New friend?

Kiko had started her journey the other day and the adventure had brought her to Floccesy town, the town next to her hometown of Aspertia. Her Petilil was following next to her, happily looking around at all the new sites. Kiko was walking around in the grass looking for her first wild pokemon. She was excited to see what she could find.

Dozing in the tall grass was a sleepy Mareep, a sight usually only found in the area. The Pokemon didn't seem hostile and was more focused on her snack of berries than the trainer and Pokemon. She could be ignored if Kiko so wished.

Mareep, Female, Level 5

Kiko and Petilil came across a sleepy mareep in the grass. Kiko's first thought was that it was SO CUTE and she would have loved to add it to her party. It seemed so peaceful, so she did not want to attack it in its drowsy state. So instead, Kiko slowly walked up to it and reached out a hand. "Hello little one, mind if I pet you a bit? You are just so adorible." Kiko was hoping that it did not suddenly turn hostile and attack out of the blue.

The Mareep seemed quite docile, for she just looked up to the trainer and said, "Reep," with a shrug, continuing her meal. She didn't recoil from the trainer's hand, and wouldn't seem to mind being touched. There was a slight static in her wool though, and it would give a static shock to Kikio if she placed her hand there, but not one of the Pokemon's intention or malice.

The Mareep just shrugged in response, and proceeded to eat the berries it had. Kiko touched the wild pokemon and flinched, the sudden shock had startled the trainer. Hiwever, it was nothing that hurt too much and Kiko tried again, moving past the slight pain. As Kiko stroked the soft wool, she smiled. She already loved this thing. She had to have it. "My name is Kiko and This is Petilil. If you want, you can come on an adventure with us! It would be fun!" Kiko held out an empty pokeball and smiled to show the Mareep what she meant. Even petilil was trying to encourage the wild pokemon, happily hopping around the Mareep, going "Lil lil!"

"Mareep..." the wild Pokemon said in thought. She had been raised around visiting trainers, and the thought of it had intrigued her. She knew she wouldn't get far continuing to live in Floccessy: never evolve, never see the world, and this sent a pang through her heart. Looking to her home, she made her decision. "Mareep." she said in finality, touching her nose to the Pokeball and quickly being sucked inside. With no fight put up, she was caught.

Kiko Had sucessfully catptured the Mareep, much to her delight. "Welcome to the family!" She said as she put the pokeball back into her bag. She was not one to nickname her friends, and therefore chose not to do so. Kiko could have stopped there, but there was still the matter of getting some training in for Petilil. So Kiko decided to keep goIng and see what else she could find.

(Aries has been approved but, he gonna have to catch up with you soon cause he gotta go take on the Aspertia Gym, unless you wanna tag along to the gym?)

(Ill stay here, Kiko is a coordnator so the gym won't do much good, plus I wanted to train a bit. ^^)

Rustling within the grass nearby was a Patrat, who seemed to want a fight by the looks of all of the battle scars across his body. He hadn't noticed the trainer and Pokemon yet, so he could be taken by surprise.

Patrat, Male, level 7

Kiko and Petilil continued their search for wild pokemon and came across a patrat in the grass. It had yet to see Kiko or her partner So they had a chance for a surprize attack. "Petilil use Leech seed!" "Lil!" Petilil tried to plant a seed on Patrat.

"Rat!" the Patrat cried out in surprise. He hadn't expected an attack, and thus couldn't think of dodging. The seeds burrowed into him and slowly sapped his energy. Baring his jagged teeth toward Petilil, his eyes narrowed and gained a red glint for a moment, a Leer aimed to lower her defenses.

Petilil Did not really know what to think about Patrat's momentary glowing red eyes and She lowered her guard. Kiko Concidered her next move and she decided to go offensive because it was easiest for her. "Petilil! Use Absorb!" Petilil obeyed and tried to absorb the neutrients from the wild Patrat.

The Absorb's strange green glow made contact with Patrat, and he could do nothing but stagger as his energy and nutrients were sucked from him and transfered to Petilil. A dark energy built inside him, and he lashed out at the small Pokemon using Pursuit, and egg move. After he did so, another green glow surrounded his body as the seeds leeches his energy.

Petilil successfully sucked some of the energy from the Patrat. Patrat had Pursuited the Bulb Pokemon and it was sucessful, though Petilil's leech seed Returned some of the energy to Petilil. "Petilil, You are doing great! Use Absorb again!" Petilil Obeyed, using the same tactic as before, since it seemed to work so well last time. Don't fix what isn't broken right?

The Absorb connected again, and obvious fatigue seemed to envelop Patrat. He tried to lash out with another Pursuit, but it wasn't well executed due to his growing weakness. As the Leech Seed stole away more energy, he stumbled. He would be knocked out in one more hit.

Kiko noticed that the patrat seemed sort of tired. So when the fatigued pokemon attempted another pursuit, "Petilil Dodge it and use absorb!" "Petilil!" Petilil Moved to the side so that Patrat missed with its pursuit. Then she turned around and used absorb for what would hopefully be the last time.

It was, in fact, the last time. Even though Patrat managed to dive away from the oncoming Absorb in his last bit of strength. The seeds burrowed within him took the last bit of energy he had and transferred it to Petilil, taking out her vermin foe.

Petilil gained 7 Exp!

"Petilil! petilil we did it!" Petilil looked up at Kiko with her eyes sparkling after she brought down the patrat. Kiko was proud of her and she knew it. The bulb poke mon Jumped into Kiko's out stretched arms and was given a big loving hug. Kiko and her partner had won their very first battle and it was so rewarding. Of course now, it was getting dark and Kiko should probably get to the main residence area of Floccesy Town to find a place to stay. With petilil in her arms, She left to locate a place to rest until the next day.
