The Port of Exquisite Sunsets was named perfectly. The title suited the spectacular city and upon witnessing the sunset and Vermilion, the spectators could see how the title it has been given is well deserved and justified. The pretty rays of the Sun fell perfectly onto the port city and her magnificence was greatly magnified. Beautiful ships were docked at the harbor and the famed S.S. Anne and the S.S. Aqua were anchored there. The grand S.S. Anne traveled all over the world and visits her home city only once a year, and she was right there next to the S.S. Aqua whose crew made regular voyages to Johto. The city was free of all sorts of pollution and one could see how responsible the citizens were. The calming sight of the clean blue tides would have been a beautiful sight for any spectator. At the time of Sunset, the sea appeared particularly wonderful.

"Tch. So bright..." A complaint from an ungrateful teenager would break the silence. In the face of eternal beauty, only this particular individual could see the behind of an ugly TRUBBISH. Although he was capable of recognizing beauty, he always found faults in everything and was never content with anything for what it was. As one would imagine, he wasn't very pleasant to be around. Covering his eyes as the Sun lit upon his face, he turned down to look away as he continued walking. The once a year sight of the S.S. Anne meant nothing to him although he was informed of her voyages and purpose. The Port of Exquisite Sunsets was an overstatement, he thought. Grunting and murmuring away, he muttered under his breath and kept talking to himself, complaining.  Beside him, a serpentine Pokemon slithered, walking alongside him as equals. It was his Dragonair who had evolved not too long ago after the fast paced yet long and tedious battle at the Cerulean Gym. At his other side stood an elegant Nidoqueen. She walked quite closeto the trainer and seemed to be overly fond of him. She was much more clingy as a Nidoran but her recent seasoning and intense training sessions had toughened her up in ways. She was now much more fearsome than she had previously been and as such was more independent. Finally, hovering behind him was the ghost type Pokemon Misdreavus who served minimally in his latest battle. The trainer had decided to make his Pokemon walk with him as he did not want to endure the long journey all by himself, with the new trainers and collectors challenging him ever so frequently.

The city had numerous places of interest such as the Pokemon Fan Club and the aforementioned ships who were docked in the harbor which in itself was another popular place one would visit if one wanted to go sightseeing in Vermilion. None of these places were of interest to the person who just arrived on foot, having traveled a long way from Cerulean. He only had one thing to accomplish, a sole challenge he had to make, in this city. He was headed for the Vermilion Gym where he had expected to beat Lt. Surge and secure the third gym badge. Hoping to beat the first three obstacles consecutively without losing his charisma. Although Brock and Misty were the toughest individuals Tsubasa had had the opportunity to battle with, he expected Lt.Surge to be better than the both of them combined. The battles with them had greatly affected his take on the Indigo League and he had no intention of taking his next battle lightly.

In spite of the fact that they had only just arrived, and the Sun was already going down, Tsubasa decided that he was going to beat the third gym before he rests for the day. All he thought about doing on his journey to the city was beating the next obstacle and he simply lacked the patience to wait until the next day. For some reason he had decided to conquer Kanto by beating her league first. The details of his ultimate aspiration of world domination can be saved for some other time. His thoughtswere disrupted by the sound of something landing on the top of his head. A lone Pidgey can be seen flying away not too far away as he observed. Upon inspection he would find that the bird had decided to take a dump on him. He gritted his teeth and sighed heavily.  The mischievous Misdreavus would chuckle behind his back and agitate him but the Dragonair hissed and scowled, silencing the ghost type.

The Nidorina did not take the bird's actions lightly and had decided to ambush the fleeing Pokemon. However, the numerous Thunderbolts that were fired proved to be futile as the target had already flown too far. "Let it go. Save your energy for the gym battle, we will be relying on you to take care of this one." Tsubasa stated in a flat tone. The Nidoqueen would get overly excited and be overjoyed by the responsibility she was trusted with for this was her first gym battle and Tsu usually had Dragonair to take care of his problems. However, the bipedal did have a type advantage over the electric gym of Vermilion and as such would be relied upon for the battle which would soon take place in it.

After a brief excavation of the immediate vicinity, Tsubasa managed to locate the gym. Returning all three of his beasts back to their capsules, he did not have the manners to knock and had decided to kick the door open instead, displaying his lack of patience and ever growing arrogance.

Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title]   Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title] H6Q0F8zWed Apr 15, 2015 6:35 pm

The door to the gym swung open, the main opponent within this gym was that of Lt.Surge, the warrior whom had served within one of the great Kanto wars, would be located at the very back of the gym. Sitting upon a chair staring out in to the distance. He had not registered the trainer whom would enter. He would not register the male until he was directly in front of him and that could take sometime. You see, since the war Surge had become incredibly bored while waiting for challengers thus he had refurbished his gym years ago.  Now in the front of the gym lay row upon row of trash cans. Within two trash cans sat switches that would turn off the electric grid that split the gym. The issue was if you found a single switch and then checked the wrong trash can. That switch would de-activate and a new one would have to be found. Meaning this puzzle would take brains over brawns.

The gym was filled with multiple computer like fixtures, electricity fluxuating within the gym showing this gyms nature. The army man would simply stare, he would not move. nor make any attempt to help the male when he begins to find the switches. He had already heard of this trainer, Both Brock and Misty had informed him of the males "nature" it electrified the soldier, Misty had informed him that she had even used her non regulation Starmie, something she would have gotten in trouble for he was sure. He would prefer to use his personal team instead of his gym requirement team but by the rules of the pokemon league, he was to use the team specially reserved for those attempting the league for the very first time. This team was Voltorb, Pikachu and Raichu. If he could use his own Electavire, Raichu and Magnezone, this boy would stand no chance. Alas rules were rules and as an officer of war he was invented to follow them. Sitting he would await his challenger.

PostSubject: Re: Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title]   Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title] H6Q0F8zFri Apr 17, 2015 2:40 am

Looking upon the expression on his beautiful face one would see the imminent feeling of aggression. He felt provoked by the mockery before him. The two previous gym leaders did not place any obstacles in his path and chose to accept his battle without hiding behind barriers of stone or water. Tsukino Tsubasa an impatient aspirant on a quest which compelled him with a feeling of obligation to challenge and defeat the Indigo League - at least the half in Kanto. Perhaps he would challenge the Four and the other half as well if time allows for it. However, his priorities were different and even beating the Kanto league came after a more ambitious task in the big picture. He did not want any obstacles in his path for it was not in his character to make stops. He wanted to steam roll through his challenges and mercilessly annihilate the obstacles.

Although the gym leader was allowed to use Pokemon of a preset experience and his real team would not compete today, Tsu stood by the belief that this challenge was to defeat the opponent's regulation Pokemmon and not his real team. The obvious difference in age and experience was imminent but the trainer did not underestimate his own capabilities for he had spent much of his days studying and learning more about the art of Pokemon battling and more about Pokemon in general, including various other subjects. Furthermore, he possessed the recently evolved Nidoqueen who had acquired a type advantage upon her evolution. Hopefully this one will adhere to the rules and refrain from using and overly powered Pokemon, like how his previous opponent had. He did beat her in the end and the battle resulted in the emergence of his beautiful Dragonair from the serpentine which was once a less beautiful Dratini.

The challenger stared at the gym leader through the electric barrier. Whenever there was an abrupt presence of a gap in the barrier due to the flowing electricity, he would look with his expression of agitation with which he made an attempt to communicate how he felt belittled by the barrier behind which the electric type specialist decided to hide. However, no words escaped his mouth - the man seemed to be one who abides the rules and Tsu knew beforehand that the barrier was usually present to challenge trainers to solve the mini puzzle of sorts. He had expected a special treatment but the last thing he wanted to do was have his challenge denied by acting violently or making irrational decisions with lack of proper judgement.

Sighing heavily, Tsubasa prodded over to the switches and sloppily dragged his hand to one of them. During an uncomfortable and awkward few minutes, he would press the switches and observe the changes brought about to the barrier. Instead of using his capabilities to their full extent by using his intellectual excellence to figure it out quickly, he randomly clicked the switches in different orders to see which one was optimal for navigation inside the gym. He did not feel challenged by the obstacle and as such was uninterested in making a proper effort. For as long as it took him, he would walk around the trash cans and click the switches waiting for the desired setting to eventually present itself to him.

The combat soldier would keep his eye upon the boy, or at least whenever he could. Capturing the gaze of the boy the soldier detected annoyance within the gaze. A grin slipped across the combat soldiers face. He had high expectations yet they fell short, it took the boy a rather large amount of time to finally figure out the correct combination of switch. Even those with problems had done it in a much quicker time, perhaps mini puzzles did not entertain the male, perhaps his expertise was in pokemon battles. Eventually the soldier would rise as the barrier de-activated allowing him to come face to face with the male. It was obvious from the appearance that this young trainer held something special, whether that something special was good or bad was yet to be decided by the solider. "About time boy, my arse was getting numb from sitting on that chair waiting on ya to solve such a pish puzzle." the soldier would state.

"Anyway, i already know who ya are, Misty informed me of her blunder, the pokemon yer gonna be facing are from my official league stash, its a shame i'd like ta take ya out with my army team but rules be rules. So the rules stand, a three on three pokemon battle, only you the challenger can change pokemon during the battle." The army man would state, his gaze glaring at his opponent. With a simple movement he unclipped a pokeball and allowed it to enlarge, throwing the ball it would open revealing one of the better known electric types known as Pikachu.

Tsukino Tsubasa remained silent as the gym leader spoke. Disregarding the remark about how slow he was with the puzzle, he just remained there with no expression upon his face. Waiting for the man to finish talking so that he can proceed to obliterate him. As the man's mouth moved, Tsu would just stare and watch it move without really listening. However, he looked at the man's lips and how it moved, observing the man very carefully and accurately reading his lips to entertain himself. He did not have to boast about this to prove his intellectual capabilities to the gym leader who had already assumed the trainer to be below average in that regard. His own assurance was satisfactory for him. In addition to blocking out his voice and reading his lips he had simultaneously hummed his favorite tune and consistently imagined his opponent's demise in a hundred different ways.

Three on three.. The Magikarp and the Abra are not conditioned yet anyway.. He thought to himself, Then again.. He remembered his Nidoqueen and speculated that the utilization of more than one constituent of his arsenal may be unnecessary in this battle. After a prolonged silence, he finally spoke a while after the Pikachu had been presented to him as his first obstacle, "She must have warned you then.." He muttered under his breath. Although he was addressing his opponent, he was nearly inaudible as he looked up in a scene that would highlight his reddish brown eyes in a reddish tone to emphasize his villainous nature and general badassery. "I should have fried that Starmie, she's lucky I didn't.." He recalled how the Cerulean gym leader had forfeited and withdrawn her conscious Starmie right before his dragon hit with the Thunderbolt.

In one swift motion, he drew a capsule from his pocket, enlarged it and heaved it. His Nidoqueen presented herself to the gym leader with a loud roar. The blue bipedal stamped its feet and looked straight ahead with a fearless stare. "It's a shame they do not allow you to use your competetive team for in their absence, the sole function that sad puzzle serves is the delay of your defeat." He simply huffed and the Nidoqueen immediately made its first move. It raised one of its feet and violently brought it down back to the surface striking hard. This would cause the entire terrain to shake violently and a large crack to vigorously accelerate towards the Pikachu. It was the ground type move Earthquake! Tsubasa was well aware of the difference in experience of the two individual Pokemon and there was no necessity for a slow paced set up maneuver.

Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title]   Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title] H6Q0F8zMon Apr 20, 2015 11:55 am

A grunt would escape the pokemon trainer known as Surge. The Gym leader would simply shrug at the attitude of the young man, the little whipper snapper sounded exactly like Surge in his younger days, believing himself to be one of the chosen ones, the strongest, the young boy would get a shock some day. Anyway, upon the release of the pokemon known as Nidoqueen, the trainer understood his low levelled Pikachu would be unable to do much against the ground/poison type pokemon. "Play Nice" the soldier ordered. Upon the Nidoqueen's leg rising, the pikachu would begin to dance about with a smile upon its face. This smile and movement were known to lower the attack of a target and would be the only move Pikachu was capable of using before the Earthquake obliterated the small electric mouse. "Return" the soldier would state, holding the pokeball at arms length to allow the red light to retrieve the pokemon.

Now the army man would have to decide on his second pokemon, he had to hand it to the trainer, a single move had defeated his first pokemon and it did not look good, he was a gym leader after all. Thinking through his battle plan, the trainer would deduce that his Raichu would be the best possible pokemon to use in such a situation. Un-clipping the capsule from its holster, he would touch the white button upon the center before releasing the capsule in to the air. Upon the peak of its movement it would open of its own accord and reveal the evolved Pikachu whom would release a defiant growl of its own name, staring at the Nidoqueen lightning sparks would shoot from its cheeks as a threat for the larger pokemon to stay back. "use Quick attack to get in close" Surge would order.

The electric pokemon would proceed to lower itself on all fours, and in one blurred movement would proceed to run with enhanced speed, its aim was to close the gap between itself and the Nidoqueen to unleash a very special move, The nidoqueens size was its disadvantage, with a size like that certain moves were usable with a 100% success rate if the pokemon utilizing such moves could get in close enough so that it would be impossible to miss. This was surges plan, ground type or not, he was going to K.O this pokemon if it were the last thing he did.

Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title]   Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title] H6Q0F8zMon Apr 20, 2015 10:28 pm

Hm.. Tsubasa watched as the Pikachu was completely obliterated upon impact. Before it had been knocked out, it had used its impressive speed to use a move that lowered Nidoqueen's attack power. Tsu watched unaffected by this as the second Pokemon revealed itself. The Raichu was indeed stronger and faster than the Pikachu but the same type attack boost and the super effective property of the Earthquake against a Raichu might still be strong enough to knock it out with one hit anyway as with the Pikachu. What is he thinking.. Tsu speculated and played out likely scenarios in his head. A master of deduction, he was capable of analyzing his exact situation in a very small amount of time. Before the Raichu had even begun to move, the trainer deducted that the electric type gym leader would be well equipped to deal with ground type Pokemon as ground is in fact his only weakness.

Given that Surge had speifically stated that he used the Quick Attack to get close to the Nidoqeen, Tsubasa instantaneously deducted that the maneuver was one to set up for a low accuracy move and using his previous assumptions, predicted that the move would be super effective to Nidoqueen. Furthermore, Surge would probably take safety measures and refrain from recklessly throwing the Raichu head first into the metamorphic hell's mouth which is the Nidoqueen who is still potentially capable of knocking the Raichu out cold with a single use of Earthquake due to the difference in experience coupled with the super effective property and the aforementioned same type attack boost attribute. Protect..? A grin emerged upon his flawless face once again.

Raichu had already been ordered to use Quick Attack and if Nidoqueen uses Earthquake, Raichu can either protect itself or use the super effective maneuver but most likely be unable to do both simultaneously. If Raichu chooses to use Focus Blast, then Nidoqueen's Earthquake would probably hit before it has the chance to protect itself, given that Tsubasa is processing all these thoughts in a very small amount of time. Tsubasa in battle thought of the Pokeon as chess pieces on the board and if Nidoqueen's defeat would result in Raichu's downfall then his other Pokemon would still be capable of dealing with the last opponent efficiently which would still ultimately result in his victory. If the electric type uses Protect first, then the Nidoqueen's Earthquake would not be of any effect but then Tsu would be given the time in between Raichu's Protect and its next move to pull off an artistic old school maneuver; the switch in.

Tsubasa had already signalled to the Nidoqueen to use Earthquake as the blurred movement had begun to occur. The female beast went through the same motions which would result in the same aftermath as before with the previous opponent, take a totalled Pikachu. If Surge was going for the kill without protection, Tsu had set his Nidoqueen up to faint after or before knocking out the opponent. As for which Pokemon he would switch in in the case of a Protect used before the ambush, he swiftly narrowed down the moves that Raichu could potentially use. A low accuracy move that a Raichu could learn which would be super effective to a Nidoqueen was the search term. He chuckled, "Focus blast? So predictable." His hand was firm on the capsule which contained Misdreavus.

Surge had decided to be too verbal and had ended up explaining his entire plan to the challenger without even realizing it. Tsu was more resistant to being read and predicted by his opponents as he keeps his verbal commands to a minimum whenever possible. However, he was not as thoroughly synchronized with the Misdreavus as he was with Nidoqueen or his Dragonair. The earthquake was set to commence, the switch in was ready to be made and the Nidoqueen was prepared to sacrifice itself for the greater good. The utilization of Protect by the opposing Pokemon will be the signal for Tsubasa to use the switch in technique and the absence of a protective maneuver will result in the continuation of the Earthquake maneuver in process, which had already begun by such time as Protect would obviously be used, if at all, after the Earthquake commences. Then again, she did have an acceptable special defense and could perhaps survive a Focus Blast which is not enhanced by the same type property of Pokemon moves. She was not that large either for she was in fact shorter than her trainer.

Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title]   Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title] H6Q0F8zTue Apr 21, 2015 5:59 pm

Surge was a combat specialist, his moves should never be counted as basic even when using the pokemon generally labelled for beginner type trainers. It would seem the male had managed to guess the moves that Raichu held, how he had came to focus blast was shocking, for focus blast was a fighting type move that was not very effective against the duel type poison/ground, in fact the Raichu held no moves that would pose much of a threat against the nidoqueen. his aim was to allow for something different, hoping to remove certain obstacles from his way. "Protect" the trainer ordered the mouse type pokemon as the Earthquake was inevitably used again. The green dome instantly shot from its form layering it in a protective cocoon of power halting that of the earthquakes damage. All the combat specialist could do was wait. he had to hold on to think of a proper plan. Nidoqueen was a target that his basic Raichu was un-equipped for. If he were using his own Raichu whom also held an arsenal of ground type moves and defence based moves to deal with ground types then this battle may have went differently.

Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title]   Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title] H6Q0F8zTue Apr 21, 2015 11:15 pm

It happened to be a fact that Tsubasa, as learned as he was, was ultimately a student, a disciple of the art of Pokemon battling and as such had made a rookie mistake with the hasty presumption. However, the same can be said for Lt. Surge as the Nidoqueen was about four feet tall and as such was not a very large target although it was broad in ways. Tsubasa would not come to realize his misconception yet and was firm in his belief that Focus Blast was the move to expect as he was under the false pretense that the Nidoqueen was weak to fighting type attacks given its ground attribute having forgotten to consider its primary type; poison with which the ground type would have had to be combined for the weaknesses to be determined.

As soon as the light from the protective green ball reached his eyes, Tsu reacted to pull off the switch in to what he expected was a Focus Blast that would follow. However, just as he lifted the capsule, it suddenly dawned upon him that Nidoqueen was not weak to fighting type moves and in fact it was resistant! The sudden realization caused him to stop his actions and freeze for a good second; all of his swift big shot deductions had stopped processing. He just remained there with his Misdreavus in its capsule in his hand which was halfway through the motion of heaving the Pokeball. The hand did not move an inch more and Tsubasa stood frozen in his spot. Gritting his teeth with the pupils of his eyes constricted, he suddenly questioned everything he knew about Pokemon and for the first time ever, doubted himself and questioned his capabilities.

The Nidoqueen was confused to have not received any orders or being returned when she had expected to be. She was somewhat synchronized with her trainer and knew what to expect an when to expect it. The absence of action compelled the determined Nidoqueen to try and take matters into her own hands without the command of her trainer. The roles had reversed and now it was the Pokemon defending the trainer's honor and not the other way around. Its tail began to glow in a greenish blue hue as it made a sudden dash towards the protected Raichu. Just as it reached withing range, in a swift motion, the Pokemon would spin once for a full three hundred and sixty degrees attempting to strike with its tail halfway through the spinning motion when the Nidoqueen's back would be facing the target. It was the dragon type move Dragon Tail! If successful it should cause the foe to return to its Pokeball after which the possibly crippled Nidoqueen would continue to serve her trainer by weakening the next Pokemon for her team.

Tsubasa looked on helplessly as the reckless technique began to take place. He would have used Earthquake once again if he was the Nidoqueen but if it weren't for his own mistake, the Pokemon would not be in the situation to begin with. He just watched waiting for a chance to compensate.

Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title]   Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title] H6Q0F8zWed Apr 22, 2015 6:04 pm

It would seem the trainer had some issues, originally it looked as though the male had decided to switch out his pokemon, his Nidoqueen for something else. Though the frail look on the trainers face would make the combat specialist smile. This kid was clearly not used to having mixed up information. Though this would put a spanner in Surges plan, the large soldier would already move to plan B. As the Nidoqueen charged upon its own accord it would make a fatal mistake in using a move that would result in a switch out. Now Surge had two plans he could use. The Nidoqueen was a good two foot and a few inches taller than that of the mouse, avoiding the dragon tail would have been simple and with the distance being minute the Raichu could easily begin to take down the Nidoqueen without letting it gain ground. You see the biggest issue with this Raichu was its lack of long range moves when used against ground type pokemon like Nidoqueen. With earthquake being a good move for long range uses its short range capabilities were the same. Though it involved one striking the ground, Raichus increased speed move would allow it to continuously halt the move by striking and wearing down the Nidoqueen. This was the plan that Surge would not use.

In fact he would allow, yes he would allow his Raichu to be struck by the Dragon tail, succumbing to some damage. A decent amount but not enough to put it in to the red zone. As the Raichu flew back it became an orb of white that was soon absorbed by the pokeball it had came from while almost instantly at the same time, Surges other pokeball would release a white orb that put itself in the same place as Raichu had previously been. This pokemon was known as Voltorb, the pokeball coloured pokemon would not be seen though. Why? Surge had moved quickly he had not allowed time to pass. For upon the white orb touching the ground he had uttered a single word. "boom"? What did this mean? Well the white orb would have taken shape but the white color did not fade for it had instantly utilized such a move. With the move be used at a point blank range the Nidoqueen would most likely be unable to escape the powerful explosion. Not to mention the Raichu also had the ability static that could potentially have caused the paralysing effect to set upon the Nidoqueen upon its dragon tail. Even if this did not factor in the nidoqueen would have a job of dodging the instantaneous explosion that would happen. The explosion erupting taking out a large chunk of the battle field proving the power of the pokemon that had sacrificed all of its HP to use. They would have to wait for the smoke to clear before seeing the effects of course.

Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title]   Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title] H6Q0F8zWed Apr 22, 2015 11:18 pm

The Nidoqueen had made a decision with the lack of proper judgement and had ultimately dug her own grave much like how one installs chrome with internet explorer upon the purchase of a windows computer. Her trainer helplessly stood in place as the Raichu was sent back to its capsule and another Pokemon shot out from a different capsule at the same time. Because the attack did not allow for the victim to choose which Pokemon to switch in and since the foe had only one Pokemon available to fight, the one that came out was familiarized with a certain dangerous and astoundingly powerful self harming move. The contact made with the Raichu with the Dragon Tail did indeed paralyze the Nidoqueen and she was completely helpless to what was coming.

The explosion occurred directly in front of the Nidoqueen. In fact, the opposing Pokemon had made physical contact with the spinning bipedal's ear! The deafening explosion was sure to knock the Nidoqueen out cold. After the smoke cleared out, the two participants of the battle would see the crater formed on the ground below, the sacrificed electric type and the unconscious Nidoqueen. The brave poison type Pokemon had attempted to instinctively use horn attack to strike the opposing Pokemon with her short horn but had evidently failed. The explosion not only took out the Nidoqueen but it had taken a bit of her horn and chipped her ear as well. Tsubasa looked on speechlessly with his hand trembling, his entire body shaking in awe. He was infuriated, frustrated and impressed at the same time.

The chipped ear and the broken horn of his beloved Nidoqueen did not bother him as much as it would an average trainer. The Nidoqueen herself seemed less concerned about her injuries than she was about her defeat. Tsubasa took a few moments to make sense of what had just happened. Regaining his composure and eradicating his self doubt, he snapped out of his confused state and muttered inaudibly under his breath, explaining the situation to himself verbally, "Dragon tail.. contact... Raichu.. Static.. paralyze..Voltorb...selfdestruct?" He paused. The move Selfdestruct would not be strong enough to cause such damage.. "Explosion..!" His face bore no expression as he broke the silence by stating out loud, "Get up."

Of course, the Nidoqueen was no longer capable of continuing to partake in this battle but she did have remarkable stamine and fainted Pokemon have been known to regain consciousness quickly even if they would be unable to fight afterwards until healed. Tsubasa continued to urge his beast to get up and refused to return her to her capsule. To some, this could be viewed as abuse but the Nidoqueen and her trainer both knew this was merely a display of affection. The poison type bipedal eventually got up and stood on her two feet. Her ear still chipped and her horn still half broken, she turned around and many visible injuries to her tough shell can be seen. Explosion was indeed a strong technique! The Pokemon moved towards her trainer slowly and Tsubasa, with her capsule in hand, walked towards her as well. [i]You did well. Your efforts will not be in vain.[i] The words never left the trainer's mouth and his beast heard them regardless. There was no place for weakness in the hearts of the conqueror and his Pokemon. With a touch of the capsule upon the sliced horn of the Nidoqueen, she returned to her place of captivation.

An upset expression on his face immediately inversed itself with a confident and vengeful grin forming across. This left Lt. Surge's injured Raichu to deal with two of Tsubasa's Pokemon one after the other and the trainer did not intend to let the opponent get away with inflicting the injuries that were sustained on his defeated Pokemon. Although he would like for nothing more than all of his Pokemon to take a shot at punishing the opponent by harming his Raichu, he did not intend to use more than one more Pokemon in this battle. If any Pokemon knew how to compensate for a mistake made by Tsubasa, it was his own Dragonair. With the heave of a capsule, the serpentine emerged from her Pokeball and presented herself to Surge as his last opponent.

Another huff escaped Tsubasa's breath and the dragon roared loudly. A pink aura would envelop the beast and rise from the ground around it, emanating brightly and shooting up, relinquishing as it reached the Dragonair's head. The long beast did not stand very high for most of its body were place on the floor but it did easily measure a good eight feet long. The pink aura would grow stronger and stronger causing tremor around its immediate surrounding and eventually her eyes would glow in the same color as well. By the time the energy dissipated, Dragonair felt much more agile and light, for she had gained two stages of speed from the use of the psychic type status enhancing move Agility!

The combat specialist would smile gently, as the dust settled it would reveal the damage, the voltorb covered in scorch marks would make a full recovery without a scratch, while the Nidoqueen had sustained a mass amount of damage that had caused its horn and shell armour to become damaged. It would seem a horn attack had been attempted, it was a valiant effort but one that could not have been more foolish. He would not return his voltorb just yet, he would await the removal of the challengers pokemon but the only thing he could hear was the boy yelling for his pokemon to get up. Surge would simply smile, this boy had balls and his pokemon seemed to have picked up this trait.

The Nidoqueen stirred, the pokemon awakened, yet it had fallen and would be unable to continue on in this gym battle. Now something the boy would probably hate, Surge noticed the bond between the two, an unusual one that was granted but the way the pokemon obeyed his will and the unspoken words that surely followed. The boy was a little bit like the combat specialist in his younger days. The touching return of the nidoqueen asserted Surges thoughts, soon the dragon type would make its play and it came down to this battle. As it used Agility Raichu would appear from its pokeball. it would come down to this.

PostSubject: Re: Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title]   Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title] H6Q0F8zThu Apr 23, 2015 10:42 pm

Tsubasa would look down for a good while with his Dragonair ready to battle. It seems that Surge was letting him make the advancement and he accepted the offer but chose to take his time. The Raichu was his only opponent and it was definitely injured in addition to being less experienced than the dragon. The gym leader was without a doubt much more experienced than Tsubasa and his experience had beat Tsu's raw talent with the fall of Nidoqueen. However, the current situation was entirely in Tsubasa's favor. The trainer, although he tried his best not to reveal this, was quite upset with what had happened to his Nidoqueen. Despite his efforts to contain himself, he looked back up at Surge and the agitated expression on his face was quite imminent. However, a trainer who never ceased to surprise, the upset frown was accompanied with a sinister grin as well.

"I think you know who the victor shall be." He stated boldly, "Any effort put in to defeat me shall be.. Sisyphean." Muttering inaudibly once again, he recalled Raichu's characteristics in battle. The opponent was struck once already and did not have an exceptional amount of health to work with. Perhaps he should use that to his advantage. If he did not know any better, he would try to cripple the Raichu and hurt it as much as he could but he chose to end the battle quickly for he had a certain subordinate expecting him in a town nearby. He chose to use the dragon type move which inflicts a fixed amount of damage to all targets regardless; Dragon Rage.

The orb on Dragonair's neck began to glow as she opened her mouth and a small ball of energy manifested itself in front of her. The ball would grow larger in time and shoot itself at Raichu! It was of a greenish blue hue like the energy emanated from the Dragon Tail but the same type attack boost gave it a stronger aura and presence. Vigorously, the ball accelerated towards its intended target. Although Tsu wished to end this battle with the maneuver, he ws aware of the chance of Raichu evading once again or managing to get up after taking the blow. Then again, the conditions were still in Tsubasa's favor and it was only a matter of time before his opponent succumbed to him for the dragon was like a feline to the Raichu, the rodent (wut :v)

The Raichu would remain in place, its only advantage had been speed, with this pokemon that was taken away from the electric type pokemon, this time though he would be capable of using his electric type attacks, even if they were weakened. Waiting with glaring eyes both the pokemon and the army man would halt their positions to allow the dragon free movement. The chosen move was dragon rage, a set amount of hp would be removed from the raichu if this move were to hit. Thankfully though this move could be easily halted with a single move of the Raichu's own. "Protect" Surge would order. Naturally one would be bothered about the use of protect more than once in a battle, but thanks to the dragon tail having sent this pokemon back to the ball, it would reset the weakness of protect. So once more the beginner based Raichu would sine in a golden aura that would soon form a shield to halt a single attack. The dragon rage that beautifully shone would connect and dissipate along with the protect.

Upon the moves removing one another, the pokemont trainer of electricity would state the words "Quick attack", thus the mouse pokemon would once more enact the high priority based move that would soon jet the pokemon that the army male utilized towards the dragon, this time not in a zigzag formation but a straight run of pure speed. The aim, to connect body with body, the serpent type pokemon was one that would obliterate the rodent for lunch if the rodent could not be quicker or smarter.

Quicker was one thing Raichu was, for the quick attack was a priority move. However, smarter was perhaps an overstatement. Tsubasa heard the command and although he would have been unable to react in time regrardless, had decided to let the rodent connect with the maneuver, making physical contact with the Dragonair. Although the trainer was unable to act during the Raichu's movement, the impact did give him enough time to assert an order. The quick attack did hit the serpent but did not hit her hard enough to cause significant damage, for her health bar would not have gone yellow; their difference in experience was imminent. Tsubasa reacted instantaneously to the contact that was made and grunted some more. He had commanded his dragon to use wrap. The long serpentine did have an advantage in size and the agility meant that she was quite fast, too.

Dragonair would attempt to use her long body to trap Raichu and strangle it, wrapping her serpentine body around it. Although she did subject herself to the effects of Static, she had an ability of her own; Shed Skin. If she did successfully wrap the rodent, she would indeed get paralyzed but still be contricting the opponent tightly for a brief moment before her own ability would activate. Her ethereal scale would glow and dissipate with new scales of the same stature forming immediately underneath, replacing her skin and eradicating her status ailment. Tsubasa had initially thought to use wrap to begin with and hurt the Raichu as much as possible but had changed his mind, and then the rodent chose to risk getting itself constricted anyway. The enhanced speed allowing her two move swiftly, she would follow it up with a Leer if she was successful in trapping the Raichu with Wrap. Her eyes would glow red and she would look into Raichu's eyes in an attempt to belittle it and lower its defense, perhaps setting it in its place in the process.

Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title]   Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title] H6Q0F8zSat Apr 25, 2015 5:14 pm

The quick attack had done its job, Surge had now gauged the level of the dragon type, so far he had gathered that the male had simply been assuming his pokemon was stronger, this assumption was correct. Raichu was weaker than the being with the dragon attribute, the quick attack having failing to do any significant damage. It would then be a shock for the opponent to use wrap attack. Knowing full well that contact could potentially cause the dragonair to lose strenght, speed and would also occasinally halt its movement. It was then the shed skin ability kicked in. so this was the plan. Though it would be a weaker move to the dragon type it would still have an effect. And with the Raichu at point blank range the continuous use could deplete the health of the Dragonair rather quickly by continuously releasing the surges. A smile snuck upon the combat soldiers face.

"Thunderbolt over and over again Raichu" commanded the army man. the mouse pokemon would call forth its power, it clenched its eyes closed and shuddered as its entire body and that of the dragon holding it by extention were covered in an aura of thunder. sure it was less than ideal due to its not very effective status but the multiple strikes the Raichu would release over and over again would hopefully begin to deplete the health of the dragon. The thunderbolts would come before the leer so hopefully the dragon would be incapable of releasing it but if not then Raichu would lose some defence. Now surge had two plans, either could happen. If the Raichu were to be dropped then at the point blank range it was possible that it could strike, the enhanced speed of the Dragonair was a problem. If the wrap continued after the strikes then it would be almost impossible to avoid and could potentially end the battle making the rodent the victor.

Now if the dragon dropped the mouse pokemon the command would come as soon as the dragon began to uncoil. If not then the command would come instantly after the final thunderbolt. "Hyper beam" commanded the army man. Yes a move that would cost raichus movements for the next time, it was time for an all or nothing move. Upon the command Raichu would release a powerful beam of intense energy from its mouth directly at the point blank dragon type pokemon. Surge knew this would be the end, one way or another.

Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title]   Tsubasa vs. Lt. Surge!! [ik tis a cheesy title] H6Q0F8zSat Apr 25, 2015 9:33 pm

It would seem that Tsubasa, unbeknownst to himself, was one step ahead of the gym leader. He had not merely assumed that his dragon was stronger than the rodent, he was well aware of the fact. He had estimated Raichu's level to be somehwere in the mid twenties judging from the damage it had done to his two Pokemon whose exact levels he knew. Furthermore, he had anticipated the Thunderbolt from the instant Raichu was wrapped. He was given enough time to improvise with each moment Surge spent verbally giving out orders.

The first thunderbolt struck Dragonair before she used Leer but the move was not very effective due to its typing and that of the dragon, and she had proceeded to use Leer which had successfully lowered the rodent's defense. On Tsubasa's command, Dragonair used her body to move the constricted Raichu more towards her tail than it already was. She was struck twice as she did so but she had enough time to continue her maneuver between each attack for she was still quite agile. The serpent would then try to lift the Raichu with her tail and slam the opponent into the ground hard, using the normal type move Slam! She had attempted to end the battle hoping for the rodent's lowered defense to play a role but would keep the opponent constricted as she was struck a few more times by the thunder bolts. Her health drained slowly but surely as she was struck numerous times, each one inflicting small amount of damage but none causing her to flinch or liberate the Raichu. She would use Slam and simultaneously strangle the opponent and constrict it tighter to wear her down while all the while being struck by the electric type move.

On about the same time Hyper Beam was commanded, Tsubasa had ordered his serpent to use Dragon Rage once again. Hopefully, the Raichu would be constricted and in place and if the Slam wassuccessful, be completely vulnerable. The dragon's superior speed would have allowed her to use the maneuver before Raichu attempted the Hyper Beam. However, the continuous Thunderbolts had worn down the dragon and she would not have been able to survive a collision with a blast of raw power from the normal type move should it be fired. However, Tsubasa was ready to make any necessary moves to ensure his victory and for now it would look like he still had the upper hand.

The Dragonair had used Slam while being struck by the repeated thunderbolts none of which were individually strong enough to cause her to stop her own attack, and had used Dragon Rage before the Hyper Beam, for her superior speed and the repeated use of Thunderbolt gave her time inbetween to showcase her agility.

The pokeball would lift, the red light would shine from it as it connected to the Raichu whom was pinned. its health had been lowered, with the wrap attack constantly lowering its health the slam had done what it needed to. The little creature had been knocked out cold before surge could put his plan to place. The red light had called the mouse back to the combat specialists ball and with that the battle would have ended. "Not bad squirt, yer pokemon seem to respect ya, and they are hella powerful, ya would have made a fine addition to the war if ye were around at that time," Surge would say with a grunt as he began the walk to the other side of the battle field. As he walked his hand would clip the pokeball of the beginner level Raichu to the inside clip of his jacket while at the same time remove another pokeball. A simple toss of the ball would reveal another Raichu. This pokemon looked far more intimidating and powerful than the one that had been the dragons opponent. The strength was noticable within the simple appearance.

Havign cleared the distance with his partner pokemon by side the specialist would simply grunt as he rummaged within his pockets. Withdrawing a sack of money, [$1500] and a small tm disc, he would hand it to the male while nodding his head to the Raichu, this pokemon would extend its tail revealing the thunder badge upon its tail. "The Thunderbadge, blah blah information that your probably dun need. Anyway that tm is shockwave its electrifying, now get going, that Nidoqueen needs some medical attention boy and so does my voltorb." and with that the army man turned around and left heading out of a door located at the back fo the gym.
