Acer: Trainer, Savior, Adventurer, Hero.

Scyther moved to the right, missing with Quick Attack, but dodging the Cut at the same time. He quickly fell back, fearful of Kabutops. The goon let go of Sapphire, then turned, ready to fight Dan, when a Machoke was thrown at him from the hole in the floor. "I think this is yours?" Terran teased, standing in the doorway, Gabite in front of him. "The others are on their way up, Nidoking thought you might want them back." The rest of the kidnappers' Pokémon were thrown through, followed by the sound of Nidoking stomping up the stairs. "Trust me when I say you don't want to fight this guy, Mr. Acer will seriously hurt you." One of the goons was flattened under his own Machoke, but the rest took off, returning their Pokémon to their Pokeballs as they left. "These guys are so stupid..."

Sapphire ran free and hugged Acer in a Bear Hug, scared. "Oh Dan!" she cried. Dan rubbed her back. Then he turned to the Grunt beneath the Machoke, kicked his head, and gave him a super angry look. "WHO ARE YOU?!" he yelled.

"I'm no one," the grunt spat, "and I'm not telling you anything either. Let me go!" He struggled from under the Machoke, but he couldn't get himself free.

Dan bent down, pulled the guy's hair, then gave him an evil eye. "You WILL talk. Nobody messes with MY family!" said Dan. Sapphire suddenly looked worried. "Dan...Dan! Where's Kyler?!" she said.

Dan looked up at his wife. "Oh yeah, he's with Abra out in the boundaries. I'll send for him to come back." said Dan. He stepped out to the balcony and gave a sharp whistle that echoed through the town. "I could get them for you, master." said Kabutops. "No, it's alright. They'll be here any second. Abra will teleport." said Dan. Then he looked over at Terran. "Terran, call the cops, or rangers. Someone!" he said.

The grunt locked his jaw and gritted his teeth, refusing to say anything. He had taken more torture from his rival team. He spat at Dan again, and remained silent, still struggling to get out of his pinned position.

Dan wiped off the spit from his shoe on the Goon's face. Sapphire paced around, worried for the safety of her son. Suddenly, there was flash in the downstairs living room. Abra and Kyler appeared there. "Daddy? Mommy!" said Kyler. He ran up the stairs, and Sapphire may as well have been on an engine, she raced straight to Kyler. Kyler must not have been ignorant to the whole situation, he ran straight to his mother, with worried expressions. Sapphire squeezed Kyler in a gigantic hug, basically crying. "Kyler!! I'm so glad you're safe!!" she said, tears drizzling from her eyes. "Momma, I was worried. That-That you'd be gawn." Kyler said, almost as scared as Sapphire. He wasn't as stiffly worried as his mother, but he was basically crying too. Dan kneeled over to them, and hugged his family. "I'm sorry Sapphire. I should've been there from the start. I will NEVER let any harm come to either of you. I promise" he said. Sapphire looked up at her husband with tear-filled eyes. "I know Dan. I love you." she whispered.

Dan kissed her head. Then he went over to Terran. "Tell me young man. Just who are you and how are you Affiliated with the Pokémon Rangers." he said.

(I'm still a bit confused, but if I get anything wrong, just tell me and I'll fix it. ^ ^)
Terran stood somewhat stiffly, slightly taken back by the rough approach. Clearing his throat, he spoke with a clear voice.
"My name is Terran and I work for the Pokemon Rangers. I'm glad that you and your family are unharmed."
He hoped that nothing bad would come out of this since Dan sounded as though he suspected Terran of something.

(If you're confused I'll answer any questions)

"Well I thank you for your assistance. When will the authorities or, your rangers arrive to question this scumbag. " Dan said referring to the caught goon.

"They should be here in a few minutes." Terran replied, relaxing as Dan seemed to trust him. As if on cue, some rangers appeared on top of Pokemon. One of them seemed to have arrived on their Dodrio and the other two appeared to have arrived on a Fearow and Pidgeot. They acknowledged Terran and Dan with a nod, then moved to grab the goon Dan had captured.

"Hey uh, just out of curiosity, do any of you know a man named Cale Orski? He's a veteran Pokemon Ranger." Said Dan to the other Pokemon rangers as they were bringing the Guy up and also to Terran

"Cale Orksi..."
Terran thought for a few seconds as the other Rangers seemed to busy with the struggling 'prisoner' to answer. His eyes automatically lit up and he shouted,
"Cale Orksi! Yes, he's a famous Ranger in my base. Why do you ask? Do you know him?"

"You know who I am right? Cale's a friend of mine. He's the man who made me the guy I am today. We traveled together." Dan said. He looked over at the family love going over his shoulder. "...and he's how I met Sapphire. I really looked up to him in those days." he remembered all the good times we had with the Unfezant III's crew. "Say Terran...how old are you again?" he said. He didn't think Terran would be more or less than the average Pokémon Trainer, which is age 10-13.

(I'm assuming Terran is a random NPC for this so I'm putting whatever age I can think of right now. XD)
"Me? I'm 15 years old. Why do you ask?" Terran replied with a smile. This Dan person was obviously a very good friend of Cale. No imposter would look so happy to be talking about him.
The other Rangers managed to restrain their prisoner and their Pokemon carried him in their talons. The Rangers saluted to Terran and he acknowledged them with a nod, and they were off.

Dan smiled at Terran. "Well, I wouldn't expect you to have remembered the Forge's Destruction. After all, you were probably 5 or 6 when it happened. Maybe you did, but I don't know. But anyway, Cale's a good friend." he said. Then, Dan felt a hand on his shoulder as another voice cut in. "And he couldn't be any prouder, Danny boy." it said. Dan turned around and his face lit up. "I...I don't believe it." he said with a surprised expression. Standing behind him was a Man in about his late 30's or Early 40's. The man smiled at Dan. "Cale!" Dan said. "How ya doin kid. Man, you've grown up. Barely recognized you!" said Cale. Dan hugged him. "My god, it's been a while!" he said. Cale hugged back. "Yes it has."

Cale turned to Terran. "Well Terran, good work. I liked the way you've handled those Pokémon. You'd make a great Pokémon yourself, kid." he patted his hair.

Terran immediately thanked Cale for the compliment and wore an even wider smile than before. He seemed very happy to be complimented, especially by Cale.
This might just be one of my best days, ever! he thought to himself with a cheeky smile.
"Mr. Orksi, sir? Could you tell me how you came to know Dan?"
This question was stuck in his head ever since Dan had told him they were friends.

Both Cale and Dan looked down at Terran. "Well Terran, it's a long story to begin with." said Cale. Dan started the story. "See I Grew up in this Shelter called The Refuge, in Vermillion City. But then, when I was younger, YOUR age as a matter of fact, Cale took this one visit at the Refuge." Then Cale took over: "I often visited that place but I never ran into Dan until this one day. We were asked to escort Prof. Oak's assistant, Sapphire, to an office were rare Pokémon Fossils were said to have been discovered, but she wanted to see what we did in our Spare time, so we showed her the refuge."

Then Dan spoke again: "But those Fossils were fake. The long disbanded Team Rocket's then-leader wanted her to get her on his side and give him Pokémon information vital to his plans. Those fossils were only to lure her into their grasp. But when they saw she went into the refuge, they decided to just ambush there. And I was caught in the middle of it." he allowed Cale to Speak.

Cale: "All of the other Rangers and Residents tried to fight them off, but what nobody else knew was that the Refuge was an old military base and had plenty of escape pods. I ran into Dan, and escaped in a pod with him. And we crashed in one of the Orange Islands. Sapphire's pod also crashed there. Me and Dan teamed up, we found Sapphire, met a few other people, and escaped that place."

"And THAT'S only the beginning. That's where all our adventures took off." Dan laughed. "So that's how we know eachother.

Terran looked surprised.
"Wow. That must've been an exciting day!" he said in response to hearing the story. He was surprised that Dan and Cale had met under such circumstances.
"Did you see any cool Pokemon there? I've heard that there were rare Pokemon on the Orange Islands."
He acted almost like a small child again, obviously very excited by the story.

Both Dan and Cale roared with laughter. "Haha! Yeah right. A day! That whole adventure took almost half a week, but the adventure all together...I can't even describe how long that took!" said Dan. "Almost an entire year, I think." said Cale. "And Terran...well, Mandarin Island is not as nice as you think. It's got underground tunnels with gang wars, and Pokémon Poachers and...who knows what else was there. So maybe on another island, but definitely not Mandarin Island." said Dan.

Cale stood up. "Anyway...where's Mrs. Acer...?" he said. He looked over at the young woman coddling her toddler son in tears. Then he walked over to Sapphire. "Ahh...seems only yesterday when Dan brought you back from rescuing you from that Dark Emerald gang." he said. Sapphire finally looked up, and the sight of Cale brightened her up. "C-Cale!" she cried as she got up and threw her arms around him. "Cale! I'm so Glad to see you!" she said. Cale hugged her back. "Yes, and I'm sorry about the circumstances to this meeting." he said. When Sapphire detached, Kyler stood up. "Momma...who's he?" he asked. "My my, who's this little guy?" said Cale. "Oh, Cale. This is our son, Kyler. And Kyler this is our friend, Cale." said Dan. "Hi there Kyler!" said Cale as he ruffled Kyler's hair. Kyler backed off, as all of the adults laughed.

Then Sapphire turned and looked at Terran. "Hey uh Dan, who is this young man?" she asked. "Oh him?" said Dan. He went over to Terran and put a hand on his shoulder. "This young man, helped me rescue you. If it weren't for him, I would've had a harder time getting to you." he said. "Oh, well thank you Terran. I'm Sapphire, it's nice to meet you." she said politely to Terran.

"Oh, please Mr. Dan... I just did what I thought was right..." Terran said in response to Dan's statement about him. He blushed just slightly from it, and scratched the back of his head after Sapphire thanked him.
"I was just doing my job..." All of these compliments seemed to really get to Terran. Averting his gaze from the ground and back to Sapphire, he replied, "I'm just glad that no one got hurt."

" 'Doing what you thought was right'...that's exactly what motivated me to do all of that stuff." said Dan with a smile. Sapphire smiled at the young man, and Dan turned to a dresser surprisingly undamaged. "I'm just glade these weren't damaged. Sapphire would've flipped." he said. He referred to three picture frames on the dresser. One was from 9 years ago, and was a photo of a group outside of a giant aircraft. It showed a younger Dan, Sapphire, and Cale with a bunch of other people and Pokémon. It was their adventure group. The one in the middle was from five years ago, and showed Dan in a tuxedo with Sapphire in a wedding dress. It was a picture of their wedding. The other one showed a baby boy sitting against a background and laughing. It was a baby picture of Kyler.

Kabutops suddenly came in from the balcony. "They are all gone sir. Those meatbags shouldn't be coming here anytime soon." he said. Kabutops spoke fluent English in a swifty british accent. "Good job Kabutops." said Dan. "Ahh, Cale sir! A pleasure to see you again." Kabutops said with a bow. "Likewise, Kabutops." said Cale. Dan looked at Terran, wondering how surprised he'd be too see a talking Kabutops.

Terran's eyes were wide with shock upon hearing the Kabutops speaking.
"How? What? Wait, dyaah???" he stuttered and stammered, eventually becoming too stunned to even speak. He gaped at the Kabutops and just keep pointing at it.

"Huh? Oh yeah. Kabutops can talk." said Dan. Kabutops nodded. "And since I was a Kabuto, too." he said. "Yeah. Some shopkeeper raised him from a fossile and taught him to speak. His vocabulary wasn't too good at first, but once it evolved it got better. Then we got him, and he's been my friend ever since." said Dan.

Kabutops suddenly got angry eyed. "If I ever see that shopkeeper again..." he said in a low, growly voice, and started sharpening his sword arms thinking of his previous owner. "Heheh...except he's got kind of a temper sometimes..." said Dan. "Eternal Meatbag..." said Kabutops. "And he says that. A lot..." said Dan.

Kabutops then snapped back into reality. "Don't forget Master, it was your father who had originally brought me back from the fossil." he said, normal voiced again. "Oh yeah...my Dad, yeah..." Dan said, knowing that his Father, Balthazar, who was one of the founders of Team Rocket had revived a Kabuto and abandoned him. That Kauto is now his loyal Kabutops.

"Well, I hope that summed it up well for you, Terran." said Dan.

"Wow. I should teach my partner Pokemon to speak! That would probably be awesome!"
Terran felt like a small child again; easily getting excited over things like this. His eyes shined and sparkled with joy and excitement. He could hardly contain the feelings! Oh, if his partner could speak, it would make his career and life much easier.
(Did Terran's partner Pokemon ever get mentioned in the RP? XD I'm not exactly sure so yeah)

"Well it's not as easy as it sounds. That shopkeeper was a very weird guy. How he got Kabutops to talk, I'll never understand." said Dan. He went over to the big hole in the floor where Scyther burst out of. "Aww man, look at that! Ruined my floor and ceiling." said Dan. Cale had gone downstairs, and ran back up. "Not much damage downstairs, just a few broken lamps, tables have legs missing, your furniture got tipped over, but I'd say what really suffered a lot of damage was the dinning room table and chairs." he said. Dan slapped himself in the face. "I hope insurance covers this..." he said. "Well the Rangers are repaired compensate you and fix all the damage." said Cale. Dan thought, then he decided it would be alright. "Well, we were thinking about refitting the carpet up here, so I guess we could." he said.

Cale nodded. "I'll get my crew on it now." he said, as he texted on his PokeGear. "Cale, we need to know, who tried to nab me? Why did they want me?" Sapphire said, panicking. again Dan patted her shoulder to calm her again. "Well Sapphire, they were hired criminals. But the people who hired them didn't want you, it was Dan they were after." said Cale. "Why? Who are they?" said Dan. "We have suspicions, but we can't exactly say who for sure." said Cale. "They said someone named Tabitha..." said Dan. "And that's who we're researching." said Cale. "This is a strange time, but I know who can help us. He's a Pokémon Professor by the name of Birch. He lives in Littleroot town." said Cale.

"Littleroot town?" said Dan. "Yes. We'll have to decide what to do. But we shouldn't rush. I've just received word that the thugs who raided you have been caught. Their van has been veered to a ditch by one of our Ranger's Kangahskahn. You won't need to worry about them coming back soon." said Cale. Sapphire sighed in relief as she hugged Kyler. "Well what about those goons who hired them?" said Dan. "They wouldn't reveal themselves completely just to get to you. I have a feeling these guys might use similar tactics to...our old friends." said Cale. Dan clenched his fists and he cringed as multiple thoughts raced through his head. "Alright, calm down Dan, there's no chance of them coming back. But I think there's something else coming along. Now listen, tomorrow we're gonna have a reunion party at my Summer home in Littleroot town. Everyone's gonna be there." said Cale. Dan suddenly got excited. "Everyone! You mean, Mace, Leaf, Rob, Lucy, Canderous?!" he jumped. "Yep. Everyone." said Cale.

He and Sapphire looked at eachother in excitement. "Wow! We get to see everyone again!" said Dan. "And we get to introduce everyone to Kyler!" said Sapphire. Kyler looked at his mother with a puzzled expression. "Professor Birch will also be there. Maybe there we can all discuss the matter. I know this is tough times but, lets all relieve ourselves. We have know Idea what will happen in the future, but tomorrow we can look forward to atleast a nice day with friends." said Cale. Dan and Sapphire nodded.

Cale looked over at Terran. "Terran, you're welcome to come too. You seem interested in our adventures, so I guess it wouldn't hurt to introduce you to our friends, and they'll tell you about our adventures." he said.

"Oh wow, really? I'd love that!" Terran shouted with glee. His eyes sparkled and shined even more, making him look more like a small child. He decided to run off to get his bags packed and to prepare his partner Pokemon, as well.
(Could I add a partner Pokemon to Terran, then?)
"Alright, everyone! We're going to Littleroot Town! Let's do our best to help Mr. Cale and Mr. Dan!" he said to his Pokemon, who all nodded and murmured in agreement.
