Something which might have been a small hint of smile appeared on Tom's face. "Welcome I guess," greeted he his new pokemon with a shrug. He then stood up and looked at the lake, then the pokeball, and then the lake again. Tom put the pokeball back to his belt and turned around mumbling, "I wanna sleep." Beldum wasn't obviously happy about the decision and imminently tried to crash into the boy. After all he had decided to fish something strong and big not just a lousy Feebas. Tom reacted to the attack rather bluntly. He simply punched Beldum right in the eye which seemed to make the pokemon really wobbly. After that the boy returned Beldum back into it's ball. "Feebas has potential too," commented the boy and started searching for a place to sleep.
[Now comes training post for Beldum.]
It was rather late in the evening. Tom wanted to go to sleep, just like he had wanted to the entire day, but Beldum seemed to have other plans. No matter when the boy closed his eyes for some sleep Beldum attempted to crash into him using Take Down. Over time the boy became really pissed and actually even knocked out the Beldum several times but the pokemon always seemed to find it's way back to it's trainer. The pokemon had only one goal which was to train with it's trainer which up till now seemed to work rather well. Without even realizing it Tom was constantly training his Beldum by fighting with it, whether it was physical or mental.
Tom was really lazy boy by nature and he just couldn't take it that someone such as Beldum, who should normally follow his commands, would bother his sleep like that. It was not like Tom wasn't used to the fact that his sleep was bothered all the time. After all his sister would try to pretty much kill him every time he tried to get little sleep, even if it was at midnight. No matter what he did he couldn't stop his sister and it seemed like he also couldn't stop his Beldum either.
It seemed like once again Beldum had found it's trainer. This time it had been in middle of a lake. Tom was quitly drifting inside a small boat but once again his perfect plan seemed to fail. It was already seventh today. He was rather surprised by the fact that Beldum managed to recover so really quickly and always managed to find him. It seemed like there really was no way to stop the Beldum from wanting his training. Tom stood up in the boat, skillfully holding his balance, and sighted, "Well, Bell, Alright, I giv you training . . . After this you promise you don't bother me today. Deal?" Tom's words really seemed to light the Iron Ball Pokemon up as it's single red eye started brightly shining and he started moving around in the air, showing that he accepts Tom's offer.
"Alright, how are we going to do this?" asked Tom from the Beldum. He didn't seem to want an though as his eyes were already glowing red. The boy started moving around his arms which actually thanks to his long sleeve cloak looked rahter elegant. He wasn't waving them around without a reason though, he used his psychic powers to control the water from the pond. He planned to fight with the Beldum by himself using the water. Since Beldum was a rather smart pokemon he understood it and imminietly got his guard up.
Suddenly a torrent of water raized from the pond which was rushing right towards Beldum. The pokemon dodged it by moving towards Tom a little. It wasn't going to attack the boy carelessly though since it knew he would probably have some plan to defend. Tom wasn't really going to let Beldum think either as in a split second the very same spinning torrent had changed it's direction and came right at Bell from behind. The pokemon wasn't ready for such kind of attack and took a hit. The torrent had knocked Beldum right towards it's trainer. Bell couldn't really stop it and waited for a quick knock-out but it seemed like Tom was really serious about this training stuff. The boy captured the pokemon mid air and with a spin he threw the Beldum in completely random direction in a manner one would throw a disc.
Beldum was able to recover rather quickly from that as such type of water attacks didn't have some kind of special effect on him. His eyes did sparkle a little more as it was happy that Tom finally seemed to take their training seriously and didn't simply knock the pokemon out so he could get back to sleep. Beldum was going to make the best out of the situation and imminietly started rushing towards Tom trying to use Take Down on him. The boy quickly watched the speed in which Beldum came though and calculated out the place he would be in seven seconds. He then created another torret which bursted out of the pond smashing right into Beldum's head.
This attack seemed to be little more effective than last one though since the pokemon was now wobbling. Now happened something unexpected though. Tom had jumped off the boat with immence speed and force, force strong enough to actually break the boat in half, and readied his arm to punch the Beldum. There wasn't anything the pokemon could do and thus was punched right into the eye. It was imminietly knocked out by Tom's sheer physical strength and started falling into the water. The boy did stop the falling with his psyhic powers though, making Beldum levitate. Tom made himself levitate as well so he wouldn't fall into the pond.
"Eh, training is too much of a pain after all... I want to sleep," said Tom to himself as he looked right at the moon. "It is so easy for you, simply drifting in space like that..." With saying that he levitated him and his pokemon back to the shore after which he put Beldum in it's pokeball. "What a bother this journey ... but I guess my sister would be more of a trouble," kept the boy talking to himself with rather slow and quiet voice. "Ugh, I am idjit, talking to myself like that." Without saying or thinking anything more the boy laid on his back and in less than 5 seconds he had fallen asleep.
Some hours later, now way past the midnight, Beldum finally woke up again in it's pokeball. It was pretty pissed at it's trainer once again and forced himself out of the pokeball. Although just that simply movement had woken the boy up he pretended to be sleeping. Bell wanted more training but decided not to wake up the trainer anymore though since he knew he would simply knock him out again. Rather he decided to go into the woods for some training of his own. The pokemon was a little bit disappointed and mad with his trainer. It wanted to train way harder so it could win the Pokemon League and please Mary Riddle.
It wandered around the Viridian Forest, looking for something to fight with. The forest was filled with weak bug pokemon who it had little to no interest to. Beldum didn't turn down the challenge of some brave caterpies and weedles though. Most of the times he simply knocked them down with one or two moves though. While wandering around it couldn't help but to notice a strange buzz in it's mind, almost as if something was trying to communicate with it. The buzz simply appeared for some time and then disappeared again. It became little bit more understandable every time Bell heard it again though which hinted that he was moving closer to the thing which caused it.
After several minutes, maybe even a hour, of flying around the Beldum finally reached the soruce. It was another Beldum who seemed rather strong. Now Bell could finally make out what the buzz in his head was. It was a telepathical message sent by that very same Beldum. The pokemon were pulled towards each other by unknown force . . . it was almost as if it was meant to be. Their heads gently collided and they both started glowing really brightly. Next the two pokemon seemed to be emerging into one. It was a magnificent sight. Two Beldum who both were strong enough had met thus causing the evolution. Bell was now a Metang.
The freshly evolved pokemon felt magnifycent. It was almost as if it was an entierly new being. With it's new speed it started dashing towards Viridian City once more to find Tom. It had found new determination to become the strongest and planned to make the boy train it no matter what, and so the journey continued.
