Trip to Turnback Cave

After many days of traveling on her Druddigon's back, Artemis was finally glad to rest. They had started their trip in Unova and flown across the ocean to finally reach Sinnoh. With luck, she would soon have her second legendary Pokemon.

Artemis threw a Pokeball into the air, and out burst a Gardevoir, who joined the Druddigon's side. Both looked at the Masterball attached to their trainer's belt questioningly, and she took it off. "Mine as well see how your newest teammate will act," Artemis said, throwing the ball into the air.

Our burst a Reshiram, but one with gold rings and red eyes, it was a lesser known legend, and one that Artemis had pursued and captured. The Pokemon seemed to have calmed down after the time spent in the ball, because it was no longer fighting or even glaring at its new master. Hesitantly, Artemis put her hand on the great beast. "There Lykouleon, is this so bad?" The legend didn't answer, but the calm beat of its heart felt through her hand was a 'yes' enough for her.

A rustling noise caught Artemis's attention, and she turned to investigate.

Kitty had gotten lost again. Her, Sis and Baby brother had been playing and running around and now had no idea where they were. Baby brother had gotten tired awhile back so she was carrying the shinx while Sis was puffed up flying in the sky looking around trying to spot the rest of their 'family'. "Mommy!" Kitty hollers hoping the ninetails would be able to hear her. "Mommy where are you!"

Artemis heard a child's voice calling for her mom, and something inside her, perhaps a sort of motherly instinct, caused her to want to help the kid. She started following the sound of the calling voice. Her Gardevoir, Tinlet, and her Druddigon, Deus, followed close behind. Reshiram remained where it stood, wearily watching where they were going, but not following itself.

Rushing to the sound of the voice, Artemis saw a child, who looked a little less than 10 years old, holding a Shinx and calling out for her mom. Walking forward, Artemis stepped into her view. "Are you lost little one?' she asked.

"Uh huh. We were playing and I don't know where Mommy is anymore." Kitty says answering the stranger's question. Big Sis floats back down to see what was going on. "Jigglypuff" Big Sis says saying hi in pokemon.

(Going to be funny when she finds out who 'Mommy' is XD)

Artemis nodded, and gave a smile to the Jigglypuff. Both Tinlet and Deus said their own Pokemon hellos to Jigglypuff, and Shinx as well.

"Do you need any help finding your mommy, I could help you look if you'd like," Artemis didn't like the sound of a child wandering around by herself, and finding her mom seemed like the right thing to do.

"Would you really? Thanks miss." Kitty says cheering up a bit. Baby Brother was asleep so he couldn't answer the other pokemon. Jigglypuff seeing things were alright puffs up floaing back into the air to look

"What does she look like, so my Pokemon and I have a clue of what to look for?" Artemis asked kindly. She was glad to be able to help this kid, and the faster it was done, the faster she could begin her hunt for Giratina.

"Well her hair is silver and she's big." Kitty says because to her the ninetails was a big pokemon. And she really didn't know the difference betweenfur and hair. "And she's really pretty."

"Ok," Artemis replied, "I can work with that. Deus, will you see if you could spot her from the skies, and Tinlet, will you search psychically?" Both Pokemon nodded, and within seconds, Deus launched himself into the air. Artemis continues looking with the girl, but there was no sign of another human being. This made her kind of furious, as no person should have to live without a mom, especially not someone that young, she knew what it was like to no have a family, and she wasn't about tolet this girl go through that.

((She doesn't know just how similar their predicaments are XD))

(And she's about to find out who 'Mommy' is XD)

"Jigglypuff!" Jigglypuff says from the air before coming back down. "Jigglypuff Jigglypuff!" it seemed excited about something. "You found Mommy?" Kitty asks and the Jigglypuff shakes it's head yes pointing in a direction. It wasn't long after there's a rustling and soon a shiny ninetails appears. "Mommy!" Kitty says running to it and hugging it, nearly dropping the shinx in the process. On the ninetails's back was a kirlia

"Where's your mommy?" Artemis asked, confused. All she saw were Pokemon that obviously knew the girl. The strange colored Ninetales caught her eye, but she was more curious as to where the girl's mom was. Expecting woman to follow the Pokemon, Artemis awaited more rustling to sound.

There wasmore rustlng but all that came out was a umbreon. "Big Brother" Kitty laughs hugging it to. "Kirlia kirlia." the Kirlia semed to be fussing at the girl picking a few leaves out of Kitty's hair that had gotten stuck while she had been playing. "Big Sis, stop it." Kitty complains trying to get the Kirlia to stop this time really drpping the shinx. Luckily it had woken up by this point and landed on it's feet

"Big Brother..." Artemis trailed off a bit confused. Though who was she to question how a kid sees their Pokemon, perhaps that's just her replacement for imaginary friends. A Pokemon family. She had to admit that was kind of cute, and she smiled slightly.

"I'm glad your Pokemon found you, but we should probably search for your mommy before it gets dark."

"Silly, Mommy is right here." Kitty says hugging the ninetails again and scrambling on it's back. "Thanks for helping me find Mommy." Kitty says hugging the ninetails again from it's back. Jigglypuff hops up it front of her while kirlia jumps on behind (Kitty is small XD)

"Your...mommy...here...?" Artemis seemed very confused, and she just sort of stood staring at the girl on the Ninetales. She seemed to mutter some stuff under her breath before saying, "I'm, erm, glad to help." With Tinlet and Deus back by her side, it was probably wise to go make sure Reshiram hasn't caused too much destruction in its first moment of freedom.

She turned away from the girl, and started heading back to the cave entrance. With Pokemon around her, the little girl shouldn't be in too much danger. Maybe her real mom will find her, or her Pokemon 'family' will take her to her real one. Artemis had other things to worry about.

((She just doesn't get it XD))

Kitty jumps down noticing the other girl was confused about her family. She tugs on her hand to get the girl's attention and starts pointing out her pokemon as she named them. "Baby Brother" she says pointing to the shinx. "Sister" she says pointing at the jigglypuff. "Big Sister" she says pointing at the kirlia who bows. "Big Brother" she says pointing to the umbreon. "And Mommy" she says pointing to the silver ninetails who ducks her head in greating. "And I'm Kitty" Kitty says laughing and pointing to herself

"Oh, hello Kitty and family," Artemis said after the introduction. "I'm Artemis, and you could say my family is here as well. This is Tinlet," her Gardevoir did a graceful curtsy, "And this is Deus," her Druddigon simply did a small nod. "I have another friend as well, but he's waiting over by a cave." Or at least she hoped Reshiram had remained where she left him. "It's nice to meet you all." She was still a bit confused, but it seemed this child actually believed her Pokemon to be her family.

"Well let's go then. Can we mommy?" Kitty asks the ninetails who nods so she climbs on it's back between the jigglypuff and kirlia again. "Yah" Kitty says asthe ninetails starts walking after Artemis. The Shinx follows staying close the the ninetails, the Umbreon stayed a bit farther away but still following

Artemis lead the way back to the entrance of Turnback Cave, and it was there her Reshiram remained, somewhat leaning against the rocky wall. He didn't seem all to happy, but he had stayed and waited for his trainer. It was a start. "This is my other, er, family member. His name is Lykouleon, and he's kinda like your, er, mommy. At least in the way that he is a different color than the well known Reshiram of legend. "

She put her hand against the beast's warm fur, and somehow felt reassured and energized. "Would you like to come with us in the cave, we're searchingg for another Pokemon to join our family."

"He's huge." Kitty says craning her neck a bit to look up at the big pokemon. "And I thought Mommy was big."
The ninetails flicks her ears back and forth not quite sure how to take that comment, in the end figuring she was just a kid so it didn't matter. "So what's in the cave?" Kitty asks looking curiously at the cave

"They say a big, strong Pokemon Giratina lives here. I want to catch him, but they say the inside of this cave is like a maze, and if you don't hurry, then you end up back at the entrance." Artemis replied. Lykouleon's eyes seem to shine at this statement, he seemed to want a challenge, and another legendary Pokemon would be a worthy opponent.

He eagerly stepped toward the cave, and awaited his trainer to follow. Artemis stepped beside him along with Deus and Tinlet. "Are you coming?" she asked the girl.

"Yah! A cave I can't get lost in." Kitty says excited nearly jumping off the ninetails but the pokemon moves forward seeming to prefer keeping the child on her back if the were going in the cave. Umbreon had moved forward to sniff at the reshirm not quite sure what to make of the pokemon though didn't seem to care how much bigger it was. Shinx was sticking at the ninetales's feet

"Alright then, we'd better get started." Artemis said. Reshiram looked down to the curious Umbreon and ignored him, he wasn't worth the bother (He's so mean XP). The group of people and Pokemon set forth into the cave, once inside, they were met by the sight of a tremendous pillar going all the way to the celing. There were also three available paths to choose from: one continuing forward, one to the left, and another to the right.

"Well crap," Artemis said, "which one should we take?"

"March march marching along." Kitty laughs as the ninetails just walks straight foward the shinx still a it's feet. The umbreon sees and hurries to catch up with them. "Comeon miss, you never knw till yo try." Kitty says looking back at them

Artemis sighed, but the kid's enthusiasm was quite contagious. She smiled slightly before finally deciding and stating, "The left can't fail us, let's go that way." She speedily headed to the path to the left, then glanced back to make sure Kitty and her family were following. It wouldn't be good if they got separated and took different paths.
