Listen...The Pokemon are Speaking to You

In the quiet corner of Striaton city lay the Dreamyard, and at that moment a young girl could be seen sitting on a rock, surrounded by many different pokemon. A Eevee sat in her lap, curled up in a ball and was fast asleep. Several pidove were flocked around her, as well as patrat, purrloin, a few liepard,audino, a munna and even a musharna. They all sat around her, listening to her sing a soft song.

A smile was on her face as she sang. She had grey blue eyes, light blonde hair, and a cute purple outfit. She absently runs her fingers along the Eevee's back, the warm fur beneath her hand making her smile even more. She seemed so...at peace with the pokemon, it seemd as if she belonged there with them.

Ian was sitting on the plane looking outside. He had just come from sinnoh and was going to try and do the contests in unova. All of his former friends had just dissapeared when he had gone to the pokecenter. He couldn't understand why but it made his day allways really bad. He wondered why people allways went away. He wasn't sure if he would find a travel companion however this time he would like to ask to battle first with a bet or something. He looked at the two pokeballs that were on his belt. One was with his chandelure and the other one was with his dusknoir. It were his favorite pokemon and he liked to have their company with him. He still couldn't understand why ghost pokemon were liking him so much.

He could feel the plane land as it began to shook a lot and he was glad when he got of it. He would visit some family in straiton city. He wanted to be sure to visit the dream yard he had heard so much about. He didn't think there would be much ghost pokemon for him but he needed to get some other pokemon as well. However he wanted to be sure to get other pokemon as well or he would stay on for the ghost coordinator.

He stepped out in the fresh air and walked towards his family house in straiton. He knew no one would be there so he would have some time for himself like a small holiday. He looked at the big garden and let his dusknoir and chandelure out as he let them rest in the grass while he made some dinner for them and his own. He knew what his ghost pokemon liked the best since he had made a special recipy for them and knew they enjoyed it. When they had rested the floated in and he could feel their presence before they had arrived. ''Easy guys, I know you are there by the way food is ready'' He said as they appeared again, they looked a bit upset that he had been able to see or find them however when he petted them they didn't seem to mind anymore.

After the dinner he went to the dreamyard. He wanted to see for himself as his pokemon were in their pokeballs and he looked around. He could hear a soft sound, as if someone was signing. It sounded gorgues and he followed the origin of the sound. After a small while he was able to track the source and he saw that it was a girl surrounded by pokemon and he quickly went a bit back. He knew his ghosty like aura which attracted and was loved by ghost pokemon. Was hated by a lot of the other pokemon. He didn't want the girl to hate him cause he made the pokemon which were around her go away as he sat against one of the walls that were close, but just far enough for them not to feel presence as he waited for her to finish singing.

The song soon ends, the girl’s voice slowly fading to silence, a soft smile still on her lips as she continued to pet the Eevee that sat on her lap. Her eyes had a faraway look in them, but even with that look of serenity, she still looked happy. Calm and tranquil, at peace with the world around her. But at the same time, she seemed…sad. Her happy appearance hid a sad interior, hurt and emotions of sorrow flowed through her like the blood that flowed through her veins. But why she was so sad…the reason, she kept to herself, not wanting others to have to bear the pain that she had for so long, all on her own.

She sighs softly, and when she felt a presence nearby, no presence able to hide itself from her, she looks up, her eyes flitting back and forth, and from the way she looked left and right, but not “seeing” it could be determined that the girl was blind, or at least partly, for she could not see all that well. “Dreamer…look around, see if you can find anyone nearby…okay?” She says softly, her voice angelic and kind. The Eevee yips in acknowledgment, and jumps off the girls lap, and in little to no time at all was looking up at the boy who had entered the dreamyard, it’s large brown eyes staring at him, and it’s ears and tail twitching in anticipation.

It yips again, and hops up and down, twirling in circles as if chasing it’s tail, and then hops forward, taking the boy’s pant leg in it’s mouth, and tugging on it playfully. It was as if the Eevee wasn’t afraid, it could tell that this boy was one who dealt with ghost types, but that didn’t frighten it. It tugs on the boy’s pant leg again, before jumping away, and yipping happily, as if telling the boy it was okay to talk to her. “What is it Dreamer? Is there someone there? Or did you find a yummy berry and got distracted?” She giggles softly, before She standing up, and walking towards the sound of her Eevee, and was surprised to see that indeed Eevee found someone. “Oh…hi there…” She mutters softly, feeling shy suddenly, she wasn’t too confident around other people.

Ian had been sitting against the wall with his eyes closed listening to the gorgues singing of the girl. It was pretty gorgues and he knew the pokemon in the area were listening to it as well. The peedoves were softly sitting on the branches with their eyes closed and just like the rest they all had a smile on their face, loving the sounds of the music that the girl was making for the pokemon of the dream yard. However when he sat there with his eyes closed he could hear her stop. It was weird now, it was like a deadly sound had crept up onto him now that the girl was not singing anymore. However what he did hear was a kind of angelic voice that sounded very nice and happy.

It wasn't very long before he could see an eevee apparently called dreamer yapping and running in front of him which looked like it was chasing its tail. This looked very cute and Ian could see that the pokemon had a white scarf around its neck with a red boe tie. He looked down as he felt a tugging on his jeans and saw that the eevee was playfull trying to get him to come and it made a very cute sight. He could hear a girl saying something against the eevee. It was the girl who had just been singing and he actually didn't want to be found out thought but there was not a chance the eevee would let go of him and he could see the girl come into sight. He slowly picked the eevee up and began to pet the eevee's head. It was so cute. ''Uh sorry that I was listening but it was just very gorgues, the sound of you're voice and you're eevee is very cute as well'' He said smiling as he looked at her and kept petting the pokemon awaiting the girl her responds. He hoped that the girl didn't mind he was petting her pokemon and he hoped that the trainer herself didn't mind as well.

The girl takes a step back, but the smile on her face did not go away. Instead she smiles wider at the sight of Dreamer in this newcomers arms. It yips to her, and jumps from his arms to hers, snuggling up against her. She blushes at the boys compliments, and stares at the ground, her pale eyes shifting back and forth. "Um...th-thank you..." She says softly, gently petting the Eevee in her arms.

After a moment she looks up again, her eyes staring intently at the boys face, as if it was hard for her to see him clearly. But even so, sh could sense the ghostly aura around him, but she didn't mind. In fact, it was calming, compared to the lively and rambunxious personalities of the usual people who came through the dream yard. "Uh...are you...a trainer?" She asks softly, her wide eyes still looking at his face.

"What...is your name?" She pauses, closing her eyes, and nods, before he could answer, she opens her eyes and speaks again. "So...your name is Ian Sendo, you are from Nacrene City, Unova, you were just in the Sinnoh region, you just recently came back to Unova, to visit family and start a new adventure...And it seems your Dusknoir and Chandelure are very fond of you, and are extremely loyal. You are a kind trainer, and take great care of your friends." She smiles softly, hugging Dreamer close. "I am Nanamill Miloti, but call me Nana...and this is Dreamer." The Eevee yips happily. She smiles again, and looks at Ian.

He smiles as he sees the eevee yip and then jumps out of his arms to her own trainer her arms where she snuggles up to her. Ian couldn't stop himself from saying ''Awh how cute'' Which had just needed to be said since the cuteness was too much. He was happy that she that she accepted that the compliment he had given her. He knew that some of the people weren't able to and he hoped that it was ok.

He could hear her ask if he was a trainer and he smiled a bit, he was glad that she didn't mind his aura. Most people were really creept out by it but he could tell due to her body language that she was getting relaxed to it, and the second he was glad that she had asked him if he had been a trainer. ''Yeah I am, I am a trainer however I am now trying to do coordinating its just something new you know'' He said giving her a warm smile.

He was just about to awnser the question she asked him which was his name when he heard her give the awnser to it before he had even been able to open his mouth. He could hear that she said where he was from, what his pokemon felt and knew that she had something special too. ''Ah so you can talk with pokemon'' He said smiling. ''I kinda have the same thing but for me I use my aura for it and it only works with ghost pokemon which I don't mind'' He said petting his two pokeballs. He heard her introduce the eevee to him. ''Well its nice to meet you, and you too dreamer'' He said petting the eevee hoping the trainer would not mind as he thought he wouldn't cause he had held and petted the pokemon before. ''Well it would be rude if I didn't introduce my pokemon even though you allready know them'' He said giving her a wink as he threw his pokeballs into the air and in a bright light the dusknoir and chandelura appeared. ''Well meet dusknoir and chandelure'' Just to be safe he went to the eevee and said: ''Dont worry they are very caring'' He said smiling.

Nana listens to what Ian said, and she smiles a bit wider, her eyes widening at the thought of him being a coordinator. She had only heard of such a thing, not actually seeing it in person. He seemed like an interesting person, that was for sure. She knew this because Dreamer didn’t normally just bond to people, the way that she had bonded right away with Ian, letting him pet and hold her so soon. Usually it took time, a lot of time, for the Eevee to get comfortable around people, but with Ian…she seemed perfectly comfortable around him. Maybe it was the calm demeanor about him, or his friendly and quiet personality. Whatever it was, Nana liked it too, she could tell he was definitely different.

Her eyes widen at the thought of meeting the two Pokemon, face to face, and she smiles a big smile when the two ghost types were out of their Pokeballs, and she curtsies to them, before looking up at them, glee written all over her face. Even Dreamer was excited, she was definitely an odd Normal type Pokemon, because usually Pokemon of her type were scared of Ghost types. But not this brave Eevee! She wasn’t scared at all, she jumped down out of Nana’s arms and begin to yip and turn around in circles. It was cute to watch, as the little Eevee made friends with Dusknoir and Chandelure.

While they were playing around, Nana looks over at Ian, wondering what he was like despite being all that his Pokemon had told her. But she felt it would be rude to pry too much, and so didn’t ask anything right then. Instead, she decided to ask something not as personal. “Um…so…is it true that you are starting a new adventure here? Um…if so…is it alright with you if I…join you? I don’t usually travel with other people, I normally just travel with Dreamer and any other Pokemon that is around but…I feel that you are someone who I want to travel with…you aren’t like other trainers…” She blushes slightly, and stares at her feet. “But…if we do travel together…I need to let you know that I…uh, have…some problems…I…I’m partly blind, I mean, I can see…but not very well…And…I’d understand if you didn’t want someone like me to hinder you…” She shuffles nervously, wondering if knowing the fact that she was partway blind would make him not want her to be around.

Ian looked happily to see the eevee run in circles before he had release them. That pokemon would be awesome for contests. The cuteness would be perfect tot let all of the people go into a very loud ''Awh'' and if it could perform some more movements gracefully it would just be a fperfect coordinator pokemon. Maybe he should ask the girl if she would like to try and do a contest as well. However he he was broken out of his trial of thoughts when he heard the girl begin to talk. He had been watching his dusknoir, his chandelure and the girl her eevee play in a medow close to the dream yard.

He had been a bit shocked to hear that she wanted to join a team with him. He had never gotten this request before due to the ghosty like aura that had allways been surrounding him but this was diffrent. She wasn't a person that was intimidated by his aura, and he was glad she wasn't. He didn't have many friends, his only ones were the ghost pokemon on his bank in the pokecenter and the two he had with him. He wanted to catch all the ghost pokemon known to man and he would still use his pokemons from his pc. However there was the part she was partially blind.

''Sure you can join, and don't worry about you being parly blind'' He said in a kind and soothing voice. ''You won't be someone who would hinder me, I hadn't actually noticed until you said so it will all be allright you don't have to worry about anything.'' He said smiling. He wasn't sure what she was and wasn't able to see. There were a few things like eye surgery that would be able to help her get here sight back to normal. He hoped she would maybe take the surgery, it would be a shame that if, and there was a big if in it. that when he would be a part of the grand festival that she would not be able to see him perform. ''Well I think the best thing will be if we go to the pokecenter for the night'' He said as he looked up into the sky where the sun was setting. ''I'm not sure if you like to sleep outside during the night however i prefer a warm bed in a pokecenter, plus I can professor juniper to send me all my pokemon back so you can meet my whole team.'' He said smiling as he awaited her responds and in the mean time looked at his ghost pokemon play tag with the eevee.

Nana's eyes grew wide as she heard Ian say that she could indeed come with, and that it didn't matter she was partly blind. It made her so happy to hear this that tears began to well up in her eyes, and Dreamer stopped playing tag with the two ghost type Pokemon to look at Nana, her big brown eyes filled with worry for her friend. "Th-thank you so much! I promise I won't hold you back!" She smiles widely, and picks up Eevee, who had been pawing at her leg, and buries her face in the Pokemon's soft brown fluffy fur. "This makes me so happy..." She giggles softly, and kisses the tip of Dreamer's nose, Dreamer responding in turn by licking Nana's nose with the tip of her tongue.

When Ian mentions that they should go to the Poke center for the night, Nana gets a worried look in her eye. She never was good around large groups of people, and she hated being inside a building for too long. "Um...I will stay here...If that's alright. The Pokemon keep me warm...It's just I don't like...being in buildings..." She stares at the ground, Dreamer giving her an odd look. She was caught up in wanting to stay outside, but the thought of meeting more of Ian's Pokemon kept tugging at her heart. She sighs softly, then looks at Ian. "How about this? I come for a little bit, as I really want to meet the rest of your team...and then when that's done, I come back here, and in the morning we can set off?"

Ian could see how happy she was that he had allowed her that she would be able to come with him. Apparently she had been so happy that tears had come to her eyes and he could hear her say that she wouldn't hold him down. ''Ah don't worry about it just make sure you have fun'' he said happily smiling as he could see the eevee coming to her and pawing her leg as his chandelure and his dusknoir had come back to him while she picked up her eevee and burried her face in the brown fur while he could hear her giggle and say that it made her very happy to come along. Ian smiled as he was glad that he could have done something for another person. It was cute to see that she kissed the small eevee's her nose and that the pokemon licked her face back.

He had not expected her to get a worried look on her face when he asked her to go to the pokemon center to go and sleep there instead of being outside. He could hear her say why she didn't want to come and thought it was an ok plan, ''Oh sure no prob'' He said smiling knowing what she felt as he had gone through similair situations as well'' He was just about to go to the pokemon center when she heard another proposition of her. ''Oh that would be ok too and don't worry no one there is going to harm you'' he said smiling as he began to the pokemon center which was almost next to the dream yard, so close that you would be able to see it from the dream yard. ''Are you coming'' He asked while turning around and looking at her.''

Smiling widely, Nana nods when Ian turns back to look at her and asked if she was coming. She steps after him, and walks quickly so that she was soon walking next to him, Dreamer in her arms, and a wide smile still on her face. This was going to be the start of something amazing, she just knew it. As they stepped out of the dream yard, and towards the Poke Center, Nana started to get nervous, but she was determined to be brave, stepping a bit closer to Ian and holding Dreamer close to her chest.

"You said that they won't hurt me...right? H-how do you know that? H-how do you know i-if there aren't any...mean people?" She says this to him, her voice shivering with the fear she was trying not to show. She looked down at the Eevee in her arms and sighs softly, hoping things went okay...she was scared, and she wasn't looking forward to going inside. But she did look forward to seeing the Pokemon of Ian, so that was something she could think about when she got nervous.

They walked to the pokemon center and he could feel that the girl next to him was getting more nervous with every step they were getting closer, she didn't have to be worried he knew that no bad people were actually almost ever in a pokemon center and nurse joy was one of the kindest people of all. He noticed it by that she was getting closer to him with every step and that he could see she held her eevee a bit closer to her chest then when they had been in the dream yard.

When they had gone he could hear her asking if there would be any bad people in the pokemon center and he couldn't help but smile and laugh a small bit. ''Nah don't worry everyone is very nice here they aren't evil or something believe me the pokemon center is one of the safest places to be'' He said as the doors opened automaticly and they came in a room full of trainers, some young ones were playing tag while waiting on their pokemon, others were talking and others were reading. They didn't even notice them. Ian went to a machine and got all his pokemon out. ''Well here they are'' He said as they had gone to a bit more secluded area and he had thrown his pokeballs into the air. Dusknoir and chandelure had stayed around but a Yamask, a Gengar and a shuppet came out and showed themselves to her.

"O-okay...." Nana whispers, and she pauses when they reach the building, staring up at the sign and door, her whole body trembling. She takes a deep breath, and then steps inside, her steps shaking, and she felt like she was going to pass out. But she had nothing to worry about, as none of the people who were inside even noticed them come in. At first anyways. They go over to a machine, and Ian gets the rest of their Pokemon, and once he had they go to a quieter corner, and Ian lets the Pokemon out.

At the sight of the Yamask, Gengar, and Shuppet, a lot of Nana's nervousness disappeared, and a smile forms on her face, though it was obvious she was still nervous, though not as much as before. She curtsies to the Pokemon, giggling softly when the Yamask floats over to her, and peers at her with it's big yellow eyes, and when Suppet gently floated over and landed on her head. "Heehee, that's too kind. Thank you..." She looks over at Ian, and smiles. "They said they thought I seemed like a nice person, and that their friend picked a good person to travel with." Dreamer began to yip happily, her tail wagging.

When he had thrown up his pokeballs and his pokemon had appeared he could have noticed that his pokemon had liked the girl he had taken along with him. He could sens it as his gengar stayed by his side with a bit of mischief in his eyes. Ian saw it and petted the gengar. ''Gengar I know you like to do jokes on my friends, but maybe later ok, she is a bit shy'' He whispered to his Gengar as he looked at the pokemon and the gangar nodded. He knew that his gengar loved to pull pranks on Ian his friends, and since he had just met the girl he would like to wait a bit before his pokemon would pull a prank on the girl.

He smiled when he could see his yamask look at the girl and shuppet landing on the girl her head. He was glad his pokemon liked the girl and he could see dreamer yip happily, maybe she liked it that she had found some new play mates, anyway it was getting late. ''Come on guys time to go to bed, its getting pretty late'' He said as the pokemon hovered or walked back to him as he returned them to their pokeball. ''I hope you like them'' Ian said smiling as he looked at the girl and placed the pokemon back on the pc as they were transported back to the professor. ''However I started a new adventure here so i rather want to try go with them for now'' He said smiling as he he looked at the girl. ''So are you sure you don't want to spend the night here, you don't have to worry, nurse joy is one of the nicest persons in the world and the people here are also nice, no one bad is here'' He said as he looked at the girl awaiting a responds.

With slightly sad eyes Nana watched as the Pokemon returned to their Poke-balls, and when Ian asked if she liked them she nodded. "Yes, I really did. They were so kind, and gentle." She petted Dreamer on the head and listened to what he said about starting a new adventure and going without them for now. She didn't know why he would want to do that, but it was his choice, so she stays quiet, gently running her fingers through Eevee's fur. For a while she says nothing, but when Ian asks if she was sure she didn't want to stay in the Pokecenter she looks up at him and nods, a soft smile on her lips. "Yes, I am sure. I'm not trying to seem distant or wanting to be left alone it's just..." She falls silent, and smiles again. "Don't worry...I'll be alright."

She looks into his eyes, her own wide. She searched his face, as if looking for something, but eventually begins to blush lightly, and turns away. "Well...good night!" She says in a rushed voice, and hurries from the building, and once outside she begins to run towards the Dream Yard, and once in the quiet place she goes towards a sort of corner, and sits down in the grass, which was perfect for a bed. She curls up, and sure enough, as she had told Ian earlier, the Pokemon came to her, and began to curl up against her, their warmth and softness like a perfect blanket, and a Purrloin even lets her use it's side as a pillow. She held her Eevee close, and eventually dozes off, a small smile on her lips. She wondered if Ian would have followed her...she blushed at the thought.

Ian had seen that the girl had been sad that the pokemon would have to return to their pokeballs but he had been glad that she had liked him so much and that the pokemon had liked the girl so much. He had been worried they might have acted a bit rude but was glad they hadn't. However when he had asked her if she really wouldn't have wanted to sleep in the pokemon center and he had not liked the sadness that he had seen on her face. He had become a bit worried that something had been wrong instead of that there had been something going on.

He knew that she would go back to the dreamyard and he tried his best not to do anything so he was sure she couldn't hear him and he could see a smile and a blush on her face when he had arrived and looked at her while a lot of pokemon had cuddled up towards her. He wondered where her parents had been at this time but he thought that it would be really rude just go around and have a peek. He was glad she was ok and he also went to bed.

When he had awoken he got ready and went to the dream yard seeing if she was allready awake so they would be able to start their adventure around the region as he saw her still afsleep, he didnt want to wake her op so he waited a bit.

By the next morning Nana was still asleep, though she was slowly beginning to wake up, the sounds of the bird Pokemon singing filling her ears. She opens her eyes, and then yawns, sitting up slowly, stretching her arms over her head, and then smiling when she saw the pile of berries that were set next to where she was laying. She picks one up, and pops it in her mouth, smiling at the sweet taste that filled her mouth. She pokes Dreamer awake, and giggles softly at the Eevee's reaction. She rubs noses with the fluffy brown Pokemon before offering it a berry, which it eats happily.

After a moment she looks around, sensing someone nearby, and wonders if it was Ian, so to check she calls out to him. "Ian? Are you there?" She calls, looking around, rubbing her eyes so as to clear her vision a little, though to be honest it didn't help very much. "Please come out, I can't see you...If you would like you can have some of these berries. They are nice." She smiles, and waits for him to appear, eating another berry, this time it was a little sour but still tasted amazing.

Ian had a lovely breakfast this morning in the pokecenter which had consisted of toast, eggs bacon and some yoghurt. He had gotten permission from nurse joy to take some with him as he had taken some bread in some paper, and the rest in small plastic bowls that were in his back so they wouldn't get hunrgy while they were away. He had also gotten some vegetable so their supper would be the leftovers which he had gotten from nurse joy and in the evening a soup of fresh vegetables, he wasn't a master chef but he liked too cook.

He could hear the girl ask if he was there, she had probably sensed his presence allready. ''Yeah I am here'' He said as he came into her vision, sorry that i didn't show myself, I didn't want to wake you up'' He said giving her a kind smile. He could see the pile of berries next to her and he could see her eating. ''No thanks I had breakfast in the pokecenter'' He said smiling as he tepped his belly smiling. ''I brought some plastic bowls so if you dont wanne eat all the berries we can put them in those to take them with us'' Ian said as he looked at the big pile not wanting the pokemon which had taken them to have taken them for nothing. He waited for a little while to let Nana eat before saying: ''Are you ready to go?'' As he awaited an awnser.

As Ian showed himself, Nana smiles up at him, glad that he had shown himself to her. She blinks when he showed her some plastic bowls, apparently they were for the berries she didn't eat. When she was done, she placed whatever berries were left over into the bowl, and then places them in the bag at her side. She stands up, and stretches, Dreamer jumping up and down, yipping happily. "Yeah, I'm ready. Let's go!" She smiles, and wonders where their travels will take them. But she was glad she was trying something new, she was scared, but at the same time so happy. "Dreamer! You ready for an adventure?" She asks the Eevee at her feet, before scooping it up in her arms, and nuzzling it, the brown Pokemon yipping in agreement. "Heehee, looks like she's ready too." She smiles at Ian, and waits, wondering where their path would lead.

The sun was in the early stages of rising above the hills that could be seen far in the east, it was nice weather, it was pretty cool now since it was morning but he knew it would be pretty warm in the noon and after noon. He had even heard people say that it would be a nice warmish night, which would be perfect to sleep under the stars since the next town was far away. ''Ok so I am not going to do contests here, I would like to see if I have the battle blood still in me if you know what i am saying'' Ian said giving her a wink. He hadn't fought gym battles for so long he and his dusknoir and chandelure were used to fighting in the contests halls now and there it didn't matter about power, you needed to show of you're pokemon in the best ways possible and get you're opponents points down. ''Why wouldn't you try a contest'' Ian said as he looked at the girl. ''They are really fun and I can help you with it and then you can see if you llike or don't like them'' Ian had said smiling as they walked further on the sandy road kicking up a bit of gravel as they walked by in the morning.

As they walked, Dreamer padding along side them, Nana listens to what Ian was saying, a smike on her face the whole time. She glances at him, noticing himwink at her and causing her to blush and look. "Yeah, I understand...but as for doi g a contest...I...I don't know if I am ready for that, and besides...contests are usually crowded right?" She sighs softly, running her fingers through her hair. She felt terrible about her fear of crowded places, itmade her feel she was only going to drag Ian down with her.

"But...I would like to hear about what you do in one...I have never seen one yet...what happens?" She walks a little closer to him, and looks at his face, curiosity written all over her own. She truly wanted to know what these contests were all about.

He looked at the girl as she was blushing to him, as he smiled. ''Well contests are indeed crowded but you can also watch it on a tv at home and stuff'' He said as he looked at her.
