The beginning of an adventure! Many new friends!

Kouhei's Outfit:

Kouhei crawled out of bed, struggling to untangle himself from the mixture of blankets, machines and wire that had made its way into his sleeping space. Sometimes being an engineer became so messy. Looking across the room, the noise of Kouhei pushing machines onto the floor had already awoken Bonsly, who still slept in the flowerpot that Kouhei had first found him in. Kouhei half jumped and half fell out of bed upon realising that today was the first day of their adventure. He scooped up Bonsly and put him on the floor, then sat so that he could talk to him. "Are you ready to start Bonsly? We're gonna meet lots of new friends!" Asked Kouhei, a tone of excitement in his voice. "Bons-Bonsly!" Chanted Bonsly in return.

Kouhei was much too excited to get dressed, and his mother had no problem with it, so Kouhei set out in the frog onesie that was his usual sleep outfit. People in town knew Kouhei well enough that they didn't question this behaviour, but nearing the outskirts he did get a few strange looks. He stopped just outside of Cerulean city, where there was a patch of grass that pokemon and trainers were often found in. Kouhei hoped to find a grass pokemon, as having one would give him an advantage against Brock & Misty. As he rounded the corner, Kouhei came face to face with a-

An Omanyte crawled out of a bush and eyed the trainer, waving it's tentacles.


Level 16

Kouhei eyed the Omanyte, sizing it up. He was actually a little surprised to see one around here, as he hadn't seen one before. It was obviously a water type, which put Bonsly at a disadvantage. It seemed friendly enough and even waved at Kouhei, so he decided to go ahead and try to negotiate. He pulled a cookie from the dispenser strapped to his onesie and held it out to the omanyte, saying in a friendly tone "Hey there little guy. Do you want a cookie? You wouldn't happen to want to join me and Bonsly here on an adventure would you? Bon- Bonsly-Bonsly! Exclaimed Bonsly, attempting to convince the Omanyte that Kouhei was a great and friendly trainer.

Omanyte blinked, listening to the Bonsly. After it was done, it blinked at the trainer again and suddenly squirted a jet of water at him. Waving it's tentacles playfully, it appeared to have an impish nature as it wiggled around, finding great humour in squirting water on someone.

Kouhei laughed like a small child as he was splashed in the head with water, and smiled at the way that the small pokemon jiggled around. Perhaps that was the pokemon equivalent of laughing? He once again held out the cookie as a form of encouragement, and said happily "So, how about it?" Putting the cookie down near the pokemon, and held out a pokeball, giving the Omanyte the chance to push the button itself.

Omanyte eyed the pokeball, having never seen one. It took the cookie in a tentacle and held it up, staring at it before nibbling at it (How do they eat? I never saw any mouth...) and exclaiming happily, dropping a few crumbs around. It gobbled up the whole thing before wiggling around again but this time, it accidently rolled up on it's shell. Rolling around, it contacted the pokeball and was sucked in. The ball struggled weakly once before it sealed.

Kouhei laughed as the Omanyte accidentally caught himself, and hoped that really counted as actually catching him! He let the Oma-chan out and sat him on his shoulder. He wiggled around happily, then crawled onto Kouhei's head. Kouhei preferred to travel with his pokemon outside of their pokeball, as it gave a better sense of unity. He felt like Oma-chaan would do well against brock, but decided to keep looking for a trainer or maybe a wild pokemon to battle with, and test out Hachi and Oma-Chan's skills.

Suddenly the ground started rumbling. A couple of Donphan appeared round the bend, rolled up and moving at a great pace. Suddenly stopping, they unrolled and crashed onto the ground, the ground trembling beneath their feet.

Level 25

(It's a double battle.)

While walking along, Kouhei started to hear a loud rumbling, and after looking down at his stomach realised that the ground was shaking too. "I can't be that hungry, can I?" Kouhei asked no one in particular, and his answer was answered as if by magic. Two massive gray shapes appeared, at a high speed, causing Kouhei to jump behind a small shrub. They stopped a few metres in front of Kouhei, and both looked like they wanted to battle. "Okay then! Hachi, Oma-Chan, lets do this! He yelled as both pokemon jumped from their places in front of Kouhei. In the three man team, everyone looked determined, and Kouhei yelled a command to his Pokemon "Okay, Hachi, use smack down on the pokemon to the left, and Oma-Chan, use constrict on the one on the left! Hold him so that he won't bother us while we take out the other! Each pokemon attempted to do as they were told, leaping towards their respective foe.

Both Donphan snorted and then, in perfect sync, rolled up and rolled at a high speed towards both pokemon, plowing through the attacks with minimum damage. Keeping their Rollout unbroken, they barrelled towards their opponent, planning to swerve around after the first hit.

Both pokemon were absolutely crushed by the donphans attacks, leaving them bruised. Both were definitely damaged, and it came as no surprise to Kouhei. These two pokemon were massively stronger than them Kouhei wasn't sure whether to concede or not, and was about to pull out the pokeballs for his pokemon when he heard the words "B-Bonsly!" Kouhei knew that this was Bonsly, telling him to put the pokeballs away. With a newfound confidence, Kouhei yelled to his pokemon "Ok guys, If we can't outspeed or power them, lets just make life more difficult! Hachi, jump and use copycat to give those donphan an attack of your own! Strike from above! Oma-Chan, use water gun on the ground, make it slippery so that they can't control where they're going! You'll get a good laugh out of this one!" Bonsly jumped into the air, where it curled into a ball and headed for the donphan that he had attacked previously. Omanyte also did as was told, attempting to make the ground slippery.

One Donphan broke out of it's Rollout attack and the effort it took to do so was evident. The other Donphan battled it's own Rollout against the Bonsly's. Tossing it's head, the first Donphan charged forward and released multiple glowing light blue icicles from its mouth at the opponent. It used Ice Shard (EM), knowing it would hit hard.

Kouhei knew that these pokemon together were a tough match. He would have to work hard to make it, but with his pokemon as tired as they were, the future was uncertain. He saw one donphan about to use a move, and instructed omanyte to dodge it. Omanyte, in a quick roll, managed to avoid the swarm of ice shards and upon Kouheis orders used rollout on the same donphan as Bonsly. They would overpower it with numbers. (Hopefully)

Both Donphan jump into the air, dodging the attacks, and begin stomping on the ground, shaking the battlefield, using Bulldoze.

Acting of their own accord, both pokemon jumped out of the attacks area, using rollout to get out in time. Upon Kouhei's command, Oma-chan used aurora beam while Hachi used fake tears in an attempt to lower the Donphans Special attack harshly.

Donphan #1 countered the Aurora Beam with it's own Ice Shard as the other one tossed it head and rushed forward, using Tackle on Bonsly.

Kouhei watched as both pokemon were hit by the attacks. Deciding that both pokemon had had enough, he pulled out the pokeballs and withdrew his pokemon. "Thankyou Donphan! I would've liked to finish this fight, and most would say that me running away is weakness. But, I believe that this is a test, and any good trainer couldn't bear seeing their pokemon being hurt this badly." Kouhei said, in a strange show of maturity. With that, he smiled at the donphan, and waited to see if they would respond.

Nodding it's head, one of the Donphan looked understanding. But the other one tossed it's head and flapped it's ears. Pawing the ground, it looked ready to charge. The first one quickly charged in the way and pushed it back, but the other one battled on. Quickly, a clash began between the two and suddenly, the aggressive one pushed the first one down and snorted. Shifting it's gaze to the defensceless trainer, it pawed again and rolling up into a ball, charged at Kouhei, tossing up dust on either side.

In panic at the fight, and the upcoming fight, Kouhei yelled at the the top of his voice "Stop!" and moved out of the way of the rollout, just in case.

Donphan payed no attention as it whirled, showering tons of dust in the air and rolled towards Kouhei again. The other Donphan quickly charged in the way, holding off the rampaging one.

(Okay. I just put this in randomly and it became plot. How do i end this? Shall I get another wild encounter to step in or something....?)

(OOC: I have no idea, its completely up to you. Mind, the whole time I was writing Kouhei's little speech, I was just chanting in my head "Phanpy egg, Phanpy egg" So if you want to take it in that direction, it's fine with me.)

Kouhei watched as the two pokemon fought. They looked like siblings, and the one thing Kouhei couldn't stand to see was siblings fighting. Tears streamed from his eyes as he remembered the fun filled days that he had spent with his sister, before her death. Swallowing his misery, Kouhei called out, tears still streaming from his eyes. "Please stop! You're family! You should never fight with your family, because you never know when they might disappear! So please, stop fighting!"

The aggressive Donphan paid no attention. Suddenly, there was a light, almost inaudible fluttering. A Swoobat hovered there as it released it's ultrasonic waves to calm the two fighters down.

(Wow, RNG. It seems to have a mind of it's own.)

Kouhei watched as the swoobat flew down. It probably would've been wise to run, but Kouhei wanted to see the result of whatever this swoobat was doing.

The Donphan trumpeted a bit then quietly rumbled off. Swoobat watched them go and then turned it's head to face Kouhei, blinking.

Kouhei bowed to the Swoobat, thanked it, then turned and started to head towards the pewter pokemon center.
