding what to do, thinking, but stayed there for the usual yes.
