Paul Ryan is a simple boy who enjoys the simple things in life, such as the smell of fresh air, or how refreshing it is to take a bath after a long day. He's very complacent and doesn't ask for much, settling with anything that comes his way. At times he feels miniscule but doesn't act upon it, knowing that things are, and will continue to go, as they are meant to be. He is very happy-go-lucky none the less, and strives to be a great pokemon trainer.

Paul never wanted to be a pokemon trainer. He lived his life uncertain as to what he wanted to do, or what he wanted to be, but one day, by a stroke of luck, it just happened. His friend was the one who put the idea into his head. Despite the popularity of pokemon, he didn't think of having one as a trainer before, but, here he is now, on his way to becoming number one.. maybe.
