Appearance:

5'5 135 Pounds. Caucasian. Black hair and brown eyes. Wears glasses which he stops to clean if they get even slightly dirty. Carries a huge backpack filled with everything he thinks he might need.

Personality:
Paul is a very caring individual, often willing to help complete strangers. A massive worry wart, Paul always imagines the absolute worst case scenario happening, it's to the point where you can tell how close he is to someone by how much he worries about them. With Paul's worrying comes hypochondria and the occasional panic attack. Most of the time he's silent, often thinking about something, and is of above average intelligence, and good at thinking outside the box. Paul is somewhat lazy, and is a bit of a shut in, but will put lots of work into things that are important to him. Paul has never really cared for romance, and isn't very social, only having a few friends at a time, and never having much romantic attraction to anyone, of either sex.

Battle Style:
Paul likes to battle in a professional way. Paul's tenancy to spend days inside on the computer has given him plenty of knowledge on common movesets, pokemon roles, and team setups. Paul knows the best rolls for pokemon from watching pro battles on TV and the internet. Paul preforms best against professional trainers, as he can generally predict what the pokemon will do. Paul can sometimes suffer against amateur trainers, as they are less predictable.

Past Experience / History:
Paul grew up in the small, isolated town of Dewford, with only his mother and older sister to keep him company. Being isolated, the only experience Paul had with the rest of the world was what he gleamed from the national news, leading Paul to be scared of the outside world. Paul's fears reached their peak when his sister left to travel Kanto when he was 8. He worried constantly about her, and whenever they got the chance to talk they did so for hours, becoming very close. Chances to talk to his sister were infrequent, so most of the time he only had his mother for company, forming a close bond with her as well.

Eventually he decided to overcome his fears and travel with his sister. He got a Mudkip from Professor Birch when he came to his town for field research. Then, after saying goodbye to his mother, he boarded a ship for Slateport City. While in Slateport waiting for his ship to Johto to arrive he explored the city and got his first real taste of the world outside the tiny island he grew up. Eventually his boat arrived and he boarded, nervous for the journey ahead. Eventually the boat reached Olivine City in Johto, and Paul stepped off, unsure of the future.

The trainer template states you can start above two, but there are regulations for first trainers. Since this is your first trainer, you may only start with one pokemon.
