[MOD needed] Tsubasa vs. Brock!

"Tch." Tsubasa grunted, doing this quite a lot lately this is becoming a part of him. Grunting and mumbling things under his breath. Looking around for the kid he had encountered earlier, he sighed in relief to see there was no sign of him. Walking to the gym, he kicked open the door and entered to see the place had been fixed as good as new except for a few cracks and dents here and there. Little would Brock know Tsubasa had a tantrum here and allowed his Pokemon to unleash havoc on the place some time ago. Seeing no sign of Brock, the trainer called out for him.

Deciding not to waste much time, he drew a Pokeball and brought out his strongest Pokemon who happened to have a few moves that would be useful in this battle. A Dratini came out and roared as loud as it could. Members of its species are born short and shed skin over time gaining experience as it grows longer and longer until at some point it evolves into a Dragonair. Close to evolving due to intense training sessions in recent days, Dratini measured an approximate of 8 feet long right now. The serpentine coiled up and stuck its head up, looking around, waiting patiently.

The Dratini had a varied moveset Tsubasa planned on using wisely. Aqua Jet was going to be the main move in his arsenal today. His remaining Pokemon were Charmeleon, Bagon and Nidorino. All had varied movesets, were more unpredictable than Dratini and were ready to fight as backup. Tsubasa waited eagerly for the Rock leader to show up. He was Tsubasa's first objective in his ultimate crazy quest of world domination.

"I am here to challenge you. And I am here to earn the Boulder Badge when I defeat you." The reply came from the trainer in a confident tone. He was already starting to get impatient, eager to get this over with. Although Tsubasa had knowledge on many things about and related to Pokemon due to hours and days of studying and research, he had little to no idea of the specific species of Pokemon most Gym Leaders used, just the types they specialized in. He was a knowledgeable person but did not know every single thing ever in the Pokemon Universe. Pokemon type chart and ability functions along with facts about many known Pokemon were among others in things he knew about. He knew detailed information about Pokemon and locations from Hoenn, where he was born, little about those of Unova where he lived for a few months and knew a lot about Kanto having studied about the region thoroughly before deciding to permanently relocate to the region and conquer its league. It was by fa the most challenging region, his research concluded.

Back on topic, Tsubasa already had his Pokemon out of its capsule in order to not waste time doing fancy gestures throwing it out. It was a majestic Dratini waiting eagerly to destroy anything coming at it. Also, this was the only Pokemon he was going to use, as all of his others no longer belong to him. Wanting a complete reconstruction of his team, he decided to keep the strongest Pokemon and give up the rest for adoption. Tsubasa was going to have to tread carefully leaving no room for error. Any mistake is going to leave his chances of winning the badge in jeopardy. Not sure how many Pokemon Brock was going to use, Tsubasa refrained from telling him he was going to use only one, planning on not letting his Dratini die throughout the battle and hoping on using its hopefully superior strength to take out opposing Pokemon early.

"I'm ready. Lets get this over with. I won't disappoint."

"Heh. Geodude." Tsubasa grinned as he analyzed the opposing Pokemon. A little over one foot tall, it didn't look very intimidating to the elegant Dratini, awaiting orders. Tsubasa took the moment to gather as much information as he can. Defense Curl. He noted. Most trainers he fought never bothered with stat boosts. This was no regular trainer and was not to be underestimated. It was clear to him before he even saw what Pokemon he was up against. Rock and Ground type. He recalled. He had no device fancy trainers carried around these days. Information about Pokemon, especially ones from Kanto, were known to him. They were as clear to him as the sky was blue. No Defense Curl would help the Geodude, Tsubasa declared. Four times weakness to water type attacks.

Brock must have been unaware of the Dratini's move set. Should he risk it and let him know that Aqua Jet was in his Arsenal? Or should he take out the Geodude by other means and leave the water type attack as a surprise? Either way he had only one Pokemon to use and could not afford to go wrong. He waited. Geodude used Defense Curl and boosted its defense. Dratini remained patient awaiting an order. Ha! Geodude could raise its defense as much as it would like, there would be no avoiding Dragon Rage, which was a move set to always to precisely 40 HP damage. Statistically speaking, Geodude barely had a hundred at level fifty. Then again, he wanted to get the battle over with quickly. This Geodude was surely not Brock's best Pokemon.

"Aqua Je-!"

His order was interrupted by a sonic boom sound. The Dratini engulfed itself in a coat of water and zoomed at the Geodude with extreme agility, attempting to crash into its foe.

"...." Tsubasa looked on as his Dratini successfully struck and knocked out Geodude as expected. No celebrations were made, for he was sure a stronger Pokemon would be his next obstacle. Accepting Brock's compliments, he looked on as out came an Onix. The Pokemon was very damn long. Twenty eight feet of rock. It made his over six feet long Dratini look tiny next to it. The Pokemon was literally one of the longest ever. The only two breeds that out-length this beast were its own evolution and the exceptionable Wailord, the largest species of Pokemon in existence. This beast was longer than a Rayquaza, and a Giratina. Heck it was almost as long as those Pokemon combined. Tsubasa looked on eagerly, waiting for Brock to use a command.

Soon an order came. Rock Tomb, was Brock's answer. It was a move that both damaged and lowered the speed of the Pokemon it targets, should it hit. Tsubasa had aimed to take care of this challenge without getting his Dratini harmed, as it was his only Pokemon at the time. His others no longer belonged to him. However, with Brock playing at an intensified pace, this would not be an easy task. "Twister!" The trainer responded swiftly, to fight against Brock's maneuver. The orb on Dratini's neck glowed brightly as it immediately formed a spinning tornado of dragon like energy from its tail, firing it at the falling boulders in the nick of time. The fast paced battle did not allow for Tsubasa to see whether or not his tactics worked entirely, although he did hear and see the dragon type move crush and destroy some of the falling boulders. The bouldersfell everywhere around and possibly on Dratini, kicking up a cloud of dust and leaving for mystery whether or not the serpent survived.

Inside the dust, Dratini had managed to destroy a good portion of the attack, but was struck by the rock type assault indirectly, and had its speed lowered. It took some damage worth noting, and Tsubasa was going to have to be more careful in avoiding damage later on unless he wanted to exit the gym with empty hands. "....Dragon Rage!" The trainer decided to not be too predictable. Dragon raged cause forty HP damage if hit, and Onyx's high defenses need not worry the trainer. Hoping to break his opposing Pokemon down before going directly to another Aqua JEt, Tsubasa's little dragon fired a ball of blue dragon type energy at the Onyx, hoping not to miss the big target.

Tsubasa grinned as his attack struck the opposing giant. However, as expected, the Pokemon took the hit and was still standing ready to fight. He had heard it roaring and groaning, possibly in pain. He heard another loud roar aimed to intimidate his Dratini. However he did not hear an order from Brock. Assuming the gym leader did not think in time, he was quick to command, "Perfect. Now u-" He was interrupted by a loud sound. He clearly saw the giant tail come down on his Pokemon, and due to its size, he clearly saw it wrapping itself around the smaller Pokemon who was shocked by the mighty roar and unable to dodge the maneuver.

His Dratini made a few strange noises, possibly yelling in pain for its trainer to save it. "Stay strong.." He waited for the Onyx to wrap itself around his Pokemon to a certain degree. "Wrap." Tsubasa ordered almost shakily. His Dratini attempted to wrap itself around the serpent, as the bigger Pokemon wrapped it in the bigger picture. if successful, Dratini would be wrapped around a segment of the tail but be wrapped and pressed on both sides by more parts of Onyx's tail.

Tsubasa acknowledged that he was going to have to be more careful and take out the giant before the giant took him out of the battle. His Dratini was hurting now, and if that kept up it could face a defeat from the opposing Pokemon.

Tsubasa looked on as the Onyx managed a toothless smile. His Dratini followed his orders to the extent in which it was capable; pretty much not capable. Waiting patiently for the chance to strike, the trainer waited. The giant serpent was ordered by its master to use Tackle. The Dratini was hurting from Bind and in addition to this was about to get crushed and possibly knocked out. If this lasted the battle was going to be hopeless. Dratini was not enjoying a single second of this, obviously.

As for the wrap hurting Dratini, it was meant to hurt itself in this case. It was supposed to be a move to position the smaller Pokemon for a counteracting maneuver.

Tsubasa noticed the upcoming attack and just when the giant Pokemon came a few feet from his smaller serpent, he ordered, "Aqua Jet!" Dratini would try to surprise the beast by its coating of thick and vast water, and get its tackle to stop, before using the now slippery body to try and spiral up the beast. Clenching his fists and gritting his teeth, Tsubasa managed a grin as he waited with faith for the outcome.

Tsubasa sighed a sigh of relief as the opposing Onyx fainted. Although he was unsure why the gigantic Pokemon appeared to show and feel astronomical amounts of pain. If the world of Pokemon relied on making the beautiful creatures feel tremendous pain for the gain and sake of their trainers, well, that sucks. Tsubasa had just fought the most intense and difficult battle of his life so far, he realized. Even he was sweating. For the first time he had doubted the outcome of a battle. Realizing the intensity of the Pokemon League, he decided he was going to have to train a lot more in order to achieve his goals.

He accepted the prizes and refused to say anything as he was out of words and in shock. His opponent probably was not even trying when he gave it all he got. Tsubasa withdrew his little dragon and walked out of the gym.
