Flying High! (MOD)

Bright was still in his bed, snoring away with his friend and partner, Lucky, sprawled out along his face. The trainer was awoken by the smell of breakfast cooking downstairs, and he shot up from his bed. The lightning squirrel toppled over itself as it fell down to Bright's lap. The white-haired trainer chuckled as he saw the small pokemon moved around dizzily.

"Emo...lga...."

"Sorry, buddy, but I'm a bit excited! Today's our first day!"

Bright jumped out of bed and put his signature clothes on, a white zipped up jacket, and a light grey pair of skinny jeans. The sleepy Emolga walked over lazily and butted her head against Bright's side. He tried his best to pet the little guy as he zipped up a pair of black boots, then stood up and looked at his dresser longingly. Attached to the mirror was a picture of his full family, his father and mother holding up a small child with white hair between them lovingly. The trainer grinned and pulled the white headband off of where it hung and put it over his head, letting his white hair flow out the top.

"You ready, Lucky?"

"EMOL!!"

The trainer and pokemon ate their breakfast as fast as they could, then rushed out of the door while saying a quick goodbye to Bright's caring mother. She leaned against the door frame as Bright ran down the road, with Lucky gliding behind him happily.

"Heh...so reckless. He forgot to clean his room. Ah, well, I guess he won't be back for awhile anyways..."

She went back inside as Bright got out of the town's borders into the grassy outdoors. This is where the trainer stopped and turned on his heels, looking around for a couple of minutes.

"Uhm...so, how do we find wild pokemon again?"

Lucky facepalmed in embarrassment, causing it to lose its glide and fall into the grass below, colliding into what looked to be a wild pokemon.[/i][/i]

Emolga landed on a small green and brown Pokémon. It seemed to have been enjoying its meal, nibbling on the leaves of a local bush when struck. However, due to its low center of gravity, little seemed to happen to it, Emolga taking the brunt of the impact. It had collided right into the shell of a Turtwig!

"Turtwig?" The creature reacted, looking up slowly as it chewed the leaves and twig in its mouth. It seemed to care little, looking to the Emolga as it slid off his back and plopped onto the ground. He merely followed the creature with his gaze, like a cow chewing cud.

Bright ran over to where Lucky had landed, looking at the small pokemon with wide eyes. This was what he had been wanting! Lucky had lived up to her name and brought them their first wild pokemon encounter! The Emolga got up sluggishly, rubbing her head with her paws as she blinked away tears. She wobbled over to Bright's feet, glaring at the Turtwig as if it was his fault. Bright pulled out his pokedex and pointed it at the pokemon, getting detailed information on it which was displayed on the screen for him:

Turtwig, the Tiny Leaf Pokemon. The shell on its back is made of soil. On a very healthy Turtwig, the shell should feel moist.

"Turtwig, huh? That's awesome! Alright, Lucky, ready to battle?"

"Emol!"

"Yosh! Start us off with a Quick Attack!"

Lucky shook off the pain, then climbed up Bright's shoulder and launched off of it. She spread her arms, revealing the black flaps underneath that allowed her to fly. She flew up high into the air, then sped down towards the Turtwig, leaving a white trail behind her as she got closer. Whether she missed or didn't, she continued and made a U-turn back into the sky.

"Alright, now hit it with a Charge Beam!"

Lucky spread her arms wide, allowing her to float in the air a moment while she charged her energy. A beam of pure electricity shot from her abdomen, speeding towards the Turtwig.

Turtwig, Male LV 10

Turtwig had been mildly oblivious to the intentions prior. He was still busy chewing on his snack, soaking in nutrients from the damp soil under foot. However, when the first attack struck, Turtwig quickly dropped the rest of the leaves, wincing. He didn't go far, short stocky feet helping him stand more or less against the brunt of the impact. Now he was ready, though, glaring at the flying rodent with malice.

He Withdrew a bit into his shell, water seeming to seep from it. The gel hardened, creating a slick across his body. The sheen actually was from the hardening, raising Turtwig's defense a bit! He took note of the next move, carefully timing his movement to side step swiftly out of the way! The beam struck the earth beneath, uprooting some grass and causing small chunks of dirt to fly about. 

The green and brown Pokémon smirked, "Tur," he growled, opening his mouth suddenly. A white orb formed before it, a barrage of white glowing seeds bursting from within! Each seed was glowing, and exploded upon impact on whatever they touched. Turtwig used Seed Bomb!
