Starting out.(open, plus a mod)

As Jace was leaveing his home Emolga laughed and flyer ahead a little way. Jace chased after his new friend, when he caught up they where in front of the city's gym. His motivation was sitting right there, and all of his dreams he was going to achieve should start here. Just a few years ago, Jace remembers walking into the gym on accident. That was the day he decided to become just like the gym leader, Cilan.

"It would be fun to watch one more challenger. Right Emolga?" Jace says smileing at at his friend. He was hopeing to watch one last gym battle to set him off, so he was more motivated. He started walking up the steps as a idea stuck his mind. He could challenge the gym!

As Jace grew closer to the Gym and walked closer to its looking doors, a slight commotion could be heard from inside. Though the doors and walls were usually thick enough to blot out the noise of battle as to not bother the citizens of Striaton and those passing by, something seemed amiss. The faint sound of yelling voices and... a sudden crash erupted from inside, followed by more panicked and loud voices. The door, however, hid most of the sights and sounds from Jace. Whatever lay inside may not be a pretty sight, and the trainer would have to enter at his own peril.

Meanwhile, inside the gym and out of Jace's sight and hearing range, something was definitely wrong. The tables were scattered and flipped about, remnants of violent battles scattered about the gym, and among the fainted Pokemon and cowering gym personnel, the three gym leaders stood defiant. By each of their sides were a Simisear, Simipour, and Simisage with grim expressions on their face. The source of the turmoil seemed to be a man dressed in a sleek, dark suit glaring down at the gym leaders with a Haxorus at his side. The man had two people of his own at either side of him, both grinning wickedly.

"You're never getting past us!" Chili shouted at the man and glowered with rage, his Simisear matching his expression.

"You're helpless against the three of us! Stop your wrongdoing now!" Cress called out.

The man simply grinned. "I'm not much one for law abiding," he scoffed, "and last I checked, I had a team as well." The two men at his side held up Pokeballs of their own, ready to join the fray if the gym leaders didn't comply. "Now then, just hand them over and we'll try not to leave your gym and its precious inhabitants in ashes."

Of course, none of this commotion could be made out through the door that separated Jace from it. All he would hear were the muffled sound of voices, too contained to make the words out. He could still back out, if he so chose.

As Jace was walking up the stairs there was a loud muffled sound, and a few muffle yells, which made Jace smile sheepishly, thinking chilli was arguing and throwing a tantrum. As Jace opened the door he gasped, eyes going wide. The restaurant he grew up loveing to hang out at was destroyed, the three gym leaders standing infront of three people who seemed to be suspicious, and also seemed to the cause of this mess. This angered Jace seeing his favorite place destroyed. He clenches his fist as he glares at the three, and he takes deep breaths to calm himself down.

"Wh-what's happening? What's going on! Why is this once elegant place trashed and messy! Oh the presentation on this encounter is horrific! How could you three let this happen? Cilan, Chilli, Cress! How could you not keep the elegance!" Jace says dramatically, hugging Emolga, who is smiling from the attention he's giving her. When he let go, Emolga flys up onto his head.

"Ah, another visitor. Aren't you going to be courteous to our guest?" the man sneered and with a wicked grin, veered to face Jace. "This elegant place is trashed because I felt it needed to. And to my opinion," he paused to sweep his gaze across the disarray, "I quite like the new interior. Perhaps I'll redecorate all of the insolent gyms to this style. Why yes, it will become quite a trend." His two henchmen laughed, one of them even kicking a fallen chair and sending it skidding toward a terrified waiter.

"Sir, we won't stand for this!" Cilan called out, he shot a concerned look in Jace's direction, but focused more upon the man. "There are means of obtaining a Gym Badge other than theft!"

"Why, that's not really my style," the man replied, "and we don't just want one. We want all of them. Haxorus, get these pesky flies off of our back. And you," he said toward one of the henchmen, "you can play with the fresh meat. Cook him until he burns." Nodding, one of the men cracked his neck and made his way toward Jace.

The three Gym Leader's Pokemon locked into combat with the Haxorus as well as an Elgyem commanded by the remaining henchman. While they were occupied, Jace would have to hold his own.

"Well well," the henchman sneered toward Jace, "let's see if you're more entertaining than the waiters around here. All of them couldn't even beat my full team, I still have one beauty that hasn't gotten his play time yet." With that statement, he tossed a Pokeball into the air, and a Tepig burst from it, taking a battle stance as his nostrils flared and bellowed smoke.

Tepig, Male, Level 10

Jace was surprised as the man said what he said, stealing all the gym badges! Who would do suck a thing! Jace stepped back, Emolga flying off his head, landing infront of him as he overcame his shock.

" Emolga, ready to see how compatible we are? Let's begin this with a thunder shock!" He said as he pointed at the tepid, smileing. Emolga then charges it's energy and sends it's electic power at the tepig.

The ball of electricity was aimed true, and it collided with the Tepig, much to it's annoyance. It shuddered from the effects of the electricity, and the smoke bellowing from his nose seemed to increase as small embers escaped with it.

"Let's heat things up. Tepig, Ember!" the henchman commanded. Rearing back and releasing a battle cry, the pig Pokemon formed a small ball of flames within his mouth and shot them toward Emolga.
