Something To Look For! [SHADOW ONLY]

OOC: Haven't done a Trainer Battle Yet. We'll see how this goes.

A female trainer that had been aimlessly walking around for hours, appearing to be lost, noticed Ace and his pokemon right away. Seeing as this was the first person she had seen in who knows how long she ran over to him. "Hey! Are you a trainer too! We should battle!" She motioned behind her and soon her two pokemon came running out. A Buneary and a Cyndaquil, both of which seemed scared of the larger pokemon in front of them. "So, what do you say?" The all too perky girl asked.

Cyndaquil ♂ (Lvl 12)

"I'm Anabelle! It's nice to meet you! I really like you're pokemon! Anyway, here goes! You're up Buneary!" The Buneary hopped forward hesitantly, still a little frightened of the newcomers. Still, she put trust in her trainer and readied herself for battle. "Buneary use pound on the Scyther!" The buneary looked at her trainer like she was crazy but sprung forward anyway, her arm drawn back as she aimed her strike.

Buneary uses Pound on Blade!

Blade saw the attack coming. "Counter with a Vacuum Wave!" commanded Ace. The Bug Pokemon would counter it by swiping his... scythes unleashing a flurry of rapid slashes as he walk towards the Buneary almost colliding with her. Mega's on the back of Ace smiling at the match but is sort of embarrassed by how him and Blade acted a while ago. They were making jokes but they end up getting praised now so he learned some sort of a lesson: No being mean.

"Buneary, protect yourself using defense curl!" The buneary would curl itself into a ball while in mid air, still taking the hits but reducing the damage taken by increasing her own defense. The attack still did a good chunk of damage though as Buneary was thrown back. "Oh, oh no! Buneary get back up and use pound again!" The Buneary struggled to her feet, this time running towards the Scyther and aiming for his legs.

The girl grew panicked when she saw the scyther easily dodge her Buneary's attack. She grew worried when it went at her with another Vacuum Wave. Anabelle thought on her toes again. "Buneary use Endure! Then Pound once the attacks stop!" Buneary braced herself for impact, taking the best precaution to make sure she could still hang on by a thread. She felt the blades collide with her and whimpered out each time. Anabelle felt for her pokemon, but when the Scyther's hits stopped she would see Buneary, barely managing to stay up, use pound, if the scyther was still in close range.

1st Move: Endure
2nd Move: Pound

Blade was quite surprised by the determination and sacrifice of his foe. After finishing attack, he let his guard down worrying for his foe but then he got hit by the Buneary in the face with a Pound! It didn't hurt that much but it did some damage. "Shouldn't have let your guard down, Blade. I'd have mercy for your Pokemon but a battle is a battle therefore, foes should be beaten. Quick Attack!" said Ace. Blade would then stay in his position but quickly bump Buneary with his shoulders.

OOC: Well, It's two moves, but quickly follow one another. More anime style than game. Kinda. I've seen it done in some other posts and no one's commented on it, I just thought it was allowed? I can ask if you'd like. Either way Buneary was toast so it was mostly just out of desperation.

The Buneary felt the impact of the Quick Attack almost instantly. She flew back aways, landing near her trainer, unable to continue battling. Anabelle sighed. "Buneary, return." Buneary was placed back into her pokeball and Anabelle looked at her Cyndaquil. "Alright, boy, your turn. Ace you can go first if you'd like." She needed to think this one through a bit more.

Buneary has fainted. Blade gains 9 exp."

OOC: Nah, you don't have to ask. If that's the case then I guess it's okay. Sorry for the late reply, was chatting. :P

Blade saw the little Cyndaquil and quickly flew back to Ace. "Well then... Blade, beside me. Mega, you're up. Bite!" commanded Ace. Blade walked back and stood beside Ace as he tapped Ace in the shoulder giving him a good luck. Mega got a huge grin on his face as the Pokemon laughed and ran towards the Cyndaquil with its jaw wide open ready to bite yet another smaller foe.

"Cyndaquil, dodge it and use smokescreen!" The small fire mouse pokemon scurried away from the large rampaging pokemon just before the jaws would catch him. Sometimes being small had it's advantages. He managed to roll himself over to face the foe, then let off a large amount of smoke, lightly covering the area. Perhaps giving them an edge?

Cyndaquil uses Smokescreen!

OOC: Can Anabelle even hear the pokemon? I wasn't sure O.o

Anabelle was nearly bouncing at this point. That had worked! But then the question stopped her for a second and she smiled. "Oh, I don't know really. Cyndaquil never has his eyes open. Random aim, maybe?" Because that answer was reassuring. "Cyndaquil, wherever you are, use ember!" The cyndaquil, not necessarily needing to see where he was aiming shot out a small blaze of fire in the general direction of Mega. Although Anabelle still wasn't positive whether the aim would be accurate or not.

OOC: You fell into my trap. :D

As the smoke slowly clear out, Mega hears a flame behind him after the command. "Looks like you missed." said Mega with a taunting voice as he ran towards the direction where he somewhat saw the flame coming when the smoke cleared out a bit. He runs and kept swiping at thin air with Scratch hoping to hit the Cyndaquil and not miss like it did.

The Cyndaquil didn't know what to think when it felt Mega's claws hit it's side. At least it wasn't entirely direct. It almost seemed like the Cyndaquil had let out a little sqeak as a result, which tipped of Anabelle to his location. "Cyndaquil! Use tackl now while he's still near you!" "Quil!" the fire type would almost instantly shake off the last attack it had taken and run at Mega full force, hoping to return the favor.

Anabelle jumped with joy as she saw her little Cyndaquil land a hit. She was so happy she wasn't exactly paying attention to the fight. When she next looked back she saw Cyndaquil in Mega's huge maw. "Well....that's not good." Anabelle tilted her head in worry and thought about what she could do considering her time from probably was about... two seconds before her Cyndaquil got crushed or eaten. "Cyndaquil! Hurry, use ember on his jaw so you can get free!" The cyndaquil, wishing to listen to his trainer the best he could, would lower his head and attempt to hit Mega's jaw. Though would it be too far out of his reach or would he still be able to manage it? Anabelle crossed her fingers.

OOC: sorry this is a bit late. Things have been kinda hectic.

"Oh! Oh no! Did he get hurt too badly? I'm sorry, I just didn't want my Cyndaquil to be eaten!" Anabelle, always one to worry about the safety of a pokemon over anything else, would remain focused on the fact that her cyndaquil had really seemed to hurt Mega. Her cyndaquil had been dropped to the ground and didn't seem to be in any better condition. It was apparent the bite had really hurt him. "You're hurt too. This isn't good." Anabelle seemed to have wasted any time she might have been given to counter with another attack. The cyndaquil stood, wincing in pain every once in a while, but turned to Mega, waiting for an order that Anabelle was too concerned with their health to give.

OOC: If you're busy and it's getting in the way then I'd be happier if you take a break for a while and continue whenever you can. :) Anyways, thanks.

Mega licked the burned part but that does not mean he is in the Burned condition. He licked it trying to put some water to ease the too much warm. Ace looked at the foe Trainer. "Yeah Mega, can you still fight? You can always take a break and let Scyther do it and if he loses, well we just have to accept it." said Ace concerned for his Pokemon. "Hey... Anabelle was it? I'd like to ask you to ask your Cyndaquil if he can still fight but it looks like he still can but your decision anyway." he said turning his eyes back to his Druddigon. "I can fight. It's just a scratch. In fact, am just starting to enjoy this match and I gotta get used to pains like this. More are yet to come in the future." said Mega who seems to boast but is actually just cheering himself up. He takes a stance and waits for his command. "Not attacking yet, Anabelle. You sure your Cyndaquil won't get too much? Don't get me wrong, am not boasting." said Ace getting concerned as well. He thinks he is sort of exaggerating but that's just him.

Blade stood beside Ace and looked at his ally with a smile. "Tough nut to crack 'eh?" he said. Mega just smiled at the cheer of his ally.

OOC: Well thanks :) that's really nice of you! I'll try to post whenever I get the chance!

Anabelle looked back at her cyndaquil and kneeled so she could see him better. "Cyndaquil, do you wanna stop? It's ok if you do. I won't think any less of you." In response to his trainer's question, Cyndaquil hightened the intensity of his flames on his back. "Quil!!!" It seemed he did want to finish. Guess that was like him, he would finish this fight even if he lost. "Alright, if you're in this, I am. Let's just do our best!" Anabelle nodded back at Ace and smiled. "Alright, it looks like he wants to keep going. Don't hold back." Anabell stood and pointed at Mega. "Cyndaquil, let's hit him with a leer!" Cyndaquil stood up just ever so slightly on his hind quarters and opened his eyes, staring Mega down to both try to intimidate him, which was hard to accomplish for such a small thing, and to really show he wanted to continue.

Mega respected the determination of his foes. He smiled as he let the Leer lower his defense status. "I admire your determination. You've earned my respect and sorry for being boastful earlier." said Mega. Ace smiled at the foe Trainer as a good luck. "Okay, Mega. You took that bullet now you're at a big disadvantage. Hone Claws!" he said. Mega's claws shone as he swipe in the air. Mega's attack increased! "It's all up to our offense now. Anabelle, come and get us!" he said going for a friendly taunt.

Anabell smiled at that. "Thank you, Mega, that's nice of you to say." So it really was going to be an all out fight. Alrighty then. "Here we go! Cyndaquil let's go right for it with a tackle!" Cyndaquil kicked at the ground with it's hind leg, giving him some running leverage before bolting right at Mega, determination written all over his expression.

"She falls easily for traps..." Ace thought. She wasn't expecting the Trainer to actually take that chance and attack. Mega swiftly jumped high allowing Cyndaquil to somewhat pass through. As Mega landed behind the Cyndaquil... "SCRATCH! LET'S FINISH THIS!" he shouted as Mega smiled. His jaws opening up wide as he let out a growl, his claws heading straight towards the Cyndaquil for a scratch! If it hits, Cyndaquil will get damaged a lot because of the attack stat boost.

OOC: Take note the "growl" is not to be confused with the Pokemon Move. It's just a growl of nothingness.
