Nico shrugged. "Growlithes been with me since I left home. Found him outside, stargazing of all things." He walked, reaching down to rub said Pokémon's head. "And your Plusle and Minun?"

"Plusle, and Minun, were give to us by our parents. We are best friends." Boys kept on walking. They were little bored, twins weren't really the chatting types, "So big bro, how old are ya?"

"19." Nico wondered when they would reach Pewter City. He turned to say something to Growlithe when he tripped and bumped into a wild ______. "Oh.....oops."

It was a level 10 Beedrill, female, with the ability Swarm. When it saw Growlithe it used Fury Attack, jabbing four times.

Growlithe was struck several times by the Beedrill Nico bumped into. "Growlithe, feint then use Ember!" Taking the order, and eager for revenge, the Growlithe ran straight at the bug-Pokémon. At the last possible moment, he lunged suddenly to the right of the insect and fired Ember at it's side.

Plusle and Minun jumped off from twins' body but they had no intention of joining the battle. "Cheer em on, go go big bro!" Plusle and Minun both created electrical pom-poms from their forepaws and sparks from their bodies to cheer on Growlithe.

Beedrill was hit by the Ember, which was super effective. It used Fury Attack again, flying straight for Growlithe!

"Growlithe, jump and use Ember!" At the last possible moment, Growlithe leaped high in the air over the Beedrill. As he fell behind him, he turned and used Ember right at the back of it's head.

Beedrill was just barely hanging on, and it sort of just fluttered around, almost confused. It used Fury Attack one last time, jabbing its pointy things at Growlithe.

Nico gave no instructions this last time, merely nodding at the Pokémon to finish the battle. Growlithe did so with glee. He waited until the Beedrill was right in front of him before dodging to the side with a sudden burst of speed. He then launched himself at the Beedrill, using the attack Bite.

Beedrill collapsed, fainted. Growlithe leveled up!

"Nice one big bro. So you gonna capture him?" asked twins from the boy smiling. Plusle and Minun still kept on dancing and wishing Beedrill to get well quick.

Nico shook his head. "Growlithe wouldn't let me." The boy chuckled as he continued the walk to Pewter City.

"Why?" asked both boys together from big bro. "Plusle, Minun come." said Mini. Two Pokémon stopped dancing and climbed Mini's body. Gemi walked on Nico's right side while Mini occupied the left side, "By the way what's your name big bro?" asked Gemi.

"Because he couldn't stand to be around Pokémon he sees as inferior. If they can't put up a good fight in a battle, they aren't worth the trouble. I can't exactly say I disagree with him." He mentally facepalmed, forgetting to introduce himself. "I'm Nico. Pleased to meet you two."

"He is Gemi," said Mini, "And he is Mini," continued Gemi the introduction. "You can just call us Gemini if you want."

Nico looked at them increduously for a second. "Strange parents...." He looked up and all was forgotten for a second. Growlithe nuzzled up to him. "Yeah, I know. I know." They had arrived at Pewter City.
